This game was a gift for my son. As a viewer I found it difficult to understand the game.

The difficulty seemed like it was too easy sometimes and too hard at others. Not quite what I expected.

I had played for about ten hours, but got to a point where I was out of ammo, out of supplies, and couldn't really go forward. Without restarting there wasn't much farther I could go

This game rewards exploration. I'm not good a FPS so I play on easy, but this game this game does give me a challenge unlike Resident Evil 7's easy mode.

I read some reviews of the demo online before purchasing. Some mentioned the similarities of this game to Bioshock and Dishonored and I absolutely agree. I enjoyed both of those games and I am enjoying Prey as well (still working on it). I would have liked a sequel to the original but this is an excellent new game. I have been frustrated at times in that I may have gotten ahead of myself and entered areas I might not have had the abilities to handle yet (proper weapons for the job, hacking abilities, etc), but it's a challenge and you have to keep trying. I am playing on normal difficulty and have been playing FPS games pretty much since there have been FPS games. I am glad I purchased this game and I know I will replay it as there are a number of different ways to go about things.

The game is a huge disappointment, its not a bad game but its gameplay and story are very ho hum nothing special. It also can be very difficult at times so if your not a fan of difficult games that may turn you off. Also if your a fan of the original Prey avoid this like the plague it has nothing in common they are connected in no noticeable ways and they play nothing alike.

This game is amazing. I have spent more hours than I care to admit playing it, and I'm still not close to beating it! The difficulty is high (even on easy), but it's never irritating. As a novice gamer, I appreciate that. If I have one complaint, it's that occasionally it's hard to figure out where you're going (especially when you're in space), which can lead to a bit more wandering around than I prefer, but it's a really fun game that I think anyone would enjoy.

I rage quit this game like 3 times in the beginning. It's tough because you are weak and the enemies are very difficult. I was also doing a bunch of side quests to boost up the character. However, if you stick with the main story line first for a while, you'll gain access to great abilities that make survival MUCH more bearable and actually tells a very intriguing story. I really like it because it gets under your skin. Well worth getting if you have a bit of patience in the beginning and expect to die a bunch of times. But use your smarts and you'll be fine. Ultimately, it's a very fun game. I took a star off because the game doesn't really tell you what to do or how anything works, which can be frustrating for the more casual gamer. If you invest a little time and thought, though, it's very rewarding.

I love this game. I walked into Prey with such a reluctance to play it. Nothing I had seen really sold me on it and the gameplay I'd seen wasn't anything that overly impressed me. But once I started it up and began learning this sci-fi world on Talos 1, I began seeing why this was something special. Make no mistake, this is an RPG. Between leveling up, crafting and resource management, accommodating different play styles and Bioshock-like combat, Prey is a perfect mix of gameplay elements. I mention Bioshock but there's an element of Deus Ex as well. You'll spend quite a while combing through the environment and former belongings of those that lived on Talos 1 before the outbreak. This game demands exploration from you, but it's so much fun to do that it doesn't ever feel like a chore. If you enjoy crafting and collecting resources, there's plenty of that too. I've spent many hours collecting and breaking down materials to craft my next weapon upgrade kit or neuromod. Love it. This game is difficult, especially in the beginning. It's a gamer's game, but the payoff is there. There's intrigue, good combat and stealth, an element or horror, and lots and lots to explore. I'm 50 hours in and still wanting more.
