Customers appreciate the updated graphics and the improving online multiplayer. Many enjoy the amount of content, including multiple campaigns and creative stories, especially considering the price. However, some customers have noted issues with online play, bugs, lag, and the large download size. Overall, the collection seems to be well-received despite these drawbacks.

Let me start by saying I do not usually like or play First Person Shooters. But Halo is the rare exception. By combining tight gameplay with a great story, Halo managed to get past my FPS barrier. I beat Halo back on the original Xbox but missed out on the rest of the series since then. Being able to get the first 4 games all on one disc for a very reasonable price was too good to pass up.

Halo is back and better than ever in 343 industries latest entry into the Halo Saga. Packed with 4 games for the price of $59.99 this is a MUST own for Halo fans. The newly remastered Halo 2 Anniversary shows the RAW power of software developmental skills the team at 343i have. Must OWN for XB1 owners. Has some online woes but nothing to cut the fun down when there are 4 games worth of campaigns to play.

If you are a fan of any of the halo games or love playing FPS then this collection is worth your money. This has Halo 1-4 along with access to the Nightfall live action series and Halo 5 multiplayer beta. This is all for $60. That is a great deal. And you can switch between the orignal graphics and the new ones for Halo 1 and 2. This is a great buy and worth it.

Wherever you started your journey with Halo shouldn’t matter when considering this game. This is a MUST for anyone who is a fan of Halo. It includes remastered versions of Halo 1 and 2 (which also allows you to switch to original version which is cool to compare) as well as Halo 3 and 4. Multiplayer is really fun and easy to configure so you only play the games/styles you want. I owned Halo 1 + 2 on the original Xbox when it first came out and because of that became a huge fan of the Halo series. Since buying an Xbox One S due to the pandemic, as soon as I saw this game I had to have it. Literally saw someone’s review saying “you’re probably going to buy this” and was like “yeah he’s right”. Also note, a lot of people had issues with the multiplayer when it first came out but it looks like 343i has done a good job correcting any issues/providing updates. 5/5 absolutely recommended!

You get 4 full campaigns with a full overhall of Halo 2 cutscenes included. All of them run at 1080p 60 fps and the game even has a button to switch from original graphics to the remastered versions. It's incredible. On top of that, it has multiplayer including maps and gamemodes from all the games. This game has a ton of great content.

It’s got all the classic games looking better than ever, and they run super smooth on both Xbox One and Series X. Playing through these iconic campaigns again with updated graphics is such a blast. The multiplayer is just as fun and addictive as you remember. Totally worth it!

This is exactly what it says it is, Halos 1 through 4, but revamped to look like new Xbox One games. The physics are still all the same as they used to be which is nice. The multi-player has an extremely large number of maps to play. Just be ready for a long download prior to playing the game for the first time.

    My Childhood on One Disk

This is an incredible release that I have been waiting many years to buy. I probably spent 50% of my childhood playing Halo games with my friends. This title includes every Halo you need on one disk, and that is great. One small feature that makes it even more nostalgic is the fact that you can press a single button at any time during the story to change from the new graphics to the original. This really takes you back, and shows you how far Halo games have come since Combat Evolved. Unfortunately I have lost interest because the servers were terrible for the first couple weeks after its launch. From the few online multi-player matches I played, it seemed great. When playing online, they combine maps from every game in the series for the playlists, so during one match you could be on a CE map, and the next you might be playing on a Halo 4 map. Overall, this title is definitely worth the money, even just to play through the amazing story. Online multiplayer is fantastic when it works right, although the multiplayer server problem may be fixed already.

This game is great. So much content. Even if you have played this game before, the graphics are just so much more enhanced. Yes, there is some match making issues but 343 is taking care of that and I still have high hopes for that. But the first player tells a really great story. This is the game to buy.

This game was what I wanted to get for a long time. Recently there were no other stores where this item was avaliable. I am very happy to get this item through 'Bestbuy' and its condition was wonderful and sealed well. The staff in the store was very kind and guided me to the customer service booth. It was very east and convenient to pick it up just by showing the barcode. I will use 'Bestbuy' to purchase more video games. Also I Strongly recommend this to other people.

The remastered versions of the old games are great. They look great in high def and 60 frames per second. Multiplayer was broken at first with matchmaking taking a very long time but recent patches have made this much better. This game is everything you think it should be, so much content and looks amazing.

