I use the typical bread from the store and occasionally store bought waffles. They both go all the way down with this toaster. This toaster has worked out for our family just fine.

Its great to be able to toast 4 pieces at the same time! The width of the slots is ample and accommodates bagels just fine! I wish the depth was deeper so large sliced bread could be toasted at one time instead of half then half. The plug cord needs to be a little longer by 10-12", the toaster is too close to the coffeepot that uses the same electrical outlet. I ewvry much appreciate the ability to modify the intensity of the actual toasting!

Since I bought my first one from Best Buy it has proven to done a excellent job for all my toasting needs.
