It's straightforward. You'd be dumb not to add Applegate to your $2000+ purchase. It covers your butt against nearly everything that could happen. One hard drive failure could cost more than the protection, and much longer of a wait, too! What's that? A dead pixel? Got it covered! This is one time, I spend the extra!

As the laptop we purchased is very expensive I purchased the Apple Care Plan on the advice of a good friend who has used it in the past. We luckily haven't had to use the service yet but it is great piece of mind to know we have it. From the experiences that my friend has had Apple actually stands behind it.

Please be sure to take advantage of this opportunity to invest in your product. Apple products are not cheap, so take advantage of the insurance through AppleCare. Trust me, if something fails on these mechanics, you'll save more money in the long run -- i.e., there are no quick fix hacks anymore.

All of my Apple products have been amazing investments that deserve to be cared for my the professionals who understand this technology. Yes, it is pricey, but if you value and appreciate your investment, put your money where your mouth is and take care of your product. You won't regret the ROI!

I plan to be dependent upon this device for the next year or so while I finish my PhD. Because of this, I need it to work and continue working, so I purchased the AppleCare package just in case. I cannot afford major downtime or hardware/software issues, so this is my insurance policy.

In the two months that I've had it for my new computer, I thankfully haven't had to use it. In the past, it was a great asset to have for my computer. The Apple support team was able to assess my problem, arrange a mailer, and return my laptop to me fixed within a short period of time.

when purchasing any electronics, especially high end i will always purchase this added protection. I have had to use it twice over the years and the benefit of being able to take it to my local BB to get it diagnosed. if they cannot fix it they will replace it. its a no brainer.

Apple goes above and beyond to get you back on track no matter what happens. The Mac is pretty solid but no one can prepare for power surges , black outs or babies dropping your Mac. They will get you in and out in 3 days or less. its an investment that is worth the return.

Apple has such great support and customer service. I haven't used this protection plan yet, as I just recently purchased it with a new MacBook Pro. However, I had an Apple Protection Plan on my son's refurbished iPad. After almost 3 years of use, we were having trouble with his iPad shutting down so I called Apple support. I was informed it was the battery, which could not be replaced. So, they helped me back the malfunctioning iPad up on the Cloud and sent a new iPad with a return label for me to the send the old one back. This was all done in a matter of days without any hassle, and I didn't even have to pay any shipping. Oh, and the best part-- When you call you aren't on hold forever, and you get to speak to a real person who is able to address your problem right away!!!!

I usually buy extra protection for my most expensive purchase from Best Buy and now Apple. Computers, TV's, appliances should always be covered with an extended warranty if your paying good money for them. I have not been disappointed with purchasing extra protection items.

Purchased on sale to replace my 8 year old macbook. Since I decided to go with the larger Retina display (15.4"), I was really surprised by how light weight it is for its size. I have been able to transport it relatively easily and comfortably, although finding good streamlined cases for it is a little more difficult than the 13.1" MacBook Pro. Performs really well! The quality of the display and the fast processor have made it enjoyable. I am looking forward to doing some gaming on the machine. I have already played a few games on it and there were no problems with gameplay. It performs fantastically for streaming videos and loading high-res images. The battery last for a very long time when browsing the internet and doing email. Battery life is still pretty respectable when gaming or watching videos. My only con is that it does not have a CD drive. I'll take that trade-off to make the machine lighter and more portable, but buying the USB superdrive is a must to rip CDs and load new programs to the machine. I am really happy with the purchase. It was pricey, but I can see this computer lasting for quite a while.

I have never had to invoke an apple warranty, but if I do, I hope they follow through on the delivery of service. I've been buying apple products since the original Apple II. That's a lot of warranties.

I always buy AppleCare. While in general I've had great experiences with my Apple products over the years, when there is a problem it's great to have AppleCare because you can just simply take it the Apple Store and they will take care of you.

they were immediately helpful in helping set up computer and very patient with people with little computer knowledge They seemed genuinely interested in providing assistance. The service provides ease of mind after purchase of this elite computer.

AppleCare is well worth the money when buying a new Mac. The plans are far less expensive than an out of warranty repair in the unfortunate event you ever need one. Better safe than sorry, especially when it comes to a mobile device or laptop.

EVERYTIME I HAVE CALLED THEM, I NEVER HAVE TO WAIT OVER 3-4 MINUTES AND THEY ARE ON THE LINE TO HELP ME. VERY NICE PEOPLE TO TALK TO. I WOULD BE LOST NOW WITHOUT THE PROTECTION. THEY HELP ME AND SOLVE THE PROBLEMS EVERYTIME.

I have not had to use the AppleCare product yet. And I hope I never Have to use it. But just knowing I protection for my Mac for the next 3 years is nice to know my investment is protected in case something happens.

We never use to buy protection plans but the AppleCare provides great coverage. Even if we don't have any issues with the macbook, we can always get a new battery and power cord before the end of the warranty.

Haven't had to use yet, but nice to know that in a year from now if I need help or just have a simple question they will be there. Apple customer service rated the highest but my Bible , Consumer Reports.