The Master Chief Collection brings together the best games in the Halo series (Halo 1-4) along with all of their multiplayer maps and a ton of other content. For $60, this is an absolute bargain and something that is sure you keep you occupied for hundreds (thousands?) of hours.

For what you get it is a real bargain. Obviously, everyone knows there have been issues with multiplayer, but the campaigns alone are worth it. The remastered 2 looks amazing. Halo 5 Multiplayer beta is awesome. And I'm sure they'll get all of the matchmaking kinks worked out.

This is the best video game I've EVER played!! I don't like some of the swear words since my 9 year old son plays it, but this game is SO good. It has an excellent story line and the campaigns are brilliant! I played Halo (the original) 3 hours a night for weeks. I never bought Halo 2, 3, or 4 when they came out, so I didn't know their story lines. Bungee did a great job to introduce new "players" and situations and have kept it fresh all the way through the middle of Halo 4 (haven't finished 4 or done 5 yet). This was the main reason I bought the original XBox and one of the big reasons I got the XBox One. This is hands down the best game(s) I've ever played. My 9 year old son loves it as much as I do. Truly, if you get one video game this year, get Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Not only is it the best ever, but you get 5 for the price of one.

As the title suggests, this physical copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection only includes the 4 initial titles in the mainline Halo franchise. ODST and Reach can be purchased for $5 and $10, respectively from the digital Microsoft Store on your Xbox One or Xbox Series S/X. The storytelling in 1 and 2 are perfection in my eyes. 3, while not as good, more than makes up for it through grand set pieces and emotional payoffs. 4, while being the weakest in the saga thus far (until 5), also manages to pull off twists and turns you might not see coming. Oh, and it goes without saying that the multiplayer is good too. Highly recommended.

The servers aren't working right now but I'm writing this assuming they will eventually work and allow matchmaking... Who can't like Halo's 1-4 in one game!? So great! Can't wait to get in and play classic Halo games with a new excited community and on a new system. Classic Halo's (1-3) do feel a bit odd and overly "smooth" on the Xbox One but I'm sure that's just taking an old game onto new technology. The reason I'm giving a 4/5 is because the matchmaking playlists were not what i expected and are disappointing. Instead of being able to play multiple playlists for each game, the games are playlists themselves. For instance, my friend and I loved playing doubles in Halo 3. Well now, Halo 3 is a playlist of its own and no Doubles playlist exists. Maybe 343 will add some later but its doubtful. The current server issues are extremely frustrating. Maybe wait to buy it until they figure that out. Ranking is only unlocked on one playlist as well. Will be an amazing game in a week or so.

never played the campaign, personally never owned and only played online matches on friends copies of the game, till i got this game. i was interested in the halo story and this game was cheap (about $24 at the time of purchase). in case you dont read the product description, it comes with a remastered halo (1 & 2), halo 3 (and odst), plus halo 4. whether for nostalgia or you want to bolster your game collection, id go for it. my only issue is the jacked up achievements. you dont always get achievements when you should, sometimes you have to redo something to earn one and that doesnt always work. hence the 4 stars. i should also mention, at the time of this review, i havent tried online play, i cannot comment on whether or not the match making is fixed.

The first four Halo games, remastered in 1080p 60fps (or higher depending on which Xbox console you play this on), is truly one of gaming's greatest series. You get a free upgrade for Halo 3 ODST, and Halo Reach is also obtainable through this game. Each game's multiplayer modes, maps, and perks exist in this game, and allow you to cross with other modes. Hoping cross-platform play with PC releases soon, as I prefer playing on my gaming computer. Each game's campaign is well worth your time, if you don't like to play competitive, multiplayer FPS games.

Like the orange box in the mid 00's, the MCC offers a great deal of value. Over a hundred multiplayer maps (several from the PC versions), the campaigns from 4 Halo games. Blur studios complete remastering of the Halo 2 cutscenes is nothing short of stunning. H1 &H2 are cinematic smooth in their gameplay. "I can't believe it's not butter!" comes to mind. All is not perfect though, there are some lighting issues across H1 & H2 where areas are extremely dark. More noticable it appears that with the increase to 60fps, like the Perfect Dark remake, enemy units will fire faster (like solid streams) and move quicker than before. Overall the issues are things that can be patched, and it is a great way to get into Halo for the first time, or if you want to get back into your armor to shake the rust off. Suit up.. again, with the Master Chief Collection.
