I bought this for my 6 year old. I was not sure if he would be able to play, but he has taken to it like a duck in water. He was able to pick it up no problem and absolutely loves it.

This is a game he wanted for Christmas and it has great graphics and is super fun. He loves building and this is great for him. He is pleased therefor I am pleased :)

mY kids love this, downloaded and played from day one. The ability to play split side by side is awesome, no fighting for whos turn it is. I also purchase a couple packs, a skin pack for my son who wanted to be a squid and the candy texture pack for my daughter who loves pink. This is how games should be, low cost, download, buy extras for $1 or $2. Rather than $90 and $30 DLC items. Im sure if this game was $80 I still would have purchased it, but its worthy of a 10 score for value, playability, replayability and minecraft awesomeness.

This game my son Colton (7 almost 8) actually paid for himself! Both him and my daughter Victoria (10) really enjoy; they already had Minecraft for both the PS3 and PS4. However, they seem to like the Xbox One version the best, it isn't just because of the DLC (which is nice esp since it's built-in). I don't see much difference between the consoles on this particular game; my kids enjoy playing it on Xbox Live with their friends. This is probably the single biggest factor my children prefer the Xbox version of Minecraft.

My children liked it because there were 7 texture packs, and the game itself is fun to play. The new polar bear and mobs are cool!

After having purchased this, I have decided that I should have bought the version without the "Favorites pack". To me it is not worth the extra $10. Love the game, just not the extras...

My kids can play this game for days and never get sick of it. Also cool packs and skins and if it broke I would buy it again

I play this with my son. Recently we had issues with our PS4 & had to switch to the Xbox version. I don’t notice a difference, but my 10 year old is excited for the earlier updates

While Minecraft did take some getting used to, the game has turned out to be a lot of fun for the whole family. I learned pretty much everything I needed to know from the in-game tutorial world and then branched off to make my own world with my family. We have a blast together every time we turn the game on. For those who say it looks like a cheap game because of the graphics, the graphics may be low resolution but truly, this game is amazing once you get into it. The physics for the most part are spot on, you can use it to teach several different math and science concepts and the kids don't even know that you're doing it! (Check out Pinterest or YouTube for ideas, if you're interested.) And even if you just want to build a sprawling castle/mansion and a village to surround it, you can do that too! TL:DR (Long Story, Short): I would recommend this to kids and parents alike.

For what it is, it's great. I bought it for my young daughter because she showed an interest in it. I never understood the draw of it. The graphics are worse than my Commodore 64 from 1987. I don't see what people see in this game, but it's quite popular. So, for what it is it's well done. My opinion is that it's pixelated garbage and a total waste of time. For $20.... whatever.
