    Get a grip

I have always been hesitant to get a finger grip for my iPhone. This is mainly because in the past when I've used cases with a finger grip built-in, the finger grip prevented me from attaching the case to other mounts, like the one on the dashboard of my car. And then some of the cases with built-in grips added a lot of bulk and weight in order to also have kickstand functionality. So as much as I enjoyed having a finger grip, I had stopped using them. Until now. The PopSocket MagSafe Round Kick-Out PopGrip Cell Phone Grip & Stand brings back all the benefits of having a finger grip with very few, if any, downsides. First, the pop-up mechanism that PopSocket popularized is still a delight to use. It pops out nicely but also stays tucked in properly when not needed. Second, instead of an adhesive, this grip is MagSafe compatible. You simply attach it magnetically to your phone or suitable case. The grip stays on firmly without any rotation or loss of attachment. If I need to remove the grip so I can attached the phone to my dashboard mount, a firm tug is all that's needed. The unit comes with an adapter ring in case your phone or case is not MagSafe compatible. Third, the grip is cleverly designed with a hinge that lets you "unfold" the grip and use it as a kick stand. My one minor gripe is that the once attached, the ring does not rotate. So to change the kickstand from landscape to portrait aspect, I have to remove the grip and reattach it placing the hinge in the appropriate place. Not a big deal. All in all, this is a great grip.

A great new spin on a classic design

The PopSocket MagSafe Round Kick-Out PopGrip is a great new spin on a classic design. Note: I tested this with an iPhone 16 Pro Max and an official iPhone MagSafe case. The PopSocket is made of a number of materials, including a durable plastic, rubber (the telescoping portion), and metal. It feels very sturdy and I wouldn’t have any concerns around regularly using it with an expensive phone. The big feature of this iteration of the PopSocket is the ability for it to fold down into a stand. Previous versions of the PopSocket allowed you to use it as a stand in landscape (horizontal), but the fold down functionality in this one allows it to stand in portrait (or vertically). It holds the phone up well and I had no concerns around the device being secure. The mechanism itself is easy and intuitive enough to use—I simply pull the PopSocket in the direction of the hinge and it pulls down. Since the PopSocket is round I initially kept just putting it on in a way that the hinge wasn’t facing the correct direction, but I realized that the hinge is visible when i put it on so as long as I pay attention while I do so, it was easy enough to get it aligned correctly. Overall, if you are looking for a new PopSocket and you think you’d appreciate having a kickstand, this is a great option. If you already have a PopSocket (and a collection of the interchangeable tops) I think this would be a worthwhile upgrade if you’re also looking for a stand.

    Landscape or Portrait use.... GENIUS!

OMG…. I have been a MagSafe and PopSocket user for years. I love these products. But one issue I had was I could stand the phone up in landscape mode on my desk but I could never stand it up vertical (for facetime or video calls). Well Problem Solved!!!! Genius, I absolutely love this round kick out. EASY to install…. If you do not have a magsafe phone or case there is an adapter you can apply to your phone or case to make it. I love that once it is connected to my magsafe phone it feels very sturdy. It collapses nearly flat so you hardly notice it is the\re. It is easy to open and expand the pop socket for holding or to align it in the exact right angle for viewing, You can use the phone in landscape or portrait mode with ease. And I LOVE that the unit swivels to help you achieve the perfect position. It feels well made and should last a long time. I love that it feels nearly flat when it is collapsed and in my pocket yet sturdy to hold my phone up when I want to set it down for viewing or hands free use.

Quite A Strong Magnet... Too Strong?

