Pretty much, just set it and forget it. I stays in place, and really does not move at all when you are driving normally. It does have a rather large footprint though...

The stand sits well on the dash and has not shifted. It can be shaped to fit. Was not sure about it when I ordered it but I am well satisfied.

I have had no luck with the suction cup device holding on to the windshield. Usually falls off and scares me. This should hold the larger unit quite steady.

Sent it as a birthday gift with the Garmin. The local Best Buy was out of the item although the web site said they had them in stock. My sister was please with the mount.

The base is malleable to the dash for a good fit. The Garmin snaps into place and can also be adjusted in all directions.

This GPS Stand is excellent, it always stays right where i sit it. The flat bottom of the stand can be adjusted if your dashboard has any curves.

Folds nicely for travel, perhaps a little heavy for that purpose but the weight is necessary to provide the support needed for heavier devices such as GPS.

I highly recommend this Garmin holder -- It stays put on the dash way better than the old suction cup ones that had a sticky pad (which caused permanent damage to a dash when removed).

Easy to reach than having gps on windshield. Must have flat surface area to stick to. Didn't hold to well on curved part of dash.

Ever since discovering this friction mount, has been the choice for GPS. More stable and better field of view than the suction cup windshield mount.

Even an old man can figure this one out. Right out of the box, I attached the gps, and mounted it to the dash. I prefer just attaching it to the counsel.

Love this because it is portable and not stuck down. It is easy for me to read the GPS and can be put almost anywhere. Recommend this.

Works great, doesn’t stay sticky if you remove it and move it around several times. Needs to be better made for it to be moved.

The original windshield mount kept falling off so I decided to give this option a try. It stayed in place and does not fall off dash or block view.

The holder that came with the gps was a nailbreaker when attaching unit to it and removing. On a whim hubby bought this one and works great, sturdy!!!

This is the first mount that actually stays on my dash where i put it. That a very difficult thing to do with the angles and the quick take-offs. I give this a 10

I bought this mount for my GPS unit and I'm pleased to say it works great. It holds my GPS securely and doesn't slide around on my dash. What more could you ask for?

The set up couldn't be simpler. Sit it on your dash and it holds. That's it! It has never fallen off or failed to stick. Well worth the price

This mount has been absolutely stable on my dashboard. Best of all, it's not a permanent mount. It can be moved between cars, and used in rental cars on vacation.

I bought this after my Garmin kept sliding off my dash with a beanbag kind of mount and couldn't be happier. It's stationary and works perfectly!
