As the review title suggests, it's a multiplayer shooter in Star Wars surroundings. You can do online multiplayer or complete missions alone or with friends (online) though there is no single-player campaign/storyline. You're kind of just dropped in Star Wars battles. That said, they are fun, and if you ever wanted to pretend to be a Rebel soldier or Stormtrooper in the middle of a large-scale fight, this would be a way to experience it. There are power-ups on the battlefield that allow you to turn into one of the main characters and use their special powers/abilities to fight, and you can take control of ships/walkers/speeders as well. There are various maps and modes to choose from.

There is no campaign, which is disappointing, the map packs are overpriced and the EA servers are hit or miss. Even with this the graphics are great and the on-line play is a blast to play.

But it's a great game! I never really got into the original Battlefront games, so I don't have that experience to compare this game to. With that said, it's a well polished game that plays a lot like Battlefield. Vehicles aren't always there like the Battlefield games, instead they're tokens that spawn randomly throughout the map. The same goes with the heroes. It's a little light on content, but EA stated they'll be adding free DLC here and there, as well as the inevitable season pass, to fill that void. It's not worth the full price yet, but get it from here on sale with stacked GCU and you'll feel you definitely got your money's worth.

This game by far to me in my opinion is been the best, sadly it has no campaign. The multiplayer is filled with multiple options of game styles to play. The sound effects, the voices, and detail are to the point from the movies we loved and grew up with.

Many have issues with the game due to the lack of story, but the multiplayer aspect adds replay value. If you love teaming up with friends to take on the empire, this is an excellent buy. Graphics are superb and controls are pretty simple compared to your normal 1st/3rd person shooters. Gaining experience adds to the customization of your character with a variety of weapons, grenades and aesthetic items. Would recommend for a casual gamer who doesn't want to put in enormous amounts of grinding to keep up with others in the multiplayer circuit (i.e. destiny, World of Warcraft).

This game has a lot of potential. The graphics and audio are great. The gameplay is good and typical for a Battlefield game (not as a smooth as Destiny/Halo games). However, the actual content for the game is too light to justify the full price for this game. It seems like the game was rushed to be out before the Star Wars movie. To add insult to injury, the season pass is ridiculously priced at $50. $110 for a complete version of this game stinks of Trade Federation greed.

Great graphics and even better sound track. It is a type of game where you can pick up and play for an hour or two and not have to worry about leveling up in order to have a good time, however it can get boring not to long after that. One pet peeve is that the party function doesn't work as well as COD. For example, in COD you can start a party with several of your friends and then go into the game together and each of you will be distinguishable on the radar. In this game, you have to pick one partner , which kind of limits squad based play such as in COD or BF4.

This game looked too good to be true months ago, well....it was... Let me start with the good- Fun battles, iconic characters,plenty of game modes and a great time with friends...but.. The bad- the lack of many maps and some other unknown reason make Battlefront feel a bit "empty" The number of people playing has drastically dropped and having a high $ season pass hurts the game IMO as well. It's enjoyable, but I would say it's in the $30 pricd range.

I've read so many negative reviews about this game and how it doesn't really have a campaign mode for single players.....no story....just a massive online game. I was scared to purchase this game because of all of the reviews, so I waited until it was on sale to purchase it. And I have to admit, the reviews are right about the lack of campaign play, but there is tons of training type of games to get you prepared to kick butt in the multiplayer online games. And there are SO MANY. The graphics are great, the gameplay is AWESOME, and what I love is that for the last few months, EA just keeps giving us FREE UPDATES with new levels and game types, and I haven't even purchased a season pass. Basically, if you just want to have some good old fashioned star wars fun, this game is it!!

Visually, this game is amazing. Really solid graphics. Gameplay is smooth. Loved it for a few weeks. Loading screens can get a little long, even going between different menus takes a while. The overall scope of the game is limited. There are different game types, but very few maps. Gameplay is not even. Players who have played longer have a huge equipment advantage over those who are beginning. There are glitches in the maps which can be exploited. I still enjoys it, but I have to take more breaks from it to keep from getting bored.

