Gorgeous game, fun to play.

I will start off by saying that this game is absolutely gorgeous. It is one of the best looking games I have seen on current consoles (PS4/XboxOne) thus far.
The game play is vastly similar to the previous two games, so if you were a fan of those games, you will enjoy this one. For anyone who hasn't played a game from the series yet, the game is an open world adventure where you complete both main story missions, and side story missions to progress through the game.
The combat system is largely unchanged from the previous games, but those who haven't played the games before, it places heavy rewards on the proper timing of strikes and counters as you beat up waves of enemies. The combat is one of the most gratifying parts of the game in my opinion, and you really enjoy the challenge of taking on tremendous amounts of enemies at once when you get the hang of the combat system.
The batmobile is one of the most notable new additions, and I have seen a lot of reviewers saying that they don't like it. I can understand where they are coming from, but although I don't really think it was a necessary addition to the game, they did at least try to incorporate the new abilities tied to the batmobile into the game in thoughtful ways.
Part of the reason that I think the batmobile isn't as enjoyable for some gamers is because using your grappling hook to shoot into the air, and then gliding around the city with your cape is one of the highlights of the game.
Overall I certainly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the series, or enjoys open world games. Rocksteady (the developer) has done a phenomenal job crafting a game that makes you feel like you truly are batman. Between the combat, the super-cool detective mode to look for clues, and all of the gadgets at your disposal, you really don't ever get the feeling that there is something missing from the experience.

Good Conclusion to the Arkham Trilogy

Overall, this is a satisfying end to Rocksteady's Batman Arkham games. The combat is fun, as usual, the graphics are great, and the story is on point. If you liked the previous Arkham games, then you will like this one as well.
However, I do have one huge complaint about the game. The biggest offender is the batmobile, which I feel was shoved down our throats. I was getting ready for an epic boss fight, only to find out it was just another batmobile tank battle. It was quite disappointing. For that reason, I have to give the game a 4/5 instead of a 5/5.

Although not the best in the series, it is still an amazing game and a must play for any fans of the Arkham series. The batmobile game play is really cool but at times troublesome since it's forced on you. The lack of boss fights also held it back from being the best game in the series. But the story and overall game play is still some of the best out there. Highly recommend it!

I've played 2 other Arkham games, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City both on PS3. I'm ignoring Arkham Origins since a different studio worked on the title and it doesn't fit nicely into the trilogy. I can say this game took everything good from before and expanded upon it. The voice acting is superb with all my favorites back from the previous games. The city is MASSIVE and a ton of fun to explore either in the batmobile or by gliding from rooftop to rooftop. I can't say much about the story to keep from giving away spoilers but I'll say I've been hooked from the very beginning. For me a good game is all about the single-player story and experience, and this has delivered hours and hours of entertainment. The learning curve is nicely graded with enough challenge that I've had to redo parts in order to move forward, but not so difficult that I've wanted to smash the controller into tiny pieces.
The missions are diverse and exciting, and I love the open world feel of Gotham that allows you to progress at your own pace (mostly) and take on the missions you want. It's such an immersive environment I really applaud all of the developers, programmers, artists, designers, etc. who worked so hard on every single detail. I'm about 90% done with the game and I already know I'll be back for more when I've finished it.

Like most console gamers, I have greatly enjoyed the "Arkham" Trilogy by Rocksteady Studios, I say that because I did not complete Arkham Origins (Dev by Warner Bros.), however I did beat that now infamouse Deathstrokeboss fight but after that the game felt very recylced and I told my self I would for next-gen Arkham installment by Rocksteady.
Just let me say, it was def worth the wait! Arkham Knight is a fitting finale for Rocksteady and I couldnt be happier playing it on the PS4. The game looks polished and plays very smoothly. It is the same Arkham formula however they changed just enough to make it feel like a whole new experience. The inclusion of the Batmobile has generally been positive however there are parts the game where it feels forced, echoed by gamers alike. Also the droid tank battle seem a bit out of place. Nothing feels more satisfying then launching out of the Batmobile, gliding, then entering the Batmobile all in one motion!
The game also game with tons of FREE DLC. The Harley Quinn Story, Wayne Tech Upgrades, New 52 Skins, Classic Skins, and the Sony PS4 Exclusive Scarecrow missions.
Props to Rocksteady Studios, DC Comics and Warner Bros. for putting out a classic! Get this game now!!!

A must own for all batman fans. Controls are excellent and fluid in combat, predator mode, and batmobile modes. The only possible negative is you may or may not enjoy the tank combat as you are buying a batman game to feel like batman, not play world of tanks. Personally I enjoy it. Great addition to the current gen library

Graphics, FPS, and no load times during gameplay!! This game has it all good controls, great voice acting, good story, and to top it all off it probably has the best graphics I've ever seen in a game. The detail and smoothness of the game really sets a high bar for other developers. This game is awesome

This was perhaps the best of the recent Batman series games. I particularly enjoyed how the game made me emotional at times for the characters. Being able to travel the large city with the Batmobile is also quite appealing. The only part of the game that I didn't find quite as simple as some of the other games was the riddler trophys and what not, they seemed a tad more difficult so that getting 100% completion to me didn't feel quite as easy. Of course, the game is meant to be challenging so I think that speaks more of my laziness. Still, overall the game quality was fantastic, the fighting and addition of the fear multi takedown was amazing, the increased use of items like the disrupter was certainly welcome, being able to utilize a variety of characters in combat was great, plus solving the mystery of who the arkham knight is was quite exciting. Overall the game is great, and definitely leaves room for some follow up which left me intrigued and excited.

