I was pleased at the response time by the store in receiving my order and notifying me it was in. When I got to the store, it took less than 10 minutes to pick up and leave. Great job folks.

The Pyle pre-amp works well to amplify the turntable signal going to my replacement receiver. I powered it via the AC block and have not tried the battery mode.

Return to of them, all kinds of static noise and popping sound , I called the Pyle Company and they said return it to Best Buy the both of them were defective did not get another one

The amp is a bit distorted when hooked up to my ampliffier. It could use a gain control so I can prevent the output from over-driving the amplifier it's feeding into.

really low cost item, there is a lot of fuzz and humming . will do the job but not great audio quality

*Not Happy... This product caused too much distortion with one of my amplifiers, and {barely} helped boost the phonograph signal with my other amplifier ~ it has more then acceptable distortion...

All I got out of it was a buzz. I tried many ways, but same result. Obviously defective. To hard to get and customer service just gave me the run around. This tore up my Confidence in Best Buy.

Left channel does not work. If I had read reviews from other sites, this is common. Stay away.

The Pyle PP555 made my turntable useful again. Came with a 12 VDC power supply. Very quiet, preamp works well. I like having all the jacks in the back for my setup. Blue "on" LED is very bright and stays on continuously when powered on, I just covered it with some tape. I wish it had a power switch, but it is easy enough to just unplug the cord from the 12V supply when not in use. It can also use a 9V battery, but it goes through those pretty quickly.

works great, no feedback or distortion, very good value if just hooking up to a system that was not meant to have a phono on it.

I am absolutely delighted to get my old turntable to play with my oldish receiver for such a small cost! (The receiver does not have phono-in jacks.) The pre-amp came with vague installation instructions so I went to the Pyle website to find something better. As I searched for that, the antivirus I use popped up messages about zapping something bad. After it popped up two of those I quickly exited the site and closed the browser. In case you need instructions: You need two white/red RCA cables. You might want them to be somewhat long because the pre-amp power cord is short. (1) Turntable output to pre-amp input. (2) Pre-amp output to any unused input on the receiver. You can use CD, DVD, or Aux input on the receiver. The pre-amp has a place to add a ground wire...now I need to find one of those :)

The pre-amp worked like a charm with my 40-year old Dual turntable with my Sony surround.
