    I had a problem cooking hot wheat cereal in the microwave because it takes so long.This cooker was perfect,it breaks the grains down to the right consistency that I prefer.Works excellent!

    Had similar Proctor Silex for 16 years, bought this one as a replacement . Not expecting any problems and it seems to work just as well. Cooked Brown Rice, Barley, Green and Brown Lentils to this point, all with no problem. A useful appliance.
