Unlike most people, I didn't buy this to game stream Xbox games from my Xbox to my phone. Instead, I bought this to play emulator games (SNES and PlayStation mostly) and play some mobile phone games like Levelhead, Final Fantasy mobile ports, and stuff. My review is based on that experience, although I'm sure it does just fine with game streaming as well (remember, you need an Xbox to game stream Xbox games. Your Xbox plays them and streams them over your local network to your phone).
Pros
1. Good feel. It feels a bit smaller than an Xbox One controller but not in a bad way. Good heft without being heavy. Grippy textures along the back make it easy to hold.
2. Joysticks have a satisfying amoung grip and the buttons have a satisfying amount of click. This isn't like the cheap Bluetooth controllers from 5-6 years ago where the triggers were spongy and difficult to use.
3. The phone clamp holds my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (no small feat) without wobbling. However, you do need to make sure you tighten the clamp well after putting your phone in.
4. Having a wired mode is nice.
5. Easy to connect via Bluetooth. It also connects very quickly after the initial pairing.
6. Came with plenty of cables and instructions to make sure everything works right.
7. My emulators (SuperRetro16, John NESS, and ePSXe) recognized it immediately (although I had to manually set it up in John NESS and ePSXe).
8. So did my controller-compatible Android games.
9. Best Buy price matched *that other company* so I got this for $15 off.
10. There is a battery checker button along the bottom that lets you see how much battery you have left (four indicator lights). It's nice.
11. There is also a 3000mAh integrated battery bank. If you don't use it (which I don't have any intention to), that gives this thing ridiculous battery life. I played Super Metroid for 3 hours yesterday and it was 2 out of 4 lights when I started as well as ended.
Neutral
1. This apparently works as an Xbox controller too. I haven not tested that functionality so I can't comment on that.
2. I have yet to find a use for the two extra buttons on the back of the controller. My emulators don't seem to recognize them and neither do my games. I may need to look more into it as I am all but certain it is user error.
Cons
1. The phone clamp is made out of plastic and I am terrified that I'm gonna break it snapping it on and off the controller. Additionally, the tightening "bolts/screws" are also plastic and I am terrified I'm going to break it when I tighten it. I wish, especially for the price, that the phone holder clamp was of higher quality.
2. The D-Pad can be slightly spongy. It's not NEARLY as bad as the ones that used to be "bad", but compared to the pristine, sharp, immediate clicks of an Xbox Series X/S controller, this one is definitely a step down.
3. I don't know when this thing was launched, but USB-C has been a thing for a very long time now and it's always disappointing to see a micro-USB plug these days.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. I was tickled to death that my emulators were so easy to set up with this thing (SuperRetro16 didn't even require setup, it had everything right out of the gate). The phone clamp, despite being cheap, does its job well (for now, we'll see long term).
It's a tad pricey, but honestly, with how enjoyable the experience has been, I don't regret my purchase at all. Plus, if it does actually work as an Xbox controller (and it seems like it does), then it's nice to have a third backup controller just in case. Fully recommended.
Also, Best Buy sells this one and one branded with "Samsung". They are both PowerA MOGA XP5-X+ (or XP5-X Plus depending on how you search for it) and there doesn't seem to be any difference between the two as far as I can tell despite having a different SKU for some reason.

Perfect controller for otg gaming. With the included phone clip its great for long flights or drives for your kids.the controller its self is great for use on any android device with bluetooth like the galaxy tablets or the nvidia shield tv. this is much more useable than the razer controller that only works with certain phones despite the box saying most phones the razer only works with usb c enabled phones. The only down side (if it matters to you) is no rumble/feed back. The controller does have the ability to charge your phone while you play. Highly recomend

Bought this to use with RetroPie on my Raspberry Pi. The Bluetooth connection was established quickly and seamlessly. There's no lag and the battery lasts quite a while. I charged it once after I got it home and haven't needed to charge it again so far. I love the battery indicator too. The build quality is great, but we'll see how it holds over time.
One nitpick is the micro USB port for charging the controller. I believe this was released in 2020, so it should have USB-C to charge it. But overall I still recommend this controller.

Recently got this controller to start playing CoD Mobile with a friend. Though it isn't supported in CoD Mobile, I am able to use an app for Android called Mantis Gamepad Pro. Works again in-game and is super fun to use. Also, double as a controller for your computer. One tip is if it doesn't detect on your computer right away, hold the start and select buttons for several seconds (I forget the exact amount of time), and it will detect. Highly recommend it on sale or at full price. Definitely worth it.

Works well. Very easy for gaming on the go. I like how the buttons can be reprogrammed. The battery works for a long time, it comes with cords to connect to phone in case you don't want to use Bluetooth & it can charge your phone as you play. Highly recommended if you have time to game while not at home.

All in all, it's a bluetooth controller that's compatible with most mobile games and emulators. The "extra" buttons are actually alternatives that you can program instead of other buttons. Probably most likely the bumpers, which is a bit of a rip. Surprisingly light weight and the battery life lasts for days if you only play casually. The fact you can't use it on all emulators is also a problem but 8/10.

Great product very handy and easy to adjust. Be forewarned you can only play Xbox game pass and some of the games on your phone. However it does not work on the iPhone.

I've been experimenting with various mobile gaming controllers, ( Razer Kishi 2, SteelSeries Stratus duo) and now this one. For some reason I am doing whatever I can to spend extra money and not find a controller to play CODM.

This controller works perfectly with my andriod mobile phone. Nessisary for gamers needed an edge over using games that require advance control in action games. Long battery life when used only as a controller, decent battery life when used to also feed power to your device while controlling game. Comfortable grip for extended playtime.

You get used to the weight of the controller holding the phone. But you can adjust the position of the phone to what works best for you. Connection to the phone was quick and easy. Buttons feel different then then regular xbox controllers but its still smooth and easy to use,

the item is priced right and it offers some form of functionality! For me, it didn't work! You have to have a certain type of game to use it. It does not work on all games in the app store. For example, if I tried to play crash band cart and the controller did not work. So be mindful of what you really need it for and if it integrates with your platform.

This controller is very nice. I like that it has a powerbank but the battery life really isn't as great as it could be. It should probably be a little more compatible with things but overall it works for what I got it for... Steam, Xbox PC, Battle.net, and a lot more on linux.

The idea is great. when it works it's awesome to be able to play away from my home and my system and I'm a everyday gamer but it just has too many problems. First it doesn't matter if I'm on Wi-Fi or on my cell service which is 5G by the way. if it doesn't work on 5G it's not going to work at all so when I use the system i get network issues at least 50% or more every time I use it. The little bracket that is used to hold the phone to the controller does not have the ability to hold a phone with a larger screen like an XL version of any phone the plastic grip wheels were made too cheaply don't expect to be able to use that unless you have a smaller phone. if you hold it in your hands I feel like you would understand that the product just feels cheap like if I were to squeeze hard enough I could break it so overall it left me feeling like it should be priced cheaper for what you get.
