Customers highly value the build quality, RGB lighting, and programmable back buttons of the Spectra Enhanced Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S. Many appreciate the long cable and customizable color options, finding the controller comfortable to hold and enjoyable to use. However, some customers reported issues with stick drift and trigger malfunctions after relatively short periods of use. These issues detract from the otherwise positive user experience.

REVIEW POWERA - SPECTRA ENHANCED WIRED CONTROLLER FOR XBOX SERIES X|S - SPECTRA INFINITY

POWER-A SPECTRA IS A GOOD XBOX CONTROLLER
SUMMARY:
As far as affordable controllers with lots of bling, the SPECTRA ENHANCED WIRED CONTROLLER is a perfectly fine controller. For a lot less than an XBOX wireless controller there is a lot the like. Simply plug and play and you are off and running. You can activate the LED’s by pressing the LED button on the back and if you press and hold it for a few seconds then you can also play with colors and effects.
I also want to note that it also works perfectly fine on my XBOX One and PC as well and it is the exact same size as my Xbox Controller.
It is nice that you can control the effects directly from the controller without extra software to load. There is a super long cord that allows you to sit back about 8 feet from you console. If that is not enough, then you can use a standard USB extender cord.
The mute and volume controls on the controller are very convenient. I like that you can control the sensitivity of the triggers and even remap buttons if you want to.
Overall, it is a decent controller.
Some very picky issues on my side, and I have to say up front I’m picky about my gaming gear.
The controller (black) shows prints and smudges easily.
I found the buttons not as satisfying as the official Xbox controllers. Less resistance on all the buttons. The left stick for example was very “clicky” and my thumb kept slipping off the stick, which is not an issue I’ve ever had with Xbox Controllers. I have a game for example that just uses the left and right sticks for controls and I had a hard time with precise control.
Because I change around a lot between PC/Xbox/PS/SWITCH, I sometimes need reminders about the button labels (YXAB). Even when lighted, the buttons are muted (the letters themselves are not backlit, just the rings around them. So the YXAB don’t really pop in the dark.
The lights (as you can see even in the official pictures) have lots of bleed through to the next zone, which to me, ruin the LED lighting effect. There are 3 light zones you can control and if you choose different colors for each zone, they all sort of bleed into each other. Instead a crisp modern “Tron-Like” color trim, it is just sort of sloppy looking. (unless, you have all the colors the same). If you are going to have 3 light zones, then they should be isolated from each other. Otherwise, just keep one color for everything.
I’m also a very tiny bit bugged by the lack of USB-C where the cable plugs into the controller. I get that most XBOX controllers that are wired use Micro USB, but this is 2021 after all. Chances are you will only plug it in one time then never unplug it.
SUMMARY
I think the SPECTRA ENHANCED WIRED CONTROLLER is perfectly fine, and worthy of a test for you and your gaming rig or console. The lights can be fun but the bleed through of lighting zones ruins the effect for me.

An OK controller for PC/XBOX

This is a fun little controller if you're in the market for a new one. The price point is just a bit under a normal XBOX controller however this one has some additional benefits.
Most notably, the RGB lights on this are pretty cool. You get three zones of RGB lighting. The "top" is the left joystick and button. the "middle" are the D-Pad and right joystick and then there is the perimeter of the controller. I'm using this on my PC at the moment and setting up the lights is a bit different for me. Normally, anything RGB related has some software that controls it. This being an XBOX controller, you have to manually change the RGB lighting by pushing the LED button on the bottom of the controller and then using the D-PAD and buttons to cycle through the different zones and color schemes. There is also an option to have the lights solid or "breathing" which I thought was kind of cool.
There is also trigger adjustment switches on the bottom of the controller. There are three positions to the switch and this basically limits how far the button travels when you push it. Kind of cool however one small limitation with this. For FPS games, this is a really nice adjustment you can make however, for driving games or any game where the trigger pressure is used, this feature is useless. For example, in GTA V, if you have the switch set to short, if you're driving a car, you won't be able to speed up since the trigger pressure has been limited by this switch. The switch is useful for some games but worthless for others.
Comfort-wise, it's a very nice feeling controller. There are two programmable buttons on the bottom that line up perfectly with my middle finger placement on the controller. The joysticks have a knurled texture to them which makes them a bit more tactile which is great also. The included cable is more than long enough for most people and it has a quick detach on it as well.
Overall, this is a nifty controller if you're in the market for a new one or a replacement. While it's not a full fledged gaming controller like some other manufacturers have, this is certainly a nice controller none the less.

OKAY lets be honest. We all have broken controllers that sit in the box or go right to the trash. No refund no refurbishing. Despite this being a wired controller, this is the best. I have little input lag, no sticky buttons/joysticks/triggers. The lightup is cool and customizable to the edging. In other revies I can say I'd pick this little $30 controller over an elite controller everytime.

So far I'm pretty happy with this controller after unboxing, I still have to figure out how everything works, but definitely no complaints. I'll come back to update this after using it for a few weeks and then again in a month or so. But again I'd say first impressions were great, i love what it's able to do, i just have to figure out how to program and use it

Got this for my son. He had to have a controller with rgb. This has it. And back buttons. And it’s decently priced. And…it’s wired. No more money buying batteries. Hahaha. We both won.

I love this controller, it even has the extra 2 bindable buttons on the back that go under your middle fingers. I bound them to be the 2 different stick pushes which saves my fingers lots of pain! The RGB is also a nice touch too! It has 3 different layers with around 10 different colors. I've dropped it a couple of times and now the stick was really stiff so I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and now it's too sensitive. Hopefully, Geek Squad will have my back!

This gaming pad is fairly cheap for what it is. It comes with a high quality connection cord to have it wired to either a Xbox or PC. I bought it for my PC and it works wonders. Two easily programmable buttons on the back that come in handy for FPS games (drop shot, jump shot). Customizable LEDs that give it a awesome look. No input lag or anything of that nature. My only complaint is eventually if you play a lot for example I play call of duty, I end up using the x button alot. The buttons you constantly mash will eventually start working less. So this controller if you are a heavy gamer may only last 6 months or so. Casual gamers it's worth the 40 because it will last y'all for a long time.

I have 4 kids so expensive controllers are a no go nowadays so I tend to go with PowerA or PDP products ! They work well and always seem to last about as long as the name brand tbh. Sometimes the dreaded stick drift will occur faster than my name brands did but at half cost or less I will take that risk.

For the price of this controller you get light rgb lights and back buttons that sort-of feel like paddles. It also has switches for trigger stoppers that work great when playing more competitive. This is worth the buy.

It's a good controller for a decent price, the extra back buttons are good but I really like the level swith for the triggers and that you can replace the cord if need be.
