Always great to have. They have superior customer service. My daughter called twice due to some minor issues she was experiencing & she was treated with the utmost respect. They verified her age & made arrangements to call back when an adult was present. Her issues was resolved & they even called back the next day to make sure before closing out the ticket. I would definitely recommend this!

After comparing computers from different stores and venders I found a couple of laptops that were a bit less expensive but after doing the research on their warranty or protection I found out that it would not compare to the protection plan Best Buy had to offer and found out that it would be a lot more expensive getting a less expensive computer with not so good protection.

Got to have it. Got it for 189 on sale can't beat 3 years of protection

I am not a fan of extended warranties. They are a risk reward proposition. Apple Care delivers what is promised. Whether it is providing advice and how to instruction, replacing a power connector or getting my Bootcamp partition configured, both Apple Store and Apple telephone support have been there when needed. The payoff is unquestioned first class support.

Like most products these days, a decent warranty is an add on. There is no way I would buy a computer without one. I have not had to use this protection for this computer, and I hope I do not have to. I did have to use Applecare on my last Mac purchase and it was worth its weight in gold. I am glad it is there in the unlikely event of equipment failure.

Life is too stressful to worry about what might happen, protect yourself when you have invested so much-think what would a day without completing my homework do to a college student on a scholarship! They are use to being prepared and have done their part. It's like taking care of them but at a distance so they can think and do their job without added worry.

I would always recommend getting insurance for any type of product that you invested a good amount of money on like refrigerators, washers, and dryers. You'll never know when you are going to neeed a repair until the product stops working properly . It is just good to have, I have used used AppleCare several times on my previous computer with no problems.

We purchased this with our Mac Pro, not sure if we would ever use it. One week from the time the accidental damage was to expire the Mac Pro screen got chipped. Geek Squad and Apple took care of everything for us with no extra cost. We are very glad we purchased the Apple care protection plan, and we will definitely add this to our future Apple purchases.

The extra hundred or so is worth it, if you plan on keeping your Apple Systems going for at least 5 years. I make sure to bring it in for a check every year I have coverage even if there is nothing wrong. Even if there is a slight repair its worth it.

With every apple product that I've bought-I've always bought the apple protection to go with it. While some might say it's a little pricey-I say that while that might be true, I'd rather pay the price for protection than to have something to happen to one of my products and not have no kind of protection on them! Buy the protection!

good protection, but doesn't cover water damages..

I'm in Graduate school. I don't have time to screw around with technical issues. This plan allows me to just drop it off and say "Fix it please" and they will call me when it's ready to pick up. I have not had to use it yet but there is an awful lot of peace of mind that come from having the plan in place before I need it.

The computer this was purchased for was a gift to our 14-year old granddaughter. We had help from Best Buy geek squad where we purchased the computer and plan to get the protection plan transferred to our son. Without their help, this would have been a hassle. We're expecting the protection plan to be of great value to them.

Normally I do not like to purchase these high dollar protection plans but since I have not owned a Mac before I did. I am impressed with the plan and hopefully won't have to use it but its great peace of mind. Also, the Apple help that comes with the plan is great because you can call them anytime for anything.
