I selected this tripod because every other tripod I own has an issue with holding my D300 and D500 in place. In a vertical position the camera starts to droop. not a problem with this tripod. the down side is the leg angle and height of the tripod. the tripod can be a bit unstable or can be difficult to get it high enough to see over a railing

Worked great for our Hunt simulator camera! We were worried about it getting bumped, but with the adjusting capabilities if this tripod, we were able to lower it to the floor level and avoid any tipping. Haven't tried it with taking pictures, but I think with all the adjustment levels it will work great!

I looked at a lot of tripods before deciding on this one. I was on a budget of less than $150 so many professional photographers would just laugh at that BUT this tripod is strong and does the job! I have a high end DSLR and often use a 150-600 lens without worrying about the tripod failing.

Considering how expensive professional tripods can get, for the price, this one has been good for me since day one. The three legs have four extendable sections each that tighten into place and the main section that holds the camera can adjust up and down as well, with a gear hook at the bottom. I'm 6'1" and at it's tallest, I actually can't see the top of my camera, for what that info is worth. I was actually able to put my 7D Mark II on the bottom end of the mount for a directly-over-top macro use. I'm not sure it's supposed to do that, but it worked for me with the heavy camera. I admit I've been a bit confused now and then with the side-to-side pan thingy. I can usually get it to stay put, but if I'm not paying attention it loosens and thus the camera moves away from target. But it's more user error, I conclude. It does include a carrying bag with light rope "straps" that I have hiked with, although I'll definitely modify those if I hike with it again, as it isn't the most comfortable thing after a long day. Overall, I do recommend this to anyone who isn't in the market for an expensive high-end tripod. It's been sturdy for me and with my heavy camera I haven't had any issues with holding the camera on target at all.

Just what I was looking for. it's larger than most travel tripods, but not by much, and I wanted a bit more support for my DSLR and larger lenses. The way the tripod folds makes it more compact than you would expect. Not a heavy duty tripod, but sturdy enough for my needs.

I have purchased many different tripods over the last couple years and I have to say this is by far the best one I bought. It is super stable and solid. The semi pro head and rail are metal and properly sturdy. Definitely recommend as a solid buy!

i bought this to replace a regular tripod i had been using. with this tripod i am able to setup to take photographs where the normal one wouldn't. the legs bend in different ways so you can adjust to what you need. i recommend this to anyone starting photography.

This is nice for traveling. It folds down to a nice small size. The but part is the twisting twisting to extend the legs. The other but part is the difficulty locking the legs. If the legs don’t lock at the top it easily slips down with the slightest pressure. Overall not bad. But not a quick setup or takedown.

The Tripod I think has sturdy legs and the weight is good enough to support a Canon Vivia Videocam. To support an SLR camera, I think the shoe connector should have been constructed more sturdy than currently is. That is the reason I only give it four stars.

This was an opportunity to buy a highly rated Tripod for a very reasonable mark-down price. It has horizontal and vertical bubble alignment, is lightweight, has a sling bag carrying case, and fits into my carry-on luggage. My understanding is that Manfrotto's origins are associated with Prima Photo.

I dont know what I was expecting the tripod to do except hold my d7100 but man it surprised me. I can become a mono pod. It gives you the best control of angles and a very good quality product.

The tripod is very light but feels very solid. The structure/design is simple and feels very reliable; there is no complex mechanism that leaves room for error on this tripod. A very compact, capable travel tripod in general.

This is an awesome upgrade from my first tripod! I love how there is an option to convert it into a monopod. It's very easy to use. I appreciate that here are two levels because I can get obsessive with how straight my photos are. A welcome surprise for me is the option to change the "feet" of each peg from rubber, to studs. It works great when you're setting up on unpaved surfaces. I'm very happy with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a tripod with a restricted budget.

I was looking for a good midrange travel tripod that could support greater than 10lbs. Found it. Solid tripod securely holds my heaviest setup- Canon 7D with 1.4xTC & 70-200. Decent ball head. Smooth adjustment and quick and solid lockdown. Rubber on adjustment knobs could be tighter fit, but still provides enough grip while turning knobs. My arca swiss plates fit fine. You may have to remove the bottom setscrews on smaller/shorter (50mm) arca plates for plate to fit in clamp. I have a 60mm plate that fits either way but easier to mount with setscrews removed. It's a minor annoyance. Still give five stars since it exceeds my expectations for a midrange tripod.

I bought a cheaper silver tripod before this one and it broke within days. This one is set up all day everyday and still stands firm. It doesn't wobble. It's a great tripod.

We own a commercial photography company and we have pretty large cameras and mounts, we needed something that was more than just regular use. After trying several, we got this one and it's been really great. Additionally, because we're doing a lot of 360 photography, not having pieces stick out saves us a lot of post production time.
