So, let me get down to the specs that are not shown on the description. This power brick gives you 5 Volts @ 1.5 amp hours This is more then enough current to provide power to something like the Power A Dual Joycon charger that by surprise comes with NO charger. With the power that comes out of this charger it is enough to use on these devices: 1. NES Classic Edition 2. SNES Classic Edition 3. Nintendo Switch (Pro Controller) for charging only 4. Nintendo Switch (Joycon Controller) for charging with the charging Grip 5. Pokeball Plus Controller Devices it Can NOT charge due to lack of Voltage and Amp Hour rating. 1. NINTENDO SWITCH Console on the dock. The dock requires 15 Volts @ 2.6 Amps in order for it to power the switch console and the 3 additional USB ports that are on the dock at the same time. The original charger that comes on the switch has two different voltage settings 1 for connecting a pro controller or joycon to charge at 5 volts @ 1.5 amps or as mention above 15 volts @ 2.6 amps for the whole switch dock. 2. NINTENDO 3DS system, this system requires 4.6 volts @ 900mA so this charger will fry your 3DS if you try it so PLEASE DONT! There you have it Ladies and Gentlemen. So if you need a charger to use with your Power A Joycon charger or want to charge a single pro controller that does NOT exceed 5 volts @ 1.5 Amp Hours then this is the right choice for you. It's been well known that there's some risk to power adapters not officially licensed by Nintendo that pose a slim chance of damaging your Switch console, so it's great that Nintendo sells a power adapter that's smaller than the one that comes packaged with every Switch for easy portability. It's actually the same power adapter that was packaged with the NES Classic and SNES Classic Edition consoles and it'll work fine for those as well as Nintendo 3DS and DSi systems and most other USB devices. You will need a USB charging cable for 3DS or DSi however as neither of those have USB ports. Also, note that this power adapter cannot power the Switch dock. It is only for powering or charging the Switch console itself for handheld play.

The only reason I have this 3 stars is because it is not advertised properly. I bought it to plug my usb-c charger into for the switch. This is only for switch accessories though not supported to charge a switch.

Just charges your switch. Can’t use this when docked

This charger works just as good as the original one that’s included with the system or just carry with you on the rode but either way it works very well.

good thing Nintendo made this wall charger especially when in need of a longer nintendo switch charging cable

I paired my AC Power Adapter with the Power A joycon charging station. It charges my joycons well without having to use a USB port on my Switch docking station.

This doesn't charge the actual Nintendo Switch, but it's good if you want a separate charger for your pro controller or something.

Needed a spare plug in for traveling and this does the trick. This does not work with the Switch. It is more for the 2ds, 3ds, and classic systems.

I've already gotten two of these for those pesky mini-consoles without it (PS Classic and NEOGEO mini) and it works without any issues. It's a little expensive but it's guaranteed to work. Two thumbs up!

I can charge my pro controller or the Switch in handheld mode without having to dock. Small enough to travel as well.

It's compact enough to fit in most backpacks and bags, making it easy to carry with you everywhere!

The only reason I gave a one star is because it's labeled as the adapter for the switch and then clearly states on the back of the box that it is not for the switch. It's an adapter for the NES, SNES, 2DS, 3DS etc. This is NOT FOR the Nintendo SWITCH.

This is not advertised correctly. The adapter is not intended for use with the Nintendo Switch per the back of the box. It is only used to charge switch accessories. I returned mine...

Great on the go plug, when you use the controller cable with it.

This is way easier to pack for trips than the dock.
