The Pure Enrichment - PureDry Deluxe 1.5L Dehumidifier - White is the perfect product for anyone in high humidity areas. Perfect for home, office, bathrooms, closets and other areas were moisture can bring havoc. 1.5L capacity tank allows this unit to work as hard as you do without the need to constantly empty it. High and Low speeds gives you flexibility for needs. Quiet, small footprint, and stylish so it fits in just about anywhere! I found this unit to be perfect for our RV. In the Pacific Northwest (PNW) RV living can quickly be ruined by the humidity and moisture in the RV. Rather than hanging a bunch of dry chemical bags throughout the RV to help get the damp out, the Pure Enrichment PureDry Deluxe has been the perfect solution and have helped reduce and eliminate the harmful moisture in our rig! PROS - Pure Enrichment design and quality - Small but powerful and effective - Quiet running, but enough power to get the job done - 1.5L tank - Easy setup and empty - Stylish and fits in the décor without being an eyesore CONS - None at this time!

I mainly got the dehumidifier for a bathroom that doesn't have a vent. Dehumidifiers are basically what you have at the back of a AC unit so the since you're not venting the heat outside, you have to deal with it being released back into the room you're trying to dehumidify. Downside of this is that hot air holds more water so in a room like a bathroom that has open water sources, the heat and humidity rose as I used it. Humidity after a shower was 55% and rose to about 60% after 30min of usage. The heat also went from 80F to 91F in that time. The air the dehumidifier was putting out was 108F. Now, this probably wouldn't be an issue if I were using it in a bigger room. The 1/2 bath is about 25sq ft with low ceiling. So no more bathroom use for the dehumidifier. Second test was to run it overnight as I slept. Sometimes if I don't turn the AC down enough the humidity can get up to 65% and wake me because it's too muggy. With the dehumidifier I was able to set the AC to 72 instead of 68 and the air stayed nice a dry - around 45-50%. I can't say if it was the dehumidifier itself or if it was because the heat output that the AC turned on more often as it also acts as a dehumidifier. Since I can't use dehumidifier in the bath, I'm gonna have to find a new use for it. It performs fine, but the limitations made me have to rethink what to do with it.

My son has terrible allergies. We have an air purifier in his room already, but he still has fits with his allergies at times. However, I think we finally found a really good recipe to combat his allergies with the Pure Enrichment - PureDry Deluxe dehumidifier. We have noticed that now during a time of year in Central Texas when ambient humidity is 65% - 85% everyday he is normally borderline miserable more often than not but that since we started using this device his daily symptoms seem to be quelled. Out of the box the unit is small, compact, and easy to assemble. We plugged the unit in and immediately noticed how quite it runs. We were amazed the first night when he woke up and we found several ounces of water had collected in the reservoir tank. This only spurred us to continue using the unit daily. Since then, slowly and surely the tank is getting less water and my son is maintaining more often than normal. I cannot be certain, but we feel like the Pure is making an impact on his wellbeing and for us that is enough.

Coming from a household that’s only ever used large, compressor-based dehumidifiers to keep basements dry in the summer, I admit I was skeptical of a unit this small. I’ve been curious about these thermoelectric dehumidifiers for awhile now, as someone who lives in a one-bedroom apartment with a walk-in closet that is not well-served by the central AC. I usually leave my closet door open for airflow, but after adopting a cat, I had to start leaving the door shut to keep a curious kitten out of trouble. I put a thermo-hygrometer in the closet to keep track of temperature and humidity, and found that even with the AC set at a constant 72 my closet tended to be both warmer and slightly damp. I like to keep the humidity under 60% so mold and mildew don’t grow, and with the door shut all the time I found the closet humidity reading edging a little too close to 60% for my liking. Setting my AC to 80 when I was gone for a long period of time would be sure to send the closet humidity readings north of 60%. Enter the Pure Enrichment PureDry Deluxe. This little unit uses small fans and a thermoelectric setup to extract water from the air, and is advertised as being designed for smaller rooms like bedrooms, bathrooms and closets. I figured this would be the perfect type of unit to test in my closet, which is about 33 square feet and has no ventilation other than the crack under the door. The PureDry is even smaller in person than it looks in photos. It comes fully assembled and offers touch-style digital controls for power, fan speed and a 4/8 hour timer. It uses a regular two-prong polarized plug and has a decent-sized water reservoir with an automatic float shutoff as well as a hookup for a small drain hose (to enable constant use). Setup was a breeze: I simply unwrapped the PureDry, plugged it in and turned it on. Air enters through a large grille on the back of the unit and exits through smaller grilles on either side and the top corners. The unit defaults to high speed when you first turn it on, so using low speed requires a tap of a touch-sensitive button. The unit will run continuously until it’s full, or you can tap the timer button to have it automatically shut off after 4 or 8 hours (or sooner, if it were to fill up). While running, the PureDry sounds like a computer under heavy load, and I’m sure the fans inside probably are computer fans. It’s certainly audible on high, a little less so on low, but fan noise is all you can hear (no compressor cycling as on a full-size dehumidifier). Standing next to my closet with the door shut I can barely hear the PureDry on high, and can’t hear a thing on low. To see how the PureDry performed, I ran it for 8 hours on low one day followed by 8 hours on high the next day, taking care to keep the door shut as much as possible. I recorded the temperature and humidity readings every hour while the unit ran, and then measured how much water it collected. The first day, on low, the PureDry managed to reduce the relative humidity by 5.1% (from 56.9% to 51.8%) while raising the temperature about 5 degrees and collecting 22 ml of water. On day two, running on high, the PureDry lowered the humidity about 4% (from 54.4% to 50.4%) while raising the temperature 3 degrees and collecting 55 ml of water. While this wasn’t a tightly-controlled experiment, and the second day was cooler outside and the closet started at a lower humidity reading, I was impressed to see the PureDry managed to reduce the humidity levels both days. Even better, I was glad to see a meaningful difference in water collection between low and high, with the PureDry collecting 150% more water on the high setting. I can see why the unit defaults to high when you turn it on, as it’s definitely more effective. The main drawback for me is that with the door shut, the PureDry noticeably increases the temperature by 3-4 degrees over 8 hours. I would expect the temperature might rise even more if I were gone for those 8 hours and my AC was at 80 instead of 72. That being said, it certainly doesn’t generate as much heat and noise as a full-size dehumidifier, and any dehumidifier running in a small, enclosed closet space is going to heat things up. Overall, this is a well-built unit that can keep humidity levels in check in smaller spaces. It has nowhere near the power of a full-size, compressor-based dehumidifier, but it’s much smaller and quieter. I plan to set it on the 8-hour timer on days I’m in the office, which should keep humidity in my closet at reasonable readings while my AC is set to 80 to save energy. Definitely do your research about these thermoelectric dehumidifiers before you purchase one, but PureDry’s well-built unit and 5-year warranty should land it on your short list.

