Great power rack, quality build and so far used it for a months with no issues.

This rack was an incredible purchase for our family! My husband has been home, since having surgery, just over 1 year ago. He needed a safe space to work out that could handle a lot of weight. The storage on this is phenomenal. I like that the bars for storing weights are on the outside, leaving more room to move around on the inside. Also with having the adjustable spotters, he is able to push his limits without worry of a spotter. There are ways of tethering down the machine, to keep it from lifting, but if you have an area where you be cannot do that, don’t worry. The base is made very wide, with the extra weight housed on the outside, keeping it very secure. Putting it together requires patience and a great deal of work, but it was not complicated. The pieces are made very well, but not too heavy to lift into place. I was given this product at a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

The Pro Form Carbon Rack XL is a great addition to our home gym. It’s very heavy duty but also easy for me to move on my own. It’s very sturdy there’s no rocking when I’m trying to do my workouts. There isn’t a height restriction like some other brands I’ve seen before so that’s a big plus. With this rack you can do every exercise you want with weights. The assembly was fairly easy. I did need a second person just to attach a few bolts while I held pieces into place. Overall it has been great equipment for me to work out with. Very pleased. I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

This is a nice rack for the price. However, one of my biggest gripes is it does not include safety pins that run the whole length of the rack. The safety arms provided are much too short for anything worthwhile or safe. I use them like the j hooks to rack the bar in as the actual hooks provided are very narrow and hard to rack into. The rack itself is very stable even when not screws into the floor due to the wide spacing which is a plus, the dual pull-up bars are nice. I haven’t had any significant amount of weight on this to know, but I can’t see it being able to handle more than 400lbs despite the weight limits from the manufacturer. Also, if you were planning on using the weight rack, good luck. This massively gets in the way of the j hooks and bar and will render the rack unusable if you are looking to do anything but lift outside of the actual rack. Despite the massive design flaws, I am not completely unhappy.

For the cost, this does everything you could need. Sure, it doesnt have the holes youd want for universal equipment, being able to attached things on four sides of the posts. What it does have is attachments with it and for a steal of a price. Ive had mine now for a year and its fantastic. Havent had any problems with it and its relatively easy to build. Do it with another person for safety.

I searched for a workout cage like this one for about a month and the ones I liked were close to or over 1000 dollars. Then this one came up with recommendations since I'd been searching so much and with it being a Bestbuy item ot was easier for me to make the purchase. From the time I opened the box I knew it was what I have been looking for.

14 yr old wanted rack for lifting at home. Proform was a great, safe solution.

Love this but my only complaint is there were some defects to setting up , still useable but for example the pull up bar attachment was missing a predecibles hole on the top right side of the frame . We made a new hike ourself but small defects on the right side of the frame where you can see the pre drilled the wholes backwards . But item is still fully functional, didn’t return only because it was all setup and took me a good minute installing myself .

This is a very solid piece of home gym equipment. For the price, I don’t think you will be able to find anything better. I would definitely buy this again.

Easier ro put togwther with 2 people. Keep an eye on all the pieces might arrive alittle weird made in china.

This is a great home gym to have. And Best Buy was the cheapest place to get it. Saving my friends and myself around me a lot of money without having to get gym memberships!

