The fighting system is worthless 2k ruined this game series 2 years in a row graphics have gone backwards compared to WWE13 too bad THQ died out

I was pretty disappointed in this WWE game. The gameplay is pretty slow and there aren't a lot of special matches that were included on prior versions of this game.

The biggest improvement from the last version is the fact that you can play your custom characters against other players. The pin escapes are improved as well.

Overall the game is an improvement from 2k15 but the submission, pin, reverse system still feel cumbersome and take away from the experience as a whole.

Game is kind of slow for my liking. Graphics of course are good. But I'd consider this game to just be meh.

The game is good. But it needs help. I have played older wwe games that was better.

Full disclosure, I am not really a wrestling fan. Last time I watched a wrestling program had to have been in the late 90's. I did however LOVE WCW/NWO Revenge on the N64 back in the day, so figured I may as well tap into my childhood roots and give this a go, and I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Though I did not know most of the new wrestlers there were still plenty that I did, and the story does an excellent job of holding your hand through a lot of the past main events that helped define the back story to the roster characters. Combat is simple enough, with nice little mini games that are used for things such as grappling, submissions, and going for the 3 count with a pin. Graphics weren't amazing, but the nostalgia and simple dumb fun allowed me to look past this. Plenty of game options to keep you entertained as well, though you may find yourself searching Google for answers as to how you interact with the environment for some of the game modes, again, no big deal. If your a wrestling fan, or you were at one point in time, it will be difficult to not enjoy this latest installment.