The Pure Enrichment - PureDry Deluxe 1.5L Dehumidifier - White is a tiny device that can help the environment of your home maintain a comfortable level of humidity. The process of reducing damp air through a suction process is simple and basic science. The Pure Enrichment - PureDry Deluxe 1.5L Dehumidifier - White uses this basic technique to keep my always damp bathroom a more comfortable atmosphere level so that my skin does not feel too moist or sticky from excess humidity. It also filters the air somewhat, with its constant suction process that helps air smell fresher. I can set the timer for four or eight hours or leave it on indefinitely. The extraction of moisture from the air helps my home avoid the possibility of mold or mildew build up. The Pure Enrichment - PureDry Deluxe 1.5L Dehumidifier - White is a great addition to my home.

So far the humidity has been pretty low in the house, I'm not sure if tat is due to the dehumidifier or not. Since a lot of fluid has not gathered in the chamber, I think it is more due to the weather than the hardware. Build wise, this is a very strong design. All the parts feel solid, nothing seems flimsy. I have had others where you waited for a piece to break, you could just tell what would break before it did. I don't get that sense from any of the pieces with this dehumidifier. There is a auto off when the tank gets to a certain level. There are two settings for different sized rooms. I would not say it is silent, but it is not disturbingly loud. Overall I am very happy with it. It is doing its job as expected. What more can you ask for?

I really wasn't expecting a whole lot from this small size 1.5L dehumidifier but am seriously surprised at how well it works. I have a storage room in my home and I had started to find corrosion spots showing up on metal areas and moisture damage. The room is about 13x15. After opening the box up I simply had to plug it in and although you can set the timer for 4 or 8 hours I decided to run it continuously. It is on the noisy side, especially if it would be in a room where you are sleeping, but that is not the case with me. Anyway the first couple days I really didn't notice much as it's been really hot here in our state and I've had the air conditioning on. Once the air was turned off however this little dehumidifier went straight to work! The room actually smells fresher too. Although I haven't had to empty the container yet, there is water in the tank and so it's doing its job. When you have it on constant when the water container is full it has an automatic shut off feature too. All in all I am quite pleased with the quality and definitely would recommend it if you have the need for one this size!

I put this dehumidifier in a small utility room that's very damp. It takes it four days to fill the 1.5 liter tank. It seems to me that an efficient unit would fill a 1.5 liter tank in 24 to 48 hours in a room as damp as my utility room. I don't have a humidity gauge but the room doesn't feel or smell any less damp and I've had the unit running 24x7 for the past week. I expected better performance. This unit says it's good for a room up to 160 sq ft, my utility room is half that size.

Picked this up to use in our living room. When it rains alot the one corner of the room smells musty. This little guy does the trick. Running on low for a few hours and the smell is gone. Ive used it for 3 hrs a day for 4 days and the bucket isnt full yet so thats good. Setup was easy. Just plug and play straight out of the box. No need for instructions. I would recommend this.

There's an annual swamp that develops under our house right under my closet. Water runs down the hill, into the crawl space under the house, and then sits there...swamp-like. The closet above the swamp ends up being damp and mildewy all year long. I plugged in the new dehumidifier and left it alone for a couple days, checked it today, and it's already collected a quarter inch of water! I wish I had gotten one of these sooner, before that swamp smell got into my sweet shirts. I'd recommend this to anyone suffering from too much water in their wardrobe.
