Might work well for a small closet or pantry room. Did not seem to capture anything with a room filled with steam. Had to return and get the bigger Keystone model

After being on for 6 days in a very humid room (56%) it only removed about an inch and a half of moisture out of the room.

Should Have Done This A Long Time Ago!!

The very first thing I can say about the Pure Enrichment - PureDry Deluxe 1.5L Dehumidifier is WOW!! I should have done this a long time ago!! I was not at all sure how much of a difference a dehumidifier would make in the overall comfort of my house. It is a fairly open design, and I was a bit concerned it might be too big of an area for the dehumidifier to work well. After less than one hour, I found I needed to turn up the air as I was getting cold. Normally the air has a noticeable feel of dampness to it as I live in the south where the humidity gets crazy. The typical AC unit just isn't able to remove all the moisture from the air, so it requires keeping the air turned down lower than it would be in less humid regions. But like I said, after less than an hour, I had to turn the air up to 72 degress, from 70.and then later up to 73. I was, and am remarkably comfortable, dry, cool, and happy. The unit came ready to use straight out of the box. All I had to do was select a spot to put it, plug it in, and turn it on. The controls are thankfully few (only three) and very simple to understand. There is a button to set the length of time you want it to run (either 4 hours, 8 hours, or continuous). The power button of course, and the fan speed, which is "low" or "high." After it had been running for a while, I checked the water tray, and it had already accumulated a surprising amount of water. The dehumidifier will shut off automatically if the water tank gets too full, or also if it overheats. DAY TWO: I have put this through two full days of use, and am completely sold on it. This has made a HUGE difference in the living comfort of my home. The air is very noticeably drier, the AC is cooling like never before, and we are all very happy. Now, there is one thing that I must point out. It is a bit noisier than I like. In fact, on the high speed setting, it is very noticeable. But for the trade-off of drier air and higher AC settings and lower energy bills, it is more than fair!! I would absolutely 100% HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Pure Enrichment - PureDry Deluxe 1.5L Dehumidifier to anyone who lives in an area of high humidity. After only two days it has transformed the way we live. I am going to get two more units for the rest of the house.

At first, I honestly didn’t notice much difference with this dehumidifier, but I started to notice a difference about 2- or 3-days in. It is very user friendly with a 4 and 8 hour timer, plus a red light alert that let’s you know its time to empty the tank. I have used it consistently for about a week and I have emptied it just once, so it lasts a good long time. A few things to note: - While its powerful enough for my bedroom, I can’t imagine this is powerful enough for any larger room like a living room -I have heard it may need to be emptied more often due to its size again -While it’s a good, decent dehumidifier and does the job, I don’t think it meets the price points value -Is definitely a bit noisy; not obtrusive, but definitely not quiet at all Despite all of this, the dehumidifier made my hardwood floors less “sticky”. The humidity in the air definitely cause a sticky feel on my hardwood floors, so just for this alone I would definitely recommend this ---- but for smaller spaces only.

Never having owned a dehumidifier before, I was very excited to try out, and review Pure’s Puredry Deluxe Dehumidifier. At first I thought I was going to have to spend 30 minutes reading the instructions, but I was wrong, from the time I opened the box to the time I understood this device completely was maybe five minutes. It’s real simple, you plug it in, and there’s three buttons on the top. One button turns on the machine, One button is for high or low speed settings, with the high setting being used for higher humidity levels. the third button is for either a 4 or 8 hour timer, if you do not select a timer, the machine will run continuously till you physically turn it off. The device itself is not very big so it fits almost anywhere, but just big enough so that you know this thing can get rid of moisture at a good rate. It’s also very well-made, i’m impressed of how it looks and feels, the clear container in the back where the water gets collected is pretty nice too. It’s got some fail safe features in case the water fills up completely and you are not home to turn it off or you just don’t notice that it’s full etc. I wanted to wait as long as possible before I submitted my review till I saw results… One hour in and I already have about an ounce of water in the container, I am sold. Before I got this machine I was using disposable moisture eliminator containers, those would take days just to get any results… i’ll be buying a couple of these to give to my mom, family members etc. And for just for reference, I don’t have a huge humidity problem, just pretty average like I’m sure a lot of people out there reading my review.

    A small but effective dehumidifier!

Bottom Line: The Pure Enrichment PureDry Deluxe 1.5L Dehumidifier is a small and effective machine, but some buyers may need a larger / more feature rich unit to effectively manage humidity in their home. Pros: small size; works Cons: no humidistat; no air filter Review: The Pure Enrichment PureDry Deluxe 1.5L Dehumidifier is a very small unit (12” height, ~8” long, ~5” wide) that can manage humidity in a space up to 160 sq. ft. According to the user manual, it can remove about 20 oz (1.25 pints) of water from the air per day, which is on par with my tests. For instance, I put the unit in my upstairs hallway next to the bathroom door with 67% humidity. After running the unit on high setting for a little over two hours, the humidity was down to 58%, and it had collected about 2 oz of water. The unit has basic controls: power, low/high, and 4/8hr timer buttons. It does not have a built in humidistat, so the unit will not automatically regulate the relative humidity. Rather, if the timer is not set, the unit will run continuously until the water tank is full. As such, users may consider getting a separate hygrometer to measure the room’s humidity and adjust operation of the unit accordingly. Buyers should also note that this unit does not have an air filter, which might be a concern if mold /mildew is an issue in the space. The air intake is through plastic fins in the back panel, which is removable and cleanable (held on with 1 screw). In terms of noise, my phone registers it at 44 dB-A on low and 51 dB-A on high sitting about 3 feet away, which isn’t terribly loud but neither really whisper quiet. Overall, the unit will remove excess humidity from the air in a small, compact, and lightweight design, and I think it’s ideal for those looking to increase air comfort on high humidity days. For those who need continuous moisture control and improved air quality may want to consider a larger unit with a built in humidistat and air filter.