Pro-Form Carbon Strength Power Rack XL Review: Overall, 4.5 stars Weight Rests (J-Cups) 1.5 stars: Pros: Welding- The welding on the weight rests looked excellent for a China manufactured product. Weight capacity: according the manual the weight rests should not exceed 510 lbs. Cons: Padding- The weight rests are bare they have no padding. This is ok, if you are using a beater bar. If you are using a more pristine bar there could be consequence hitting your bar on direct metal. Lip- the weight rest lip is quite large. *Can be used with any standard Olympic weightlifting bar* It looks like you can upgrade the J cups (weight rests) to have plastic bushings (sold separately) Welding/Cuts of the rack 4.75 stars: The welding as a whole was excellent. No splotches, no extra marks, etc. The frame was spot on everything, the only imperfection, that I was able to see, was the stabilizers did have all around welds like other parts of the rack and one had more of a lip than the other on a weld. The hole cuts were excellent they are smooth and allow the “weight rests” and other accessories with the rack to fit adequately and be used as expected. Prosthetically pleasing 5 stars: The coating and look of the rack were great! I saw no scratches in the paint, the rack was eye catching and pleasing. Stability 5 stars: For a squat rack in this price range, it has excellent stability. I love that there are holes in the feet to allow for the squat rack to be bolted down. (Does not come with concrete screws) Storage 5 stars: The storage is excellent. There are 6 pegs available for storing weight and each peg has the capability of holding 150 pounds (according the manual) Pull-up bar 5 stars: I have all pros for the pull-up bar! Padding- the padding is great. It is hard enough to create a firm grip and soft enough that it doesn’t kill your hands. Variations- the pull-up bar allows for many different variations of pulls-ups and chin-ups. Sturdy: when performing pull-ups, the rack is sturdy Rack depth: there is enough rack depth to allow for kip ups and other variations of leg driven pull ups to occur (I am 6’3”). Height: the height is excellent. It allows individuals that are taller than 6’ to feel comfortable doing pull-ups. Weight capacity: the weight capacity of the of the pull-up bar is 300 lbs (according to the manual). Landmine: 5 stars The landmine functions properly and allows for exercises to be smooth. I used up to 135 pounds of weight on the landmine and it worked exceptionally well. Spotter arms: 5 stars I liked how they provided plastic on their spotter arms to help prevent damage. The spotter arms fit properly and function properly. Band Pins: 5 stars No slip- did not let bands lip out of the pin Rotation- it allows some rotation which is beneficial for some exercises I was given this product at a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

I was nervous when I had this delivered. You don't realize the size til it's here. Opened the box and man, was I intimidated! As I unpacked I realized, it's not bad, they just use a ton of protective packing!! I just laid out the pieces where I thought they would go. From here, I assembled this as a 1 man team and timed myself. It took 1 hour and 10 minutes! It would be easier with a 2nd person for a few parts but it's that easy! The manual is super easy to read and follow too. The quality is off the charts! It looks good and you can tell it's just a high quality piece that feels very well made and is definitely gym quality! I love the 6 different bars to store the weights. The chin up/ pull up bat is an awesome feature too! The nice part of this is the base of the legs. You have an option to anchor them down, but they make a wide plate for stability and it does not feel like it's going move at all and my husband weighs 250 and loved it too and felt stable! I haven't tried the resistance bands on this yet. But what a great feature to add in that there is actually a place to add the bands and stay safe doing it. High quality at a great price! My wife and I have been using this rack for about 1 month and we are beyond happy with it! We love that the pull-up bar is included and not an addition. It’s built sturdy and was very easy and quick to assemble! Absolutely love it and would recommend for any home gym just make sure you have the ceiling height. I love the functionality and versatility of this power rack! I did need an additional person to help with assembly of this rack, but it was quick and easy to assemble! It comes with detailed instructions and additional help should you need it! It offers the potential for a full body workout on days you struggle to make it to the local gym! This piece of equipment was easy to put together with two people! This is a sturdy power rack and can be used in all different forms. The barbell we had fit perfectly on this rack. I will be adding more attachments to it as it is so versatile! I personally enjoy this piece of equipment for the days I need to get a workout in but do not want to go to the gym. I can incorporate a full body workout just by using this rack. Using the resistance bands on the bars is my go-to! I highly recommend this piece of equipment. I’m really impressed with this power rack, it really is the perfect home gym. I was able to assemble by myself , but definitely recommend a helper. I’m getting a great whole body workout, and able to include my family to join in with me. The cage is deep enough to fit your own bench comfortably in for bench press as well, but I would use safety pins for added safety. I've had this piece for almost two weeks and it's definitely working as i would hope. I got this as a piece to build my small home gym around. I love the built in weight storage and the built in spotter system. Assembly was straight forward but a second adult makes it go much easier. I plan to add more pieces to it in the near future.
