    A Legendary Bluetooth

I LOVE my bluetooth! It was easy to pair with my Note8. I can answer hands free by saying "answer" or ignore. There are several earbuds that came with the device, but the one installed fits well in my ear. Another thing I like is I DON'T have to worry about getting caught in the rain because it's water resistant. There are other features to this bluetooth so read the manual.

When it works it's great. It does not hold a charge. Supposed to last for 7 hours, but did not hold for even 5 hours today. Not enough for my 8 hour call center job. Bogus!

    Good earpiece for noisy backgrounds

Fairly light, simple and effective. This Plantronics Voyager headset looks bulky, but balances decently on the ear. It might not be suited for all ear types, because the loop is not adjustable. However, it does come with three different sized ear tips, which pre-installed medium worked best for me. There are some smart features built in, with limited voice commands or the ability to use your phones voice assistant. It will announce the incoming callers name and allow you to answer or ignore by simply saying it. If you aren’t already wearing it, the motion of putting it on your ear will automatically answer the call as well. However, I did find the built in voice commands limited and at times putting it back in pair mode when that is not what I was saying. I also forgot about the auto answer when placing it on the ear and found myself hanging up on people a couple times by thinking I had to push the button to answer. This is one feature you can change if you download the Plantronics Hub app. With the earpiece already connected, the app instantly recognized the model I was using and displays that it is connected, the talk time remaining and what the sensor is reading. For some reason it listed as “On Ear” even when not. Through the app you can “Find MyHeadset” by playing one of three sound effects at extreme loudness or backtrack using Google maps showing the location of where you were last connected. Seeing the sound level that it could put out from the location sound makes me wonder why I can’t get that level in normal volume as well. The app also provides a better instruction manual with several “How do I?” choices as well as a button and light description. The settings is where the app becomes kind of essential as I found no other way to make these changes. This is where you can enable/disable features like what the headset sensors can do, the prompt to answer/ignore calls and the one that changed my perspective is the HD Voice. At first, everyone I called stated I sounded like I was on speaker phone, kind of hollow and distant. However, once I enabled the HD Voice, it was like any other phone call I made. The down side to this is that it will consume more battery power, reducing talk time. As for sound quality, once I enabled the HD voice, I was coming in clear and I could hear them well. I purposely put myself in some noisy situations and in environments like fans, power equipment and engines, noise cancellation worked perfectly. To the point that the caller even questioned if it was still running. However, it became harder for me to hear them as the volume level could not go any higher through the phone or button on the device. Which it seems from the finding option that it is possible to be louder. Other more random noises still made it through though, like music, but I could still be heard. Though I didn’t make any calls that were 7 hours long, I did stream music to the device for a bit over 7 hours straight. The charging cable is short and magnetic, but unique. So, should it get damaged or lost, you aren’t just using a phone charger to keep it up. There is a separate charging case that can be purchased as well. Overall, still a good earpiece for someone that is in constant noise.

