Since we have owned our PS4 since it originally came out the original cables have been misplaced long ago. I bought this cable and the controllers synced right up the first time and have not had any issues since. The longer length is a bonus.

The 6.5 ft cable becomes useful when the controller needs to be charged while playing your favorite game and you don’t have to be close to the TV. It does the job and keeping it in case I need to pair new controllers or simply charge the controller while playing my favorite games comfortably.

I know with my PS3 I sometimes would forget to plug in my controller and when I go to play I'd have to use the longer cable to charge/use the controller at the same time. This has been the case a few times with my PS4. Not that the controller doesn't hold a charge for long, just sometimes I forget to charge it and I only have one. So I can't charge one while using the other. This takes away that problem and lets me get in some play time without having to wait for the controller to charge.
