Great Headband Upgrade for a More Balanced Feel
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the Meta Quest 3 and wanted to try out the Elite Strap for quicker adjustments and a more balanced fit. Even though I did not have any issues with the included headband for the Quest 3, I noticed the band was a little large for my 10-year-old son and would cause the goggles to put more pressure on his nose. The task of replacing the strap was pretty easy. There are directions on how to perform this task, but it isn’t really needed. I was a little nervous about pulling the clips apart, but this was designed to be taken apart easily for replacement or cleaning. To help guide the top strap back into the plastic holder, I used a flimsy piece of plastic. After getting the headset all back together, I noticed the headset felt more balanced and helped distribute the weight evenly on my head. I was also able to get a better fit on my 10-year-old son. The biggest improvement comparing this strap with what was included, was using the wheel on the back to quickly adjust the size of the headband. Since this is such a nice addition for this VR headset, I would recommend this as an add-on. It provided a more comfortable fit and was easy to install.

This should be the default head strap.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Elite Strap for the Meta Quest 3 should be the default head strap. Installation can be a bit tricky. And while removing the cloth strap it feels like you're going to break the plastic parts. The quality of the plastics is definitely a step up from the previous generation Meta Quest 2, as it's a bit thicker. But I think they need to rethink how you swap out head straps. After you've swapped out the head straps, you immediately notice how much more comfortable and easy to use the Elite Strap is. The back of the Elite Strap cups the back of your head so perfectly that it seems to take a good portion of the weight of the headset. And the adjustment knob makes it super easy to take off and put back on, or make fine adjustments. I found that in gaming I would turn the adjustment knob a little more to get the headset to be nice and tight. While watching YouTube or Netflix I would relax it, as my head isn't moving so much. The quality of the Elite Strap is great and I wish this was included with the Quest 3 If you're going to be doing any serious gaming with the Meta Quest 3, I highly recommend getting the Elite Strap.

A must have for your Quest 3
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Meta Quest 3 Elite strap is an essential upgrade from the original strap that comes with the system. The instructions were clear and concise, and it only took a few minutes to switch out the old strap and put the Elite strap on the Quest. The tricky part was getting the black plastic piece that forms to your face off the Quest as it felt like I might break it if I pull too hard. But I was able to get it off safely and installed the strap and away I went! The dial in the back is adjustable and allows you to secure it to your head better than the cloth strap in my opinion. The black plastic piece on the back fits to your head very well and I never felt like it was going to fall off. I would definitely recommend this strap if you’re going to be using the Quest for any of the workout apps as it feels more snug and secure on your head. Frankly I would buy it even if you aren't going to be using the workout app as it just feels like a much safer alternative to the cloth strap that comes with the Quest.

Lacks adjustment for a small person
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking forward to using this on my new quest but it was way to large. It would not close down enough in order to use it. I would of just went flying off of my head. I had to return it.

Extra Sturdy Fit
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Quest 3 Elite Strap might not seem like a necessity if you are using your Quest 3 for minimal activity apps and games, but if you are using the Quest 3 for exercise or like very active games than you are going to want to get this additional strap. It offers so much more stability over the stretchy included straps. The included strap just slips over your head and only has the top velcroed strap to use for adjusting the fit. It is light and does accommodate a lot of different hair styles but it lakes the stability and confidence one needs for the more active apps and games out there. The Elite strap uses a thick plastic band that goes around the sides and back of the Quest 3. The Straps pop on and off the sides of the unit, and it only takes a couple minute to change out the straps. No special tools are needed for any purpose during the swap out. The top band is a quality fabric strap with a rubber coated velcro hook end. The end slides right into the top slot above the nose bridge on the Quest 3 and is quickly returned by the contour of the slot. At the back of the strap is a rubber cradle that helps to further secure the Quest 3 around your head. It is a somewhat thick but soft rubber and seems very sturdy. At the outside back of the strap is a dial. This dial expands the strap when turned counter clockwise and contracts the strap when turned clockwise. When you turn it clockwise, it clicks as it ratchets into place, providing the most secure fit you are going to get with one of these VR headsets. Overall the quality is great and the tighter more secure feeling works out great for the higher intensity games and apps.

2 cents on why it shouldn't SNAP
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My family is a heavy VR family and therefore I bought not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4... Quest 2 headset... And all 4 headset has you guessed it none other than the Elite Strap! If you look up Elite Strap on forums, you might find tons of post about it's breakage, while this is true in it's early days. Heck I myself even had 3 break on me!!! It was no longer the case after they fixed the issue. All 4 of my Elite Strap for Quest 2 hasn't broke for over a year, and this is from someone minimum average at least 1 hour with Quest 2 on per day. Now I did pick up a Kiwi strap down the line, and I found it to be much more comfortable for media consumption but Elite Strap provided a tighter fit. Which I preferred because most of the time I use the headset to workout. Anyhow, picked up (2) Elite Strap for the (2) headset I purchased, and both are exactly as expected. Completely utterly blows the default strap out of the water. Oh yeah fyi if you own a Quest 2 and wonder if it's strap going to fit Quest 3. Unfortunately they don't. Hope this review is helpful, cheers and rock on.

