What happened to gaming?!

The matchmaking is broken beyond belief. It takes 10 minutes to find a game if you're lucky. When you do find a game, prepare for disconnects, unbalanced teams, lag, crashes, etc. Just look up the Halo sub Reddit to see the numerous problems the game is suffering from. Whatever happened to buying a game, putting it in your console, and playing it. Now, you buy the game and have to wait another week or longer for all the issues to be fixed. I think I've managed to play three semi-decent matches so far. All the rest of the few I've actually made it into have been plagued with problems. I understand that this game is huge. I'm sure it requires a ton of work from hardworking, talented programers, but if it wasn't ready, it shouldn't have been released yet. Once everything works as advertised, the game is easily five out of five but not right now.