    Decent Personal Dehumidifier

Summary ------------- This is a small humidifier good for a room of size 160 sqft. So it is best fit in an office or inside the closet if you don’t want your clothes to be impacted by humidity. This humidifier does not have a pump and you cannot redirect the water to an outlet. The water gets stored in the tank and needs to be emptied after its full and the capacity is 1.5L What's in the box ---------------------- Deluxe Dehumidifier, Removable Water Tank Pros ----- 1. Small size and footprint 2. Cheap price. 3. Not noisy, its quiet. 4. No filter to replace. Cons ------- 1, max size of room you can place it in is 160 sqft. DETAILS ---------- Build Quality ----------------- Very well built and the interface is simple. 3 buttons - power, high/low, timer (4hr vs 8hr). If you don’t setup the timer, it just runs until tank fills. Usage -------- Basically plug and play, and it’s a basic humidifier. You can run it in a timed mode for 4hr/8hr or run until the water in the reservoir fills up. The reservoir can hold up to 1.5L which is fairly decent for a dehumidifier this size. Based on the amount of water this thing collects, it is evident that it works pretty well.

Best Fix for Humid Bathrooms & Bad Ventilation

The Pure Enrichment PureDry Deluxe is a perfect way to eliminate leftover humidity in bathrooms that do not have adequate ventilation. My bathroom is 10'x12,' and the fan is not the greatest. It is the builder quality standard cheapie fan. I have been avoiding getting in the attic to change it and upgrade the exhaust to 3", but that isn't part of this review. Enter the PureDry Deluxe. It is aesthetically pleasing and blends into my modern home decor. There are only three buttons, and it is pretty straightforward. Setup is a breeze. You plug it in and let it run. The simple, minimalistic interface has only a power button, speed, and auto shut-off timer is the three buttons. It can remove up to 20 oz of water a day, and the tank holds 1.5L. It is rated to handle rooms up to 160 sqft. An auto-shut-off will stop the reservoir from overfilling and spilling, which is a peace of mind feature. It runs very quietly and does generate a bit of heat. It does the job and is small and portable. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Out of the box, this isn’t much to write home about. The box shares basic features on the outside with minimal packaging on the inside. It’s basically just the unit and instructions. The unit is really close to the size of the box if you’re in store and wanting a physical comparison without busting out the tape measurer. The de-humidifier is incredibly simple in use as there’s very few functions or options besides what it does at its core. The machine is pretty light and plugs in to any standard outlet. You have a power on/off button on top of the system. Next to that is a timer setting in case you want to have it on for a set time or you’d with the options bring four or eight hours. Then you have a low or high setting depending on how much you’d like to dehumidify. I live in the Portland metro area, which is very neutral, rarely that humid, and rarely that dry. Because of my surroundings, I’ve only been using the system for four hours a night on low in my bedroom. If nothing else, it does slightly aid in cooling a room while maintaining air quality. Normally I also have pretty rough allergies but they haven’t been as bad lately, possibly thanks to the allergen control benefits that come along with using one of these. My only qualms are that the indicator lights for the three options on the machine are a pretty blight blue that cannot be turned down, thus lighting up your room if you use at night. Additionally the machine isn’t what I consider quiet, it sounds like a fan running at medium speed at least. The noise doesn’t bother me too much since it’s steady but if you’re looking for something that’s silent as a mouse, look elsewhere. All in all, this gets a passing grade and I would recommend it.

    Small Dehumidifier Comes in Handy

This PureDry dehumidifier is small and fairly quiet. A simple machine--just a few controls and a pull-out water reservoir. It puts out quite a bit of heat like a full-size one. When it's summer in Florida it's hard to find humidity in the house with the AC running, but I tested it in 2 bathrooms with the doors closed after they had been used for showers and had damp towels hanging in them. The starting relative humidity in the one room was 62%, and after about 90 minutes it had dropped it to the low 50's, but only about 2 ounces of water had collected in the reservoir. Same situation in the other bathroom. The machine raised the temp in those rooms significantly though. I am thinking this unit would work great inside a damp RV or camper, even the inside of a vehicle that you left the windows down in a rain storm. I think the heat from the machine and the air blowing in and out of it would help as much as the actual removal of water from the air.

This is a small dehumidifier that is perfect for a small 10' by 10' or smaller room lick a closet. Works well and it is easy to empty the container. It has a timer with two choices for it to shut off or can be used indefinitely. Works as expected, I cant comment on longevity since I just got it.