Let's face it...it's Star Wars! Game play, graphics, weapons, power-ups, multiplayer (huge teams) are what makes this a must have game. Lots of maps and missions. Depending on the mission, the maps can be huge. First problem is the respawn points start you so far from the action you feel left out for a little bit. Maybe they'll iron that out in the future as a download. The only other issue I have is the cost of the season pass. Put it together and you're paying over a $100 easy. That being said, I enjoy all this game a lot.

Purchased for my xbox one console and really enjoy the game. Tons of game modes, vehicles, and weapons. Sound is incredible and the environments are extremely detailed and beautiful. Super engaging and a ton of fun.

As someone who burned out 2 original xboxs with the original Battlefront, I had high hopes for this game. The graphics are gorgeous, but there isn't a lot if content for the price. Buying the extended pack opens up more maps, but you have to wait for DLC to come out to get more. Spending $50 for a game is acceptable. Spending $100 for the overall package, to get what you should have gotten to begin with, not so much.

The new Star Wars: Battlefront is a great game and is very fun to play solo or with friends. There are many new game types to play and players can play with each other online or side by side with split screen. The graphics are absolutely stunning. The gameplay is exhilarating and makes the player truly feel as though they are resisting galactic tyranny or crushing rebel scum. The mechanics are new and different compared to the previous Battlefront. Players create unique load outs and purchase upgrades, weapons, and character customizations with credits they earn by playing the game. The game does not let you play split screen online, which would have been very fun. Also, there is no campaign to this game like the previous Battlefront. I really enjoyed playing through the campaign of the Battlefront II, and when I learned that this game was only online battles over objectives, or just killing each other, I was very disappointed. I miss playing those solo story missions, and with the new mechanics and graphics, I feel as though that would have been really fun and I'm missing out since it's not in this game. The split screen is also disappointing because all you can do is play hero battles or survival. Both of these are fun, but there could have been so much more. I would've loved to play the new fighter squadron gametype with friends on one console, but that is not the case. Other than the lack of what would've been many good features, the game is what it was created to be I guess, and I still enjoy playing it the way it is.

This is the best looking game I have ever played. Now i know that cant be the only positive but it does help when you are constantly wide-eyed by the set pieces around you. By far this is up there with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Halo 5 for best looking Xbox One games. This is also much more casual of an online multiplayer shooter then say COD or Halo, quick respawn helps that. All in all I do wish there was more maps and modes, customization is also quite limited, so 4 stars seems fair.

EA has done a great job putting together this game. If you're a veteran of the Battlefront series, you need to leave any expectations at the door. They will be blown away!! It's true; this game does not have a campaign mode. I was reluctant to purchase the game for this reason. However, it has plenty to offer the most die-hard FPS gamer. There are plenty of interesting game modes with sufficient variety. The visual details and sounds are amazing!! They've done a really good job of recreating iconic parts of the SW universe. Some of the maps seem a little small, while others are sufficiently large. I'm excited for the ways in which they could expand this game going forward.

Graphics are great, sound is amazing, wish there was a campaign mode, multiplayer is a solid 8/10, good purchase.

Star Wars Battlefront has everything a gamer and Star Wars fan would like initially. The graphical detail and sound design are all top-notch. The basic game however is very shallow in that there is no campaign and content will inevitably be split by expensive DLC. I bought this game for 8$ with my gamers club unlocked points but I wouldn't recommend it for full price.

If you are into star wars like I am then you won't be disappointed by the awesome graphics and how fluid it plays. Different modes will keep you entertained, this is essentially a battlefield game so the main focus is online play. That being said, sadly there isn't any single player campaign which for some people that would be a deal breaker. Overall this game is fun, just pair up with some of your friends and prepare for battle! see you out there!

Dice has shipped out an incredible, attention-to-detail product to compare to the Star Wars universe. The Audio is superb, sounds amazing on my home theater, and the visuals makes it seem like your in the movie. My only ding about it is that there is no campaign mode nor a more extensive multilayer modes. Some of them feel "cookie-cutter" with each other. Regardless, I love playing the game and will continue playing for a long time.
