One of the best games of all time, and the absolute best game on the Switch. This game offers more freedom than most open world games. If you think you might be able to do something, you usually can. It’s a great adventure, and a lot of fun.

First Zelda game, I purchased it for my kid and can honestly say the horst gameplay is better than all those horse games on Switch... Some of the temples you need to go into required me to complete so the kids could move forward in the beginning but they are learning and doing alright for themselves now.

This game is a huge game from any other Zelda game. It's rich in content and in details of the mechanics of the game. It's a game for those who play the quest or, like my kids, fight monsters.

This is arguably the greatest game of this generation if not of all gaming history! I'm over 200 hours into the game and still finding so much content! Nintendo is once again setting the standard for quality and entertainment in the gaming world!

Just as the previous Legend of Zelda games, Breath of the Wild has a story line with tasks to complete. from side quests, to main story quests, puzzles, boss fights, etc. There is one huge difference, though. Breathe of the Wild does not expect you to do everything in a specific order. You are free to roam the map (which is HUGE) and find quests a part from the main story line. You can explore and complete tasks in different order and find your way in the game. It offers a very detailed environment with great graphics that include random animals, fireflies, goats, rain, thunderstorms, day, night, and many other things. It definitely takes a lot of patience to do many of the things that the game requires, hence my review title, but if you're into that and up for the challenge, then I for sure recommend it.

Not much to say that everybody else hasn't already said; it's expansive and atmospheric, and doesn't hold you by the hand like so many other open-world games do. For instance; sure you will climb a tower or two to get the lay of the land, but then instead of the game swarming you with interest points, it is up to you to decide what is interesting to look at and explore. And there is so much to explore. Enemies are threatening, the environments can be threatening, the Shrines, of which there are many, are entertaining, and I'm not even going to tell you about the Real Dungeons (tm) that you will run into. Just no. Go see them for yourself. A meandering review but I want to get back to it. But finally, the game has wild horses you can tame and feed apples to. Game of the Year already. This is a beautiful game, the presentation and open world are top notch. Most Zelda games are awesome but this is the best of the best. It seems the frame rate drops a bit as the switch seems to struggle at times but it does not ruin the experience.

Zelda is a great open world game that doesn't focus on just the main quest. Looks great in handheld but a lot of frame drops and stutters while docked.

So much to do, it's almost intimidating but I love it. One thing I don't like are the weapons and shields continuously breaking. I liked how in the older games you would find something special and it would last until the end of the game.

If you are into adventure, this is the game for you. My 12 year old son loves it. Graphics is amazing! Not very difficult to play but still challenges your mind. I used to play Zelda when I was younger and still enjoy playing the newest version.

This is an absolutely gorgeous and wonderful game to play! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants an open world adventure game. I've been a huge Zelda fan my whole life and this definitely delivers. (It may even one up Ocarina of Time slightly)

They went a different direction with this game. It’s a more open world / exploration themed Zelda, but it still managed to capture the magic of previous entries even without traditional dungeons. I’ve already put in over 40 hours into it.

Very in depth entertaining game that could be played multiple times and different situations can occur. Can’t wait for the dlc second story line. You could easily play 200 hours in the game of exploring and not advance in the story line.

Easily the best Zelda game from gameplay to story, with a solid +200 hours worth of content without DLC (if you don't rush to the end game boss). If you thought Wind Waker was a good game then Breath of the Wild is perfect for you.

If you love Zelda and Skyrim this game is for you, however, it has its quirks... I'm not a huge fan of the weapons constantly breaking, nor am I a fan of the numerous monsters that you really need to avoid in the early game. Once you get going and have some gear it makes life a bit easier but there's still plenty of times where you'll get your butt handed to you pretty easily. Once you have the master sword life is a bit better though.