Pop sockets are great, I love having one on my phone because it really helps reduce the fatigue on my thumbs and wrist when trying to hold my phone while laying on the couch or in bed. However, there haven't been any MagSafe ones so I was stoked to try this one. Aesthetically, it is pretty nice. A stainless steel magnet encased in a durable hard plastic and a comfortable rubber grip. The Magnet also comes out and folds at a 90 degree angle so you can adjust your phone as a kickstand. However, the magnet is very strong on it. It can be a bit cumbersome to try to get it on and off. My phone already has a magsafe magnet ring on it, so I did not need to use the included adhesive magnet that they provide, which you can use to tape to the back of your phone so the pop socket will attach. That and the fact this thing is $35 is why I have to give it 4 stars. A regular pop socket? $5-8, one with a magnetic ring on a small hinge? $35. That just doesn't add up to me. And the fact that in order to charge your phone you have to always be struggling to remove the magnet... but still, a solid product overall.

    Longtime Popsocket Fan!

For years now I have been an avid user & advocate of PopSockets. Every phone I have had (from iPhones, to Google Pixel phones, to even the Pixel Fold) I have had a PopSocket on them. I believe I bought my first one around late 2014 or sometime in 2015. So it's been probably at least 10 years now. Wow! I didn't really realize it had been that long! I have had everything from the cheap similar looking/performing solutions (which don't last long & usually break within a year) to the normal PopSocket you had to stick on, to the basic MagSafe, to the Anker PopSocket MagSafe Charger, and now this kind that has the hinge that acts as like an actual kickstand for your phone. I have loved all of the official PopSockets that I have placed on my phones. I have even gotten them for my kids, my mom, and my significant other too! What I really love about this one is something I've already mentioned previously, and that is that it opens up & acts like a kickstand. I think it's great! I actually used this one as a replacement for a similar device that had little screws that held the two pieces together for the kick out function. The screws were constantly backing out & with this it looks to be spot welded and so I do not think that will be an issue on this (yay!). What I like to do, because I lose my MagSafe mounting ability when I have the PopSocket on there, is I buy little thin circular 3M tape having discs that are the perfect size of the PopSocket head & I place it on the top of the PopSocket so that I can use my car's magnetic mount and just have that metal on top of the PopSocket to magnetically hold itself with my mount. It works flawlessly. I really love all the different options of PopSockets that you can get. I've had the Batman logo numerous times, I've had the plain black one like this one, I've had a white one, and I've had a few clear ones. I love how you can change out the PopSocket just depending on your mood, which is what my mom, my kids & my significant other always do. So I end up buying them a few different styles for their birthdays, the holidays, etc. All because PopSockets make such great little gifts! I really love how it has helped me with my phone-hand posture. I used to have Carpal Tunnel really bad, but I had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery about 7-8 years ago & so this helps me to not have my hands hurting when I am holding the phone. I cannot say enough great things about PopSockets. If you are in the market for a device which helps you to hold your phone then look nowhere else but PopSocket because they are the OG in this game & they make pieces that will last the life of your phone! I have yet to have a single PopSocket break the entire time I have owned them. I usually just end up switching cases or phones & so buy a new one then. That's how much I truly love the PopSocket brand & their products! Get yours today! It's a 5/5 for me!

