Customers have good things to say about the smooth, entertaining, and fast gameplay of Puyo Puyo Tetris, along with its fun and engaging nature. The game's portability, especially on the Switch, is also frequently praised, as is its reasonable price point. However, some find the Puyo Puyo aspect challenging and difficult to master.

I love tetris. Played it back on the original Gameboy. This game definitely hits the spot. You'll get pretty much the exact same game mode you'd expect and then a ton more. The only negative aspect I will say is that if you are a little bit colorblind, you may have a difficult time playing the Puyo Puyo modes. The blobs of are all the same shape, the only thing to tell them apart is the color or the eyes on the blobs which makes it pretty bad for colorblind people. This isn't why I docked a star though. I always liked trying to get on the high score list in the old games, 1st, 2nd, 3rd but all I see in this one is 1st place score is kept for each mode. If that doesn't concern you then consider this a 5 star review for what it is.

This game is a lot of fun for both advanced and beginner players. Modes like Fusion and Party keep all skill levels on their toes with fun twists. The story mode is my personal favorite. The many characters introduced are wacky and charming, but don't take the story too seriously (because the story itself surely doesn't!) That's a good thing, as the game continues to offer light-hearted moments and challenging trials. Lots of content for a great price!
Many great moments and very well polished - 9/10

Played Tetris years ago and I still love it. PuyoPuyo is new to me but a lot of fun too. Great price for a 2-n-1 video game.

If you're like me, you got this game to be able to play Tetris on your new Switch. After that, you realize there's other puzzle modes to try. From there there's multiplayer madness with fusions of Tetris and the Japanese Puyo Puyo game (or for those of you that remember: Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine gameplay). For those that can accept how silly and stupid the concept sounds, there's an enjoyable story mode based on Tetris invading the world of Puyo Puyo. There's plenty of content here. For those on the edge on whether to purchase or not, I recommend giving the free demo on the eShop a shot.

Both tetris and puyo are fun games. All the different modes add a different dimension so it is not just playing for high score. Adventure mode is annoying if you're an adult but an option is provided to fast forward past the dialogue. Great way to kill time.

My girlfriend loves to play Tetris and puzzle games. This was very entertaining for the price and great as a weekend type game or when there's nothing else to do. Heated family competition.

Really addicting, and very similar to Pokemon puzzle league(such as where James said I'm feeling giddy to where these anime characters say things like fire bolt). Instead of Tetris Attack this is straight up Tetris or the weird puyo puyo(Which is pretty fun).
I didn't care much for the dialogue in the story mode but the individual levels are fun, especially the challenges of getting a certain score or beating an opponent in the time limit.
The multiplayer with 4 players is hilarious especially with people who think that they are good at Tetris. I recommend it as a good party game cause who doesn't like Tetris? I should mention puyo-puyo more but I have my biases.

This is a great puzzle game combining tetris and puyo puyo. You can play on the go and/or online against other players on the Switch. This is a great game a new take on an old favorite.

If you are looking for a Tetris game to play, especially online, then this is the copy for you. I have had no issues finding online matches. This game is far beyond the Ubisoft Tetris game in control and presentation. Great version of Tetris.

I'm not the best at puzzle games, but found PuyoPuyo Tetris to be super fun and addicting, even when I was losing! There are plenty of game modes that you can play solo and with less stress if casual gaming is more your speed. But the more competitive, battling modes are where the game really thrives. Fast paced multiplayer action is really cool. There's a great tutorial section to help you get up to speed on both Tetris and Puyo Puyo, as well as online videos that show case vital tips and tricks. So the tools are there if you are willing to learn. The ability to play against others in local multi or online is a great touch and a huge draw for me.

If you own a Switch and love Puyo Puyo and Tetris, stop reading this right now and pick this game up.
For the rest of you:
Do you have friends you enjoy playing with? Puyo Puyo has a large variety of modes, supporting 4 players with single joycons all available docked or portable.
Do you enjoy falling puzzles for long periods of time? Endless modes, story mode, and more await you, whether waiting for the bus or the delivery of your first-born, there are a variety of single player modes to keep you seeing falling bricks for days.
The launch Keychain set isn't the nicest thing I've ever gotten, but is a cute bonus.

Fun game but gets a little repetitive after a while. Bought this more for puyo puyo vs Tetris. Love Tetris lack a lot of modes of love just not Tetris I love from nes days. Puyo puyo is cute but very hard game.
