A good controller

It's a good controller. I bought it for my wife to play Zelda because it was kind of a struggle to play with the two joy cons. I've never had any sort of lag or interference issues with it. It seems really expensive for what it is, and I haven't tried less expensive wireless controllers to see how they compare.

Very comfortable grip, decent battery life, and chargeable by USB-C. It's pricey, but it's much improved over the Joycons that come with the Switch.

This is the best controller for the Switch. It isn't cheap, but don't waste any time or money on another controller. It also will work on Switch 2! But as of now, I would get the Pro 2 controller if I was buying one for just Switch 2. Unless this controller goes on sale.

Connected quickly (plug it into the dock, and then disconnect after it registers). Great battery life (got about 5 hours of gaming out of it before it started complaining). Better than 3rd party and wired controllers - so worth the premium price.

Great battery life (and even comes fully charged!), works awesome with Gyro, and is more comfortable to hold than the Joycon+grip setup. Looks pretty sleek; I like how you can see into the electronics on the inside.
This is a must have if you have a hard time comfortable holding the joy cons, with or without the grip. The space distribution on the pro controller is just better and more similar to other console controllers like Play Station, XBOX.

Best controller of this generation. Bought as the joy-con are a bit cramped and didn't want to deal with joystick drift. This controller feels so good in hand and the joysticks honestly feel better than the PS5 Dual Sense Xbox Series controller. The 40 hour battery is well beyond them we well. Features like HD rumble and the NFC are also nice. All around if you have a Switch and want the best in controllers this is the controller you need.

The worst thing about this controller is that it has more input lag than the joycons (based off my perception).
Everything else is great. Holds a charge for a long time. Is very comfortable. Feels very sturdy and higher quality than my xbONE controllers.
I really like it and think it’s nearly perfect.

THE Controller for the Switch

I do not mind using the Joy-Cons when playing games like Zelda, but the Pro Controller feels like a much more natural fit. I would constantly struggle to hit the "-" button on the Joy-Cons when they're attached together due to the awkwardness of it being so close to the left thumbstick, but it is perfect on this controller.
The controller overall has a feeling of quality, and it has a very long battery life. Some games require and even work well with the Joy-Cons, but for fighters and action/adventure games, I would strongly suggest getting a Pro Controller.

The pro controller has always been overpriced for what it offers, but being a first party device means it is just going to work. On the plus side, I was about to beat Kirby and the Forgotten Lands on a single charge, can't argue with the battery life especially compared to PS5.

While the controller is a little pricey it addresses the main complaints I have with Joy-Cons in general.
Better ergonomics with a feel not unlike the Xbox One/360 controllers, MUCH better thumbsticks than Joy-Con, and excellent battery life.
Seriously the upgraded thumbsticks alone are worth the upgrade IMO.
Only improvements I think could have been made with this controller are the D-Pad, which feels kinda mushy in comparison with the Joy-Con buttons, and the size/grouping of the ABXY buttons which again lack the nice click of Joy-Con.

A great feeling controller with small caveats

This controller feels just as good as most controllers i used (Xbox One, Dualshock 4). The only small caveats i have with this controller is a weird joystick issue where if you flick the stick hard/fast enough (usually when executing quick inputs), it would “snapback” and go the opposite input. This can be a bit annoying since i didn’t had that issue with othercontrollers but i got used to it. Also wished this controller was a bit cheaper as 70 dollars is a bit steep, though other new flagship controllers from other consoles are nearly the same.

In terms of comfort, button placement, design, the way the sticks feel, and how satisfying it is to push any button with a nice "click" feeling, this is easily the second best controller ever made behind the Xbox One controller. It is SO comfortable and the battery lasts a REALLY long time and charges super fast thanks to USB C. Definitely beats every aspect of the very cheap feeling ps4 controller with terrible battery life. Although is it necessary if you just have the grip and joy cons? Not necessarily but it is definitely the best way to play your games.

This is the controller that should come with the switch. It works 100% better than the joy cons and I find it has a pretty good battery life. My kids have played on the switch for two or three days straight before needing to charge it. I also bought one for myself, so when I play I got a my own controller that I use. Yea it’s expensive, but it’s totally worth it once you are use to the controller.

This controller is much more comfortable than the one that comes with the console. I played for months with the joy-cons attached to the grip handle. But with games like Zelda I needed more than an hour to move fordward in the story, and the joy-cons started to feel very uncomfortable, So I upgraded to the Pro and it was a huge difference. Loved it. It took me a few days to get used to the new buttons setup, but it was worth it. No more cramped hands xD. I also think that the battery of this controller last longer than the joy-cons.