I became a PopSocket convert as soon as they released their first MagSafe version, and I've been using them daily ever since. I've tried other styles, but it's hard to beat the original phone grip. I was excited to see the next evolution in their MagSafe lineup: the Kick-Out PopGrip. Here's the sleek round PopSocket I'm a huge fan of, but with a discreetly-integrated kickstand. Nice! The Kick-Out Popgrip arrived in standard PopSocket packaging, made of recyclable materials and minimally-covered. It was easy to remove the PopGrip and snap it to the back of my MagSafe-compatible iPhone 16 Pro case. In fact, it's pretty difficult to tell the difference between this grip and the standard round grip... save for a sleek silver hinge poking out of the edge. As the name implies, the Kick-Out PopGrip folds out using this hinge, enabling not just fingertip gripping but horizontal and vertical kickstand use. The hinge is well-weighted: stiff enough to keep your phone propped at the angle you choose, but not so stiff that you can't easily rotate the hinge without detaching the magnets from the back of your phone. I'm a fan of the way the magnets are now part of a silver ring underneath the PopSocket's round back plate. It's seamlessly integrated and doesn't add any bulk at all. Even better, the magnetic ring seems more durable than the backing on my original Round PopSocket, which began peeling off in small pieces around the edge after a few months of use. In practice, this Kick-Out PopGrip functions just like a regular PopSocket -- including the ability to exchange the grip for one of PopSocket's endless array of options -- while adding a useful kickstand functionality. Being able to prop my phone up at any angle, especially for FaceTime calls on the go, quickly became part of my routine when I installed the Kick-Out PopGrip. After a few weeks of daily use the hinge is still nice and sturdy and the PopGrip shows no signs of wear at all. Overall, this is a great, no-brainer upgrade to PopSocket's Round MagSafe offering. It adds functionality without impacting the core PopSocket experience, and does it without adding bulk. Best of all, this PopSocket keeps my favorite feature: MagSafe. Pop it on when you want it, take it off when you're done. This is a five-star product and an easy recommendation.

This product is a MagSafe pop socket attachment. It magnetically attaches to the back of a MagSafe phone case. This product gives you the ability to prop your phone up on a surface by flipping out the attachment and also provides a grip to be able to securely hold your phone with one hand. Installation was simple. Right out of the box it attaches magnetically to the back of your MagSafe phone case. The pop socket is plain black but is interchangeable with other pop socket designs available on their website. The pop socket pushed in is not flush with the rest of the attachment. In general it’s fairly flat for an attachment that has two functions. The attachment is sturdy and the MagSafe portion is made of metal. The attachment also flips out to provide a way to prop your phone up on a surface and watch videos or be able to take pictures. You can turn it to prop it up vertically or horizontally. The attachment has a hinge that allows a piece of it to flip out like a little door to act as a kick stand. I found it to be sturdy and held its place while “kicked out” and did not slide more open or closed while using it.

The PopSocket MagSafe Round Kick-Out PopGrip Cell Phone Grip & Stand, with Adapter Ring for Mobile Phones is a handy gadget for my phone. There's a ring magnet the attaches to your phone which the popsocket attaches to. It comes with a guide for Samsung, IPhone, and Pixel phones which helps in placing the ring so it doesn't interfere with other elements of the phone. The magnet is strong enough that I'm not worried about losing the popsocket. At the same time, it is handy to be able to take the popsocket off when needed. For me, that is when I need my phone in my car and I need the popsocket off to fit the phone in the holder. The inner rings of the popsocket are a good size for smaller hands and I find it more comfortable to hold than some of my previous popsockets which had thicker inner rings. A great feature for me is the "kick-out" part which allows the phone to "stand", either upright or on its side. It's great for hands-free video calls as it allows me to use my computer or laptop while on the call.

Unboxing was straightforward. Included was the Pop Socket and a spare Mag Safe aftermarket part. The Pop Socket/stand was easy to attach to my phone. I did not need the MagSafe connector since my phone has that already. Set up and use: Setup was easy. Remove from packaging and attach. The Mag Safe add on would be nice if my phone was an older model so I could take advantage of the product. I did like how easy it was to take on and off. It did not slide or feel like my phone would fall off when attached. I still do not like that I have to remove it for my drive home and charging at night since I have wireless charging there. Also, when in my pocket you can feel it there and it makes the phone that much thicker. Use: I found it useful to hold the phone when I was playing certain games since I needed my other hand to touch a certain part of the screen. The Stand function was nice, but I found it sometimes extra work to slide it around on the phone to get the landscape or portrait stand to be solid and not wobbly. I wish this was something what worked no matter how you connected it. Ultimately after several days I like it, but I use my phone all day and do not find the added weight and thickness to be worth it. I would probably like it more if there was a way to pass through the wireless charging without removing it. In summary, I think this would be better on the larger model of the phone or if the user watched a lot of content while it was sitting on a desk, bed, etc.

