This base allows us to use the Garmin without having to "glue" the suction disk to the dashboard. No mess and when not in use there is nothing on the dash...

It doesn't sit properly in the center of my dash due to a tray located there, but it fits nicely in the drivers side corner. Once it is placed, it doesn't move. I have used the suction mount that comes with my GPS & it loses suction sometimes. This mount is a better alternative.

The bottom is weighted to stay put and flexible to contour to the dash. The GPS mounting arm swivels up and down. When mounted, the Garmin GPS swivels in all directions.

It folds when not attached which allows for easy travel on planes and to my other cars. The only downside - which hasn't been a problem for me - is that it may shake some on a bumpy road.

The bottom is very "tacky" and stays in place. It is washable if it gets too dust from a dirty dash. The mat portion is flexible and can conform to a curved dash. This is my second one. You won't regret choosing this.

It did not slip or fall from the dash even though it is not "glued" down. The mount lets you easily remove it from the dash and place it on the floor of your car so it is not visible to be stolen when you are away from your car.

This base sits on the top of the dash and does not slide around. I was able to adjust the camera, and to see the gps properly.

However, I hope Garmin can keep develop new designs to fit all type of car's panels.

Allows the driver a close visual of the screen. The base bends to conform to the dash. A shortcoming is the base is long so a narrow steep dash in a compact car can make it more difficult to position.