The graphics play well on the PS4 system but the combo sets get very redundant, especially early in the game. The amount of different controller combinations lead to difficulty in operating the character exactly how you want. The lack of clues in missions create difficulty in completing objectives. Batman is famous for his gadgets, but they were never intended to be so difficult to activate.

An excellent Batman experience, with some flaws

Arkham Knight is an immense game with lots of things to do. Most of the side quests are rather engaging, though there are a number of simplistic ones that do get repetitive over time. The gameplay is fluid and the fighting mechanics have never felt better. The story gets quite a bit darker in this game than the previous Arkham titles, as befitting what is to be the final chapter in Rocksteady's trilogy of Batman games. Still, there are little touches throughout the game that bring a smile to my face, such as movie posters which refer back to an episode of the Animated Series and even a couple of unexpected jump scares that just keep things interesting.
The biggest flaw is, sadly, the Batmobile. While it can be fun driving through Gotham in your super duper tank, it is still faster to travel across town using your grapple and gliding. Additionally, many of the puzzles or missions require the use of the Batmobile, making it feel like the developers are forcing you to use it just so it will feature more prominently rather than it just being another tool in Batman's toolbox.
That said, however, Arkham Knight is still an excellent game and one that has kept me up late playing it, just trying to get one more Riddler trophy, rescue one more fireman, do one more mission, hey, how'd it get to be 1 AM?

Arkham Knight provides a great ending to Rocksteady's Arkham series. It builds on the major successes of the previous entries while introducing some exciting new gameplay elements (i.e. Batmobile and Combat Switching). The story maintains the same quality we've come to expect from this developer and allows players to feel right at the center of the action in Gotham.

The final game in the Arkham series was the best. Amazing graphics. A storyline worthy of Batman TAS. The Batmobile is a powerful yet maneuverable tank. It's like you get to play the mobile from the Chris Nolan movies. Get this game!!

Arkham knight still uses the same general gameplay as Arkham city and that still feels great. I enjoyed the story and and most side missions. My biggest complaint were the batmobile races and tank mode but they aren't completely terrible. Just could've gone without them. Still highly recommend to batman fans and anyone who liked the previous games.

Arkham Knight is without a doubt the best in the arkham franchise. Continuing from where arkham city left off this is certainly the darkest and most mature of all the games. The free flow combat is back and even deeper this time with new gadgets and special finishers you can perform. The biggest addition to Arkham Knight would have to be the ability to finally use the batmobile, which is not only used for missions and challenges but can be incorporated into the combat as well. The story is quite good and there are plenty of twists and turns along the way. With the amount of content in this game it's quite the steal. Overall I would say if you enjoyed any of the other games this should be a no brainer. I'd highly recommended this to anyone who enjoys good story along with solid gameplay.

The Ultimate Batman Simulator

Batman: Arkham Knight is the explosive conclusion (supposedly) to Rocksteady's Batman trilogy, and with the addition of the Batmobile it's the Batman simulator you have always dreamed of, as well.
This game has unbelievable graphical fidelity and production values, featuring some of the best visuals I've ever seen on a console or elsewhere. My only minor complaints are that while the Batmobile can be very fun to drive once you get used to it, sometimes it may feel like there's a bit too much of it. But without it, the game would have felt too similar to the previous ones, so it was necessary and can still be a lot of fun too. Would have also preferred better/more boss battles, but overall it's an excellent experience that anyone who loves Batman or the previous games will also love.

I played and finished Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and even Arkham Origins. This is the best one. Big open world game with plenty of side quests. Like the other games Batman games, it can get a bit repetitive. Fighting crime does make you feel that way though, but it does give a bit more side stories/quests. Speaking of story, I thought it had a nice flow to it. It may be a little more dark than the other Batman games. The big change on this is the Batmobile which I thought worked flawlessly. I didn't notice any glitch while using it. However, I can say they may put in too much of it. What I mean by that is you rely on it heavily at certain points of the game such as the side quests. It is a fun new toy to have and we all love new toys and what to play with it as much as possible, but I thought they could've put less of it in the game. The combat system in this game is just like the previous Batman games, but with a lot more extra moves and gadgets. All this may seem overwhelming if you haven't play the past Batman games and may take some time getting used to. Don't let it intimidate you as there are challenge spots around the game where you can practice the free flow combat system.

The game is beautiful and ran with no issues. If you've played the previous Arkham games you'll enjoy this one as well. Equipping new gadgets, unlocking new abilities and using both feel just as great. Combat and puzzle solving are just as good as they've always been. My only gripe is the excessive and sometimes forced use of the batmobile. There are times when it can be great racing throgh the city then ejecting out to glide over the city or to take on a group of thugs. Batmobile assisted take downs and puzzle solving can also be great. What's not great? Constant tank battles, and boss battles against some of the best DC fighters being relegated to batmobile battles. Seriously?!! I didn't hate the batmobile, I just wished the decision to use it or not was more in my control and not constantly feeling like it was being forced on me. Playing as Batman, one of the things I love most is launching up high and gliding over the city and while on the ground using his skills and gadgets to take down a foe. A little less batmobile would have made this game amazing, instead of just great.
