You can only block/reverse a move when the game tells you. The level of detail of the actual wrestlers is mediocre compared to games like Batman or MGS V. Rent this game, don't buy it or buy it used.

Huge Drop Off From Old Games
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The last WWE game I remember playing before this one was Smackdown Here Comes The Pain. The only thing that's better about this game is the graphics and Here Comes the Pain was released a decade ago. You aren't allowed to go back stage and fight. Aren't allowed to play with your mycareer created player outside of the season until he retires. To get out of the Cell in H*ll in a Cell, you have to do a special move at one corner of cell, instead of just making it easy to leave. You have limited reversals. There's so many limitations to the game that ruins it. And it's almost impossible to play against other ppl online.
