What like most about this compared to similar games on the 3DS is that only 1 system is needed. The Switch's screen size is not an issue, one major worry I had, and I love how easy it is to dock and play on the TV when we're at home. An excellent add to anyone's Switch library of games.

To be honest, I've never previously been aware of the "Puyo Puyo" series. From what I can gather there is a decently sizeable following, and the story is surprisingly lauded amongst this camp despite the game's nature as a puzzler, but I am again an outside to the franchise. Nevertheless, as a lifelong "Tetris" fan I have been able to easily pick up and play this game, and I won't deny that the "Puyo Puyo" elements are threatening to prove just as addictive as the classic "Tetris" formula I know so well. In addition to a bevy of instantly gratifying arcade modes, there is also a variety of off- and online competitive multiplayer options and even a 100-stage "Adventure Mode" that offers an incredible degree of challenge as you progress. I am hooked and cannot recommend this title highly enough to anyone seeking a solid puzzle game for their Switch -- and again, don't let unfamiliarity with either (or even both!) franchises stop you from giving it a try.

Great mashup of two puzzle franchises: Tetris and Puyo Puyo (similar to Dr Mario).

There has been many Tetris releases in the past that just doesn't live up to the original. This game on the other hand is spectacular. It's vibrant and fun. The PuyoPuyo is a nice touch, am I'm just beginning to get the hang of it. Multiplayer works great; no perceivable lag.

If you like Tetris, or puzzle games in general, Puyo Puyo Tetris is pretty much exactly what you would expect. It's got a fun combination of the two different games, but you can also play one or the other individually. Multiplayer is fun and fast, and there are tutorials available to teach you how to play one or the other.

this game is loaded with content besides just tetris. theres a ton of options and game modes. its a really well done game. great for single player, local and online multiplayer. its got just about everything youd want from a tetris game. better than wii tetris party.

Gave it as a gift for a friend who loves Tetris! She is really enjoying the extra challenge Puyo Puyo offers! Just as they say, easy to play, difficult to master! Great multiplayer and cute graphics!

Classic retro with a new age twist. What can I say. Fun for anyone in the household. And the multiplayer as well as online play is awesome. A very helpful tutoring mode for beginners as well. Very well put together title. Can play for hours unintentionally very easily.

Very entertaining game and glad it is now in the US and available on the switch. The version I bought which was the launch edition came with key chains; the key chains fell apart approximately a week after I had them. Very good game and would highly recommend.

I'm familiar with Tetris, but Puyo Puyo is a different beast to me. It was tough to learn how to play effectively and takes a lot of practice if you're not familiar with it. Combining the two is even more of a challenge. So I can't recommend this if you're not willing to put in the time, but if you are, it's great.

I miss the days when Tetris would run through my head hours after I had put the Gameboy down. With this game, it's back and I'm loving every second! I don't really get the Puyo Puyo gameplay but Tetris is good enough for me. Group game play is so much fun!

This is a fantastic game whether you're a fan of Tetris or Puyo Puyo, even moreso if you love both! Tons of modes and great local multiplayer action. The only drawback is that you can't play online with a friend locally using one Switch like in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

If you are a fan of puzzle type of games like Tetris, then you definitely need to have this game. Puyo-Puyo has a bigger learning curve than Tetris, but once you get Puyo-Puyo down you are going to be exposed to even deeper levels of gameplay and fun with this game.

I grew up with Tetris as well as various westernized versions of Puyo Puyo -- primarily Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine for Sega Genesis -- and this is a brilliant twist on the two series, with a multitude of modes, both single- and multiplayer, to last for years.

Purchased this as a gift for my daughter. She absolutely loves Puyo Puyo Tetris. She was playing the sample version for the longest time and was sooo happy when I got her the full version. Win!

Local split screen is a blast with friends and family. Tetris and Puyo are easy enough that anyone can have fun playing but also challenging to get couch competitions going. Great game to have for your switch

Tetris has given my kids hours of enjoyment. This is the best game for me too.
