Difficult to activate, with very poor customer service. The tie to the iFIT subscription basically means Proform will frustrate you at every step of the way in the activation and use of the device. After setup I observed the resistance in the rower does not work. Called Proform and after a 1 hour wait, they said they are sending a technician to repair it in 5 days. So much for brand new equipment - it came out of the box needing parts and repairs. I also happen to have mistakenly bought a Proform HIIT Elliptical. In that case, they sent me a used product.

I only want to use it in a manual mode which it says I can do after "activating" it. What it doesn't say is that to activate you have to pay at least $15 a month and download their app that it asks you if you want to use or not, then tell you it's too bad you have to use it anyway. Would have been better off paying MORE for one I can use without all the extra crap!

We’re sorry for the misunderstanding.
When you register your rower, the free trial to iFIT gets activated and this membership can easily be canceled anytime by logging into your account at iFIT.com and going to Settings. iFIT membership is not required to use your rower in a manual setting.

Great Rower. IFIT is not so great.

You can override the IFIT by holding down the IFIT sync button for thirty seconds. If you do download the app you can still use the rower without signing in. Tap the manual mode in the app. I could not find any free video workouts in the app.

There are free workouts available in the library when you enter the library without logging in, although the selection is limited to studio workouts.

Its been a nightmare for the past 2 months trying to work with Proform/IFIT to get it fixed. I’ve spent more time with them on the phone than i have actually been able to use the rower.

The description indicated there would be 20 workouts resident on the rower but there are none. To use workouts requires a subscription to iFit at $180 per year. The item number I received ended in 21 and should have ended in 21.

You can use workouts in the iFIT library without paying for a membership. Entering the iFIT library without a login will give you access to a selection of workouts for free.
If you prefer to have a membership at any time, monthly payments may be a more affordable option ($15 for an individual subscription). Membership can be canceled at any time by logging into your account and going to settings. Visit ifit.zendesk.com for more information.
