Great Choice for a "Mid-Level" Table

The DEBUT EVO 2 will give you a step up in features from a basic table. The carbon fiber tonearm, precision tonearm bearing, aluminum platter with damping and the MM EVO cartridge all come together in an elegant turntable. Electronic speed control ensures the platter spins at a consistent speed and keeps your records from sounding like the pitch is off. Pick your color and go! The power/speed selector is a toggle switch under the edge of the table, so you get a clean look without buttons or dials on the top side of the table. The Pick IT MM EVO cartridge is made by Ortofon and has similar specs to the 2M Red, and Pro-Ject includes a high quality RCA Phono cable in the box. The felt platter mat is pretty basic and can be replaced if you're getting static on records or just looking for an easy upgrade. This model will need some precision setup, so make sure you have a stylus gauge, protractor and a level ready for your setup. The adjustable feet help with making sure the table is level; this table is more sensitive to being aligned perfectly than basic models, so be prepared to spend some time getting it set up right. The sound payoff will be worth it!

My rep at Magnolia Audio, Andrew, helped me get back into HiFi guiding me through choosing the right amp, speakers and sub. My system is awesome and takes me back to the old days. The crowning touch was selecting the right turntable. This unit was a good intro to spinning records again, with amazing quality at a reasonable price. I highly recommend shopping for audio electronics at Magnolia!

Smooth. I don't know about such things, but some say this is a mid-level table. It seems more than that, I'm not sure I would ever need more. Glad I bought when I did, 1-month ago, because it's sold out now on Best Buy. In 4 words, this thing is awesome. Pair it with a nice power amp, with a phono preamp and solid speakers - oh man. Listening to Vinyl just seems right.

Great solid turntable. Plays all 3 speeds needed (45 78 33) and looks fantastic. It is manual and I prefer semi-automatic

I was told this was the 'best entry-level turntable' and I tend to agree. Any better, and we would be getting into professional equipment.
