This game has got to be one of the best games I have played.

very good graphics, online play with others adds to the game

I just got into this at the beginning of September 2017 after a couple updates that I've read have greatly improved the game. I've been playing single player, hoping to build up my character enough to get into the multi-player section, but I don't care if I ever do! I love the missions, the leveling, the combat - everything. Manhattan looks SPECTACULAR on my PS4 Pro and 4K TV. The music is great as is the storyline as well as the little lore that can be gathered throughout to find out what happened to the city and the people who lived there. As someone who loves games like Skyrim, Fallout, etc. and Ghost Recon and Metal Gear Solid, this is an incredible middle ground between those that's highly engaging and addictive!

I like the open world layout and the fact you can play with your friends or pvp against others online, kinda like your typical hack & slash game where you go around grinding to lvl up your character but with guns instead

The modeling work done to get NYC to be realistic is superb

It's a good fun game that you can definitely play by yourself but in order to get the best out of the game you have to play with a group. If you play on your own you will have a tough time beating some of the levels.

Solo or with friends you will enjoy playing The Division.

So I'm not a huge gamer at all. I usually play with friends online or none at all. I saw that a bunch of my friends were going to get this game so I figured, "why not! We can play together!" Boy was I glad I got it. This game has me playing all hours of the night now. The graphics are amazing and the difficulty fluctuates depending on who is in your party. So the game never gets too easy for you. The targeting system is easy to use so whether you're a hardcore gamer or a novice like myself you'll be able to hit the bad guys. The only problem I would have with the game is the character customization which is very basic and the number of people allowed in a party. You're only allowed 4 so not all of my friends can play at the same time together.

I do have to say. If you love playing online with your friends, then this game is good for you. This game is all about survival and getting back new York from a disease that was spread out during the holidays.

...and the single-player story, while occasionally interesting, is mostly just a platform to get you into the PVP Dark Zone, which can be hellish if you don't have a team to back you up. Honestly, I really like the single player campaign. It's full of collectables and has an interesting skill progression system that is entirely dependent on completing missions and earning faction currency in the three main Division sub-sections (Medical, Tech, and Security). Most of the story is gleaned from these missions and the plethora of disjointed sources of evidence you can collect through encounters, pickups, and side missions. The lore of the world is top-notch... it's just sad that the endgame is repetitive and PVP dependent. Once you finish the main story, you're pretty much locked into diving into the Dark Zone for better gear and challenges... which is all well and good, but a very dangerous proposition. It takes hard work and luck to solo the DZ and is only recommended for the best players. Everyone else should bring or join a group... and pay attention to when matchmaking players drop out of said group because they're probably about to turn on you. Still, for all the bad Rogue Agents can inflict on you, I've seen plenty of cooperation in the DZ, too. Players who are willing to risk their bounty for people they're not grouped with. Both hostility and generosity are surprising common in the DZ. Weird. Do I recommend this game? Cautiously, yes. Endgame is a loot grind that can be very frustrating since there are often Rogues trying to steal your thunder... but the basic story is enough to draw you in and the skill system is fun (even if many skills overlap). Just make sure you have online access and a friend or two to back you up. You're gonna want to run in packs.

It's a fun game to start, especially playing with friends. Once you get to the end tho, not much left to do except the daily and dark zone. Gets boring.

This is one of the best games with RPG/shooter elements. Not to mention, a good and addictive story with weapon customization and fun multiplayer. The only downfall is the repetitive and unrealistic AI.

After playing the proved disaster that is Destiny, I purchased The Division with skeptisism. I found out that Tom Clancy's The Division is a solid experience with narrative, interesting gameplay mechanics and a good loot system. At launch, The Division was better than Destiny was at it's launch. And it doesn't leave you wondering what's going on. And the fact that it's setting is the iconic NYC, it makes it easier for you to get involved in the story and to care for it. If you get pass the fact that Division is different from Destiny, then you are in for a treat.