Home Office & Mobile Business - Essential

I was eager to select this Voyager Legend BT Headset to review in exchange for the product. Having a headset that is designed especially for phone conversations in all kinds of environments, is essential for me because I receive and make dozens of calls a day as a part-time, construction consultant. I can go anywhere with this headset as long as I am connected to my Smart Phone or other cellular devices. However, I use this headset more in my home office for phone calls because my stored data bases are there. I travel several times a month for on-site evaluations in the field. I was impressed using this Voyager Headset while on the road as to how it silenced most of the road noises while I was wearing it. This Plantronics Voyager Legend provides me with all the features for effective business communications. I love it. For over two weeks I have used this headset in my home office and on the road. Here's what I love about this headset: ***Audio Quality*** - When I am talking to clients they can hear me crystal clear because of the three mics, which help to cancel out background noises and emphasize my voice over all the weather, road, and construction-activity noises. I can hear them with clear and crisp audio quality because of the background noise suppression. When I travel out of town I use a GPS to get me to my final destination as many of these construction projects are out in remote areas. My GPS is BT to my phone, so I get all the audio directions through my Voyager Legend Headset without noisy road interference. WooHoo! ***Intuitive Controls*** - As soon as I put this headset on my ear it is ready to receive and make calls for me. It has what Plantronics calls Smart Sensor Technology. The headset knows when I am wearing it and when I'm not. With this headset off my ear it reverts all phone calls back to my Smart Phone and stops any audio streaming, like Pandora music, I was using at the time. I use Siri on my Apple Smart phone to make and receive calls. It is so easy, convenient, and hands free. Your Google or MS Cortana Voice Assistant can also be enabled to make or receive calls on this Voyager headset by pressing the 'Call' Button. Just enable your Phone's Assistant on your Smart Phone and press the Voyager's 'Call' button. What I really like is that this Voyager headset announces who is calling (it accesses my Smart Phone's Contact List) and allows me to Answer or Ignore. I love this Artificial Intelligence feature. If there is no announcement of my caller, the caller is either unlisted or unknown. It helps me to avoid those nuisance robocalls. YIKES! There are only four buttons on this Voyager Headset; On/OFF, Volume UP/Down, Multi-Functional Call Button (enables Siri, My Voice Assistant & BT Pairing), Multi-Functional Voice Command Button (Tap Voice Button for list of Voice Commands like Pairing, Battery Level, Call Back, etc.) I was pleasantly surprised how easy the learning curve is for this Voyager Legend Headset. But, be aware the control buttons are small and it takes a little getting used too. After two days of constant use I was up and running. ***Other Features*** * Talk Time – Up to seven hours when fully charged. Voice alerts tell me how much "Talk-time (x) hours" I have left, "Battery low", and "Recharge headset" are also announced. * Downloadable Software – Although mobile or PC software is not needed to operate the Voyager Legend Headset, I downloaded the Plantronics MyHeadset™Updater tool for Win 10, PC to review, and, make any changes to my existing Voyager Headset settings. Under 'Special Mode Settings' there is an option to change the voice commands setting to other languages. I did change the voice to HD quality, but changed it back quickly because it consumed too much battery life, and, the Voyager audio quality is already quite good. Firmware for this Voyager can also be updated through this free software, and it is available for both Windows and Mac at the Apple App Store or Google Play. I simply plugged my headset into the USB port of my PC. The same can be done for MAC. The free PLT Hub can also be downloaded on any mobile Smart Phone, either Android or IOS. I downloaded it to my Apple Smart Phone, and it gives me a visual battery meter, a User Manual of sorts, and an app that can help me find my headset if it is lost using loud sound tones. How cool is that? * Magnetic Charger – This is a proprietary charger that magnetically snap-fits onto the Voyager headset base. It is a simple set-up, but easily undone. A full charge takes approximately one hour and twenty minutes from my experiences. * Lightweight – At first glance this headset looks heavy and bulky. However, it weighs a little over a half of an ounce (.6 oz or 18 grams). * Fit – Although this headset is designed to be worn in either the right or left ears, it is not adjustable enough to compensate for larger ears, like my right ear. I can only wear this headset on my left ear. But it is super comfortable for me to wear for many hours. Unable to wear this headset on my right ear is not a deal breaker for me. But, it is something to be aware of before you purchase this headset, especially if you also have larger size ears. * Silicone Eartips – The Voyager Legend furnishes three sizes of silicone eartips, (S, M & L) with foam eartip covers for Small and Medium. The eartips simply lock into the headset by turning to the right, and out by turning to the left. * Moisture Protection – The manufacture states this headset is sweat proof. I can vouch for that since I live and work in North Florida where the weather is on 'Roasting' this Summer. They are coated with P2i nano-coating for sweat and moisture protection. YooHoo! I simply wipe them out with a disposable, antibacterial wipe after hours of being outdoors and perspiring in the hot sun. * One year warranty from date of purchase. ***Conclusion*** Simply stated this Voyager Legend BT Headset furnishes a lot of technology for business voice communications, and its price point. If you have a home office, or on the road, and make or receive lotsa' phone calls this baby is for you. The 'who-is-calling-announcement' is my favorite feature. I highly recommend the purchase of this Voyager Legend BT Headset for yourself, family member or friend, whose job requires numerous phone calls. Five Stars.

I wanted the Plantronics Voyager Legend because I know someone who did the research, chose the Voyager Legend and uses it everyday religiously. I’ve spoken to this person many times on the phone and being on the receiving end is wonderful. The voice is always clear and easy to understand. I’m upgrading from a Motorola headset that’s probably about 5 years old, so it was time for an upgrade. I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S10 with this headset and it synced as soon as I selected it. Sound quality is superb even though it’s probably not the best way to experience Dark Side of the Moon. I tried it just for fun and it sounded fine. It’s very comfortable in my ear, out of the box. It does not enter the ear canal. It does come with alternative eartips and foam eartip covers if needed. It’s a bit larger than my previous headset but not too big, that does not mean it’s heavy. It’s only 18 Grams and my head does not tilt to the right. I barely notice it in my ear at all. The voice quality should satisfy any business man, gossiper and loquacious person out there. It has no problem handling tougher conditions including walking, wind and parking structures, thanks to its advanced noise cancelling technology. Low-end headsets can’t handle wind and other noises very well, whereas this headset cancels out pretty much everything but your voice so that the person on the other side can hear more about your trip to the pet store, uninterrupted. You might need a bag of chips nearby, in case your mother-in-law calls. Voice commands are useful when driving, for example, you can answer the phone by saying “answer,” and it works wonderfully, the device will even tell you who’s calling, so that you can say “Ignore” when your mother-in-law calls. You also receive notifications through the headset. Battery life seems good, but will depend heavily on how much you use it. You might have to charge it once a week or so for normal use. Pro tip: if you’re a heavy user, I recommend getting the rechargeable case for it. Not only will it keep the headset in a pristine condition much longer, it will charge it when not in use, keeping it charged much longer. Do not keep it in your pocket. You’re better than that. The Voyager Legend is the premier headset for anyone who talks on the phone a lot and is looking for a comfortable headset with the best sound quality.

