I got tired of suction-cup mounts that would fall off unexpectedly, and that are quite fiddly to attach. I had my doubts about how well this mount would work, and was concerned that it would not hold well to the top of the dash, but it turned out to work quite well. I am very happy with it!

Served its purpose which was to securely hold my GPS. Didn't want for risk my rental being broken into so I would put the stand on the ground. Bad idea since its sticky bottom was a dirt and pebble magnet. Wasn't the same despite cleaning, but still recommend. Just avoid dirty foot mats!

I purchased this Garmin GPS mount for my Garmin Dezl 700. It is very stable on my 2007 F250 dash, and has never slid or moved despite rough terrain and sharp tuns. It also puts the GPS in closer view as opposed to windshield mounting which makes it easier to see and also operate.

I had always used suction cup style holders in the past, and with the hot sun in FL they would fall off. This stays put on dash and does not move no matter what. Great product.

I travel for my job. Therefore, I do a lot of long distance driving. And this GPS holder held its own during the 20 plus hour drive from NY to FL. It didn't fall from the dash once. And the material of the product is great quality and very durable. I would highly recommend.

Didn't want anything permanent or windshield suction type mount for my dash cam. This is perfect solution. Good for dash cam or GPS. Base is flexible to dash contour and even though not permanent it stays put due to gripping material under base that does not leave any marks on dashboard.

This item is the best way to use my garmin... I would advise anyone that uses a garmin should use this holder

This mount works great for my Garmin 51 GPS. It sits where I positioned it on my car dash with very little movement. I've been using it for the past month in frigid weather without sliding or falling over, and provides a clear view of the device.

I drive a truck where the windshield is to far away to work the GPS. I mounted this on a vinel dash concell for better accessibility. I remove this frequently and it always will grap the surface again. No complaints.

I bought this friction mount because the one that came with my GPS (that goes in the window) kept falling down. I just came back from vacation and after using this item and it was better than I expected. I put it on the dash and it didn't move until I moved it. Good job Garmin!!!

Elsa good product I put in my GPS and the middle of my consul and I have no obstruction when I'm driving it's very sturdy it will not fall over/tilt I don't have to put your GPS and the windshield with a suction cup and worry about the sun and heat damage it as much

This mount is very flexible to conform to the shape of the dash. The arm folds flat making it compact and easy to store or transport. This is my second mount Garmin friction because I was pleased with my first purchase and needed a second.

I bought this model for the large screen size and lifetime maps and traffic. Generally, it has worked well, though I have not accessed many of its special features, so I can't comment on them. I did not love having to pay extra for the connecting cable that enables the traffic, but twice already this month it has allowed me to avoid long delays on my way to specific appointments in the Jacksonville, FL area. I went ahead and bought the traffic enabled power cable, as I suspect that connecting to traffic via my smart phone would eat a hole in my data allotment. It has also consistently told me to be in the left lane at one specific intersection at which I should first be in the right lane and only after exiting the freeway turn left, but the screen view is correct to guide me properly. I like it well enough to strongly consider buying a second one for our other vehicle, but I'm waiting for a sale price.

I was surprised at how well this actually worked. I had always stuck my GPS to my window only to have it fall off mid-drive requiring myself or my wife to fix it constantly on road trips. This mount eliminates the headache, allowing me to drive to my destination without issue.

I wanted a GPS mount that didn't attach to the windshield. This product is a great option for the dash.

I love this dash mount. I like tha the flexible bottom hugs the curve in my dash. It's sticky enough that it doesn't go sliding everywhere. And the arm lets me move my gps up or down to adjust for glare. Two thumbs up.
