It took me a while to find the Switch in stock but this game was worth the wait! Don't want to reveal too much of the game so I'll focus on game play on the switch. It looks amazing, if you are playing in public or out and about, make sure you have headphones or ear buds because the music and ambient sounds are brilliant too. I alternate between static and on the go play and it feels great whichever controls you use. Although the joycons are small, they aren't so small that it makes play difficult. I did grab the pro controller and that gives it a more static console feel but honestly, you don't "need" it. The game itself is immersive, you can choose to just burn time or move faster through the game. I love the freedom!

Now on release the switch does not have many games, but the ones they do have are a lot of fun. This Zelda game is far and away the only reason you need to buy the console. It's just amazing. The open world is so cool. The enimies are inventive and game play is awesome

This version of Zelda is the best yet, and I've been around for them all. The graphics aren't stellar compared to games on other systems, but with the Switch's limitations I think they are pretty great. Game play is good, even my 6 year old can play it as long as I read and give him hints as to where to go next. The puzzles are challenging but fun. The best part is you decide how much or little you play. I'm pretty positive you can beat the whole game in a matter of hours, but the world is open to explore and you could spend much more time exploring and discovering aspects that aren't vital to beating the game. I don't necessarily care for the food creation aspect of the game, but someone else might find it fun to discover foods by trying out combinations of found items. My son loves the customization feature and has already logged lots of time just changing Link's clothes and their colors. Overall a definite 10!

Gameplay and the story is largely engrossing. Hundreds of hours can be spent exploring the vast, open world map. Puzzles, world exploration, and side quest galore, and long re-play value. Time and money well spent.

Zelda BOTW is an absolutely amazing game that never ceases to be tons of fun to play. I have played for dozens of hours and feel like I have barely scratched the surface of this world. Highest recommendation.

Lots to explore. The open world is a very nice addition to the Zelda series, and there's tons to do. But even with all of the openness, it still feels like a classic Zelda game, with puzzles to solve, familiar enemies to fight, and many tools to gather.

A must have for both Zelda fans and adventure game fans alike. A departure from what has become some of the series staples, it offers a true open world where you can just explore and find new things all the time. Don't get a guide until you've done a little exploring.

Getting to explore an open world game is always good. Getting to explore the open world set in Hyrule from the Legend of Zelda... breathtaking. Nothing like hitting the roads as our favorite green clad hero for one more adventure.

This is the best Zelda game in the history of ever. Graphics are amazing, story is amazing, game play is amazing... Buy it now and you'll be immersed for a couple weeks. I woke up and Lebron was on the Lakers and Lance was his teammate. What the...?

First of all, let me clarify that when I say this isn't the best Zelda game, that doesn't really mean anything negative at all. In my opinion, I just always preferred the darker side of Zelda. Ocarina and Twilight Princess will be hard to beat...
Anyway...
BoTW if fantastic. It's colorful, beautiful and truly has a feeling of wonder. I haven't been able to put it down, I've sunk about 16 hours in and I've only beat the first dungeon...seriously. THATS how big this game is. There's a ton to do and, unlike some open woRld games, it never feels tiresome to want to do side quests and get better weapons, armor, etc.
If I had to nitpick...the voice acting is ATROCIOUS. I thought I would finally love to hear people talk after 30 years of Silent Zelda but...nope! Nintendo needs to hire quality people or just return Zelda to the Silent era.
Either way, BoTW if an amazing game and you should buy it immediately

I haven't played a Zelda game since the NES days and this game is the reason i bought a Switch. The combat is satisfying, the environments are beautiful and the world is open (like Skyrim Fallout etc).

OMGoodness! This game rocks! The graphics and story line are super. This doesn't feel like just another rendition of yet another Zelda...rather this is fresh and updated take on the classic. I love love love - oh yeah did I mention love - this newer version.

This installment of the Zelda series is breathtaking, to say the least. Expansive world, excellent graphics, and plenty to do! This game will have you hooked for hours. It's amazing how you can carry this world around with you on the Nintendo Switch!

Was a MUST have purchase when I bought the Switch. Didn't realize I was getting a Zelda game with a little Skyrim mixed in! Defeating enemies and collecting parts off them that go towards selling for rubies, weapon upgrades, or dying your armor...GENIUS! The main quest with numerous side quests make it feel open world go at your own pace. They kept the nostalgia in tact with sounds that bring you back to SNES days when opening chests, solving puzzles, or defeating enemies. Owning a house, taming horses that you'll own, customization of Link...what's not to love?
This game alone is reason enough to purchase a Switch to hold one over until Super Mario Kart, Super Mario Odyssey, and Skyrim come it for the Switch.

As the title says, this is one of the greatest games in the past decade. I was not a huge Legend of Zelda fan, but this game was absolutely phenomenal from the art to the story to the gameplay. This is a must have for anyone with a switch.

BotW is an amazing re-imagining of the Zelda franchise. This version of Hyrule is loaded with tons of things to do, but there are also wonderful moments of calm in between. Just pick a direction and go. You won't be disappointed.
