Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the fun and engaging gameplay in Project X Zone 2, praising its enjoyable and addictive nature, while keeping a similar style to its predecessor. However, some find the storyline lacking in coherence and others feel the game is too easy. The turn-based strategy elements are also a point of discussion among players.

Project X Zone 2's gameplay isn't anything to write home about. But if you like the characters within, it's fun to see all of them together.

    Fanservice at its best

Combining fan favorites from across Sega, Capcom, and Namco's vast game worlds, Project X Zone 2 is a fun strategy game that introduces some action elements to combat and has some great 2D combat animation. The strategy is not as deep as something like Fire Emblem, and the story pretty nonsensical. But the real draw is seeing all your favorite characters interact with each other. Curious what would happen if Fire Emblem's Chrom teamed up with Soul Caliber's Natsu? Or how would Phoenix Wright react to representing Tekken's Heihachi in court? PxZ2 answers all these questions and more, and it's amazingly funny about it.

    Beware.

Beware this game can easily get repetitive, especially if you are unfamiliar with most of the characters and don't care too much for the story. If you are familiar with the bulk of the characters than it is not a bad game, although it's a bit easy.

    Interesting Game

I initially got the first game based on a demo I played via the eShop. The first game is great and has many levels, but I found it to be very exhausting. I only got to about Chapter 12 on the first game. I figured I'd pick up the 2nd entry because it is a very unique type of game. For the most part, Project X Zone 2 has improved a lot over the first game, but can still be exhausting. Lots of characters may sound awesome, but it becomes confusing quickly, especially if you're not well versed on each and ever universe that is crossing here. Pick it up if you'd like a nice in depth game for on the go!

The original was a long shot in being localized for North America. Well, the text translations (no english dub) were quick and it did well enough to garner a sequel. So much crazy fan service with all the characters available.

I never thought the first game would make it to the USA and when it released over here it was a great game to play and now that part 2 is here the story continues with even more characters available. If you like turn based games like Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics you may like this game too