SUMMARY The Voyager Legend offers better call quality, a smaller size, a more comfortable fit, and a longer battery life. Advance features such caller announce, voice commands, smart call routing puts this ahead of the curve of others. Folks who talk all over town and need a good connection with clear sound are the demographic for this item. THE GOOD: Lighter and less bulky Good audio quality Comfortable design 7 hour battery life Noise canceling Sweat Proof THE BAD: Ear tips don't form a tight audio seal Voice button for voice command is very small, can be a bit awkward to press PERFORMANCE: Voyager Legend has three microphones to improve audio. The device also supports wide-band audio for extra clarity. My test calls from bustling streets, within crowded restaurants, or inside my office. People on the other end couldn't tell I was chatting from a mobile connection either, though they could pick up ambient background noise such as babbling babies and running water. The Voyager Legend features multi-point pairing, meaning you can link it to two devices simultaneously. In fact I had the headset connected to both my Samsung Galaxy S8 test unit and laptop. That said, both call quality were good most of the time but with some VoIP calls that were choppy but other factors such as WIFI connections may have been the culprit. FINAL THOUGHTS: This device works well for what it was design for but the ear tips are just feels funny just laying outside my ear canal and had to get use to it. You have to download Plantronic App for the advanced features which like very much, the headphones itself tells you battery status verbally but nice to have it on the app as well. Overall not for a business oriented person on the phone most of the time.

I had a previous generation a few years back and loved it. Thanks to Un-tied Airlines, they were "kind" enough to destroy it for me with their fine baggage handling. When I saw this little guy pop up, I grabbed it straight away. I am not disappointed. Sound quality is very good, operation is easy and it's quite comfortable. No complaints on sound or control. I do wish it were a little smaller to make it easier to put in my ear while wearing a hat, but that's really my only complaint. In all, I would recommend this to a friend. Not the smallest BT by any stretch, but feature rich, especially for the price. Disclaimer: This product was provided free, or at reduced cost, for the purpose of reviewing the product. Nevertheless, the above review, be it positive, negative, or anywhere in-between, is a 100% honest review, and the price paid played absolutely no part in my review.

Sleek and Comfortable Headset that Performs Well

The Plantronics Voyager Legend is a sleek Bluetooth 3.0 headset. The black and silver look gives it a very classy and professional appearance. That’s just the start of the good things to note here. I was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy with the caller name announcements. This was even more impressive when I had the headset paired to two phones at the same time. My personal and work mobile phones had no issues connecting and performed well. I have taken plenty of calls while out walking the dog and the others have never complained about the noise. One person only commented that they could hear the birds chirping, but didn’t even mention the 20 mph gusts of wind in the mic. That is impressive. I have been very happy with the call quality and media streaming quality as well. The music doesn’t come through as well as normal wireless earbud, but it does an admirable job. The headset will even pause the music selection if a call comes in. That’s something I find to be handy as well. I am still getting used to the voice commands and button controls, but they are pretty useful. You have the mute/play-pause button, power switch, call answer/end button, and then volume toggle. They are all comfortable to use and not hard to find when feeling for them on the headset. The last thing that I want to talk about is the charging. I love how Plantronics chose a magnetic option. This is super convenient and easy to make sure you are charging it. I do have one small gripe about the charging though. I have never seen is state that it’s at 100%. It’s never said more than 80% when I have checked. It’s annoying, but doesn’t seem to be impacting talk time or functionality from what I can tell. All in all, I think this is a versatile headset that provides excellent service. I would recommend the Plantronics Voyager Legend to anyone looking for a light, comfortable headset that does the job.

I used this headset with my Android phone and had it for some time now. It is a high-quality headset with excellent features, and it seamlessly connects to my phone and other devices. It is very lightweight and comfortable to wear, even for long hours. I use it almost every day, especially while working at my home office. The precision audio works as expected, good mic quality and background noise canceling. All my callers notice the enhanced sound quality. What I like the most is that it announces the caller every time someone calls me. The product design looks very elegant and efficient. Overall, this is a good headset and should satisfy anyone who wants hands free communication, no more having people talk over the speaker.
