It was not flexible enough the hard plastic made it so it would not fit my dash which is contoured but I think that is the way most cars are built and it is HUGE. I returned it.

Base was larger than expected and has the "sticky" base rather than a weighted base. Holds the Garmin securely and I can adjust it for easy viewing. Does not slide on dash.

I am told that people look for the 'tracks' that the suction mounts leave on your window--that tells them that you have a GPS. My only trouble was I couldn't find a place on my dash that would accommodate this mount,

This is a good way to hold the Garmin if you don't want to clamp your mount to the windshield. Depending on the shape of your dash, it may move around when taking curves or hitting bumps.

This mount hold the Garmin very firmly, but the rubber friction pad on the bottom stained the dashboard permanently;

Holds the GPA in place without having to use a sunction cup to attach t the windshiled. Allows the whole unit to be picked up and hidden when in parking lots. In short easy to move & hide, and no more flying GPS on high speed corners.

I purchased this mount for my new Transit because the windshield is a steep angle and quite a distance away from the driver. It sits on the dash just above the steering wheel without moving and I can see it clearly.

I was hesitant about getting this base but after a 13 hour trip I was pleasantly surprised. Ithe actually held the GPS in place and didn't move an inch. I use it between 3 different vehicles and it works perfect every time.

We recently purchased a Garmin GPS Nuvi 3597, which came with a window mount. The associate at Best Buy quickly pointed out that it was illegal in some states, so we decided on this dash mount. It looks great and works perfectly with our device.

We were having trouble getting our GPS in a comfortable viewing position and this mounting system worked like a charm.

This is great if you don't want to put your GPS on the windshield of your car and risk it falling off while you're driving.

This mount mostly does what it's supposed to do, but I've found that unless it is positioned perfectly, it has a tendency to go flying off the dashboard if I happen to brake suddenly.

This base sits well in the corner of the window to the left of the steering wheel. The sticky stuff on the bottom keeps it from sliding around. It just makes it easier to use the GPS, in my opinion.

So far I have used this mount for about three weeks. And it seems to work fine. I made left and right turns And it doesn't fall off. So I would recommend it. only problem with it that it shakes a bit.

It stays where you put and is very flexible in how you place it on your dash. A good value for your money. This is my second one because I accidentally broke the first one.

I actually returned the one with a sticky surface for the other weighted bag type mount,which was referred to as a friction mount also. I got this to give as a gift,and didn't feel the person would want to have it sticking to their dash. I have one with the weighted bag,and I really like it. When I bought the first one,I didn't realize it was a sticky surface,or I wouldn't have bought it. The weighted one was not available at that time.

Must have if you own a Garmin GPS and do not want to have a suction on your drivers window. only downside is that it will leave a oily residue from the bottom of the friction

This item solved my problens of the Garmin sliding all over the car whenever I made a turn or stopped. The price was good and so far I'm very happy with the purchase.

I ought this to use in my car instead of the window mount. I was looking at the bean bag style but was concerned with it dry rotting. This one works great. The GPS stays in place and does not slide.
