M girlfriend plays all the time. keeps her happy since only new game she can play without having to use the analog sticks

i am,and always will be a MK fan,and am pleased to say that this one was so far the best in the series.everything from the roster,graphics,gameplay,and story was so well put together.no true MK fan could be disappointed!!.definitely one of the best and most fun providing fighters of the current gen..

Bought for 2 boys, both enjoyed it very much. Bought used, no problems with quality, just like new. Will buy used games from best buy again.

Not with the money better to skip this one and get MKX. The combos system is choppy.

Mortal Kombat has returned to it's former glory, after many not that great installments on PS2. MK has a fairly large roster, including Kratos for the PS3 version. It actually reminds me a lot of Mortal Kombat 2, the 3-D gameplay has been removed, which is a bonus to me. The 3-D gameplay always bothered me. Now it's back and forth, up ad down, like the classic games. Story mode can go on for awhile, and it gets pretty interesting. Tower mode is pretty entertaining as well. I believe it's 150 levels of fights, each one has a different stipulation to it. Some are goofy, some are incredibly challenging. Krypt mode returned with this installment, which comes with unlockables such as concept art, character costumes, fatalities, etc. If you are a fan of Mortal Kombat, especially the classic versions, you will NOT be disappointed by this. Price is low enough now that there is no reason not to pick it up. Oh btw, NOT FOR KIDS!. or maybe you're cooler parents than mine were when i was a kid haha.

This is my favorite of all the Mortal Kombat games that have been released as of the date of this writing (last entry was MKX). Though there is a new one released already with MKX. The game itself as is already known is basically a reboot of the timeline that ended with Mortal Kombat Armageddon and brought us back to the way it should be ie 2D fighting plane instead of 3D. The story itself was surprisingly pretty good considering the games history and the usual lack of importance of story within fighting games and to the overall fighting game community. The only negative I have to say is the beginning of the inclusion of movie character DLC that is a downside but there far worse things. I cannot comment on the online portion either since I never used it.