Great accessory for any phone ! (Magsafe or not)

This is a useful little accessory for any phone. Ofcourse the latest iPhones will work with it, but the package even comes with a circular magnetic strip with an adhesive, so you can retroactively turn any phone or phone case into magsafe compatible. If you do have a case though, you need to stick the magnetic strip over the case not on the phone, the magnet's not strong enough to attract and keep the phone stuck on through the case. But yeah once stuck on the case, the popsocket sticks right on to it, and the strength feels more than adequate, there is never a feeling that the phone might fall off, if you are holding on to it with the pop socket. And the best part wireless charging still works through the magnetic strip, just pull off the popsocket and you are good to go. The popsocket itself is handy to hold the phone with a clean strong grip, especially if you want to take a selfie. No more holding on to the phone gingerly on the edges, hoping it doesn't slip out. In landscape mode the pop socket as is acts as a stand as well, and in Portraid mode, the socket swings open to even make a vertical stand. This thing can do it all, its the swiss army knife of phone accessories. I am loving it.

This popsocket is pretty slick i'm not going to lie. It has your normal pop on magsafe compatible popsocket that you can just pop on your compatible iphone or use the included magnet ring to transform any phone to use the popsocket. But the cool thing about this popsocket is that it has a hinge that comes off of the magsafe ring. This allows for you to use the phone in many different viewing angles and lots of different grips styles than the average popsocket. It worked great with my magsafe compatible case. The only negative I have on this popsocket is there is no ability to use a magsafe charger without first removing the popsocket and then charging. I wish popsocket would come up with a way to use utilize magsafe charging without having to remove it. My vehicle charger and my night charger are both magsafe chargers so I have to constantly remove the popsocket. Other than that I think it's a pretty cool concept that is outside the box thinking that popsocket is known for and if you don't use magsafe charging and want some different grip options for your phone give this one a go.

I picked this up for my wife, since she's expressed a desire to have some kind of kickstand for her iPhone 15 Pro that works with MagSafe. I thought this would be a no brainer, and she'd get a pop socket to boot. Sadly, she was more frustrated by the constant take it off, put it back on whenever she was trying to use a MagSafe accessory. I liked the fact that it's designed to work on the bare back of a MagSafe compatible phone, and also works with a case that is designed to allow MagSafe accessories. It works exactly like it's described. You get a black rubber pop socket back, that hinges on a magnetic ring. The ring is what holds the Pop Socket to the back of the phone's MagSafe area. Opening the hinge turns the Pop Socket into a sort of kick stand, so your phone can be propped up to watch a video, take a call, or whatever. Sadly, as well as this was designed, my wife said it wasn't for her. She got frustrated by the constant take-off, remember where you put it, then put it back on again. We have MagSafe docks to charge at home, as well as in the car, so the Pop Socket spent more time off her phone, than on it. I think if you're not already locked into a MagSafe ecosystem, and this is the only MagSafe accessory you have, then you'd be fine. Well designed, and intentioned product, we just weren't the target customers.

If you like pop sockets and you have a mag safe phone case, then this is a great addition. Even if you do not have a mag safe case you can still get this as it comes with a magnetic strip that you can place on your phone and make it somewhat like a mag safe case but without being able to charge wirelessly. That said, one complaint I have with this is that my phone would not charge while this was on my phone. I have to take it off each time. For me personally this is not that big a deal as I charge my phone with a cord anyways. But if you prefer to charge wirelessly, you will have to take this off each time. The only other complaint, and again not really an issue for me personally, but if you like to manually put your pop socket where you want, if you have a mag safe case, you won't be able to do so. At the same time, I like that you can take it off if you want and you won't leave residue. I like that this also come out at an angle so you can stand your phone up better. And it is comfortable to hold if you have used pop sockets. Overall, I do not mind this personally as I still charge with a cord and used to having my grips in the location that my mag safe case puts them at.