Just nice to have
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Elite Strap is partly a plastic mechanical strap that opens and closes using a rotating knob at the back. Installation was tricky and the included instruction wasn’t all that helpful and scary at the same time. The instruction states to twist the strap covering to dislodge it from the headset. That scares me as it is an expensive piece of electronics that I do not want to break. Instead, I found that carefully “lifting” (or prying?) the strap off is better, as it is held by soft tabs. Once installation is done, all that’s left is to fit the headset to your head and adjust the top strap accordingly. I find that as soon as I got a good fit for the top strap, I can leave it as is. By the time the next session comes around, you only need to turn the knob to get it fitted in again. The back head support is gentle enough to be comfortable. And I find that it improves the overall comfortability, but only by a small amount. I personally do not feel it is necessary or required to get it. It’s a small upgrade for the sake of comfortability. I guess that’s why they call it an “Elite Strap.” So is it worth it? In all honesty, I don’t know. Would I recommend it? I’m going to err on the side of caution and say no. It’s just a nice thing to have and isn’t really required or necessary unless you want your Quest 3 completely decked out. Verdict: Pass

Much better than the standard strap
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a great accessory, but why this isn’t included as the standard strap is a mystery to me. That said, it is a necessity if you plan on playing in comfort. The ergonomics of the adjustable back piece are worth the price alone. The level of comfort and crown fatigue is dramatically better when using an elite strap. It is easy to install and tightening via the dial on the back is a nice touch. The tightening mechanism kind of reminds me of the BOA fit system that I have on my snowboarding boots. You turn the dial clockwise to tighten / decrease the size and counterclockwise to loosen / increase the size of the strap. It would be awesome if (like the BOA system) you could simply push the dial in to loosen the strap before removing the headset. Once you get it installed and sized to your head, you don’t really need to fuss with it any more. It fits inside the dedicated Quest 3 case perfectly as well, so the entire ecosystem has been thought out well. There is also an Elite strap that has a battery for longer playtime. I can see charging extra for that, but again, I would still prefer this version (without the battery) to be standard equipment on all Quest bundles.

Must have accessory - great comfort.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Meta - Quest 3 Elite Strap: I really like the Elite Strap, it is easy to replace the standard strap with this unit. The strap is good looking, comfortable and the design helps to make a good fit on your head. It provides a fit that counters the weight of the lens apparatus. The top strap allows for more distribution of weight across the top of your head as well as additional support. Thus allowing for a more comfortable experience and preventing the distraction associated with a headset on your immersion. The ease of this of this add-on to quickly adjust the headband to fit multiple users and to make it quick and easy to adjust made it an extremely useful upgrade. The dial , which is the adjusting mechanism makes it easy to reduce the size of the Meta Quest 3 so that it is easily stored. Then when you go to put it on - dial out, slip on and adjust the fit. This is a great upgrade the only thing that I could suggest is to make a battery pack to slip onto it so that your time with the Meta Quest is extended with out using a cable.

Why isn't this stock?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I appreciate the videos on how to attach this elite strap, but the top strap doesn't easily thread through it as the video suggests! The trick is to bend the tip of the strap before! Then it will easily bend as you put it through the loop. The Elite Strap turns the Meta Quest 3 into the PSVR2's very well done comfort strap. The back has a dial for tightening, just like the PSVR2, but unlike the PSVR2, you also need to unwind it to take it off. The PSVR2 will unwind itself as you pull the strap apart. This also means, for friends with bigger heads, you have to unwind to expand it long enough to fit over heads. This should also be more comfortable for users that wear glasses, but since the Quest 3 screens are already clear (as opposed to the PSVR2), I don't even have to wear my +1 glasses. For how much the Quest 3 is, this should be included, and the stock strap should have never exist. The Elite Strap makes being in the Quest 3 a lot more comfortable for long sessions, especially if you're using it for work like I am!

You should buy this too!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're planning on purchasing a headset then you definitely need to buy this as well! The strap that comes with a headset it's ok, but believe me when I say that this makes a huge difference, and I'm not even exaggerating! If you can afford the headset that comes with a battery, you're probably better off getting that instead. My opinion, it's like night and day from the original strap that comes with a headset, to this one here. It took me a little while to figure out how to pop the other one off and pop this one on. When I first looked at it I figured that you were pop it off by the tabs on either side of the headset, but every time I tug at it a little bit, it felt like I was going to break it. So just to make sure, I went online to watch a few videos to make sure I was doing it the correct way. I love how once you get everything connected how you can turn a little knob in the back to adjust how tightly it fits around your face. It's a nice little accessory to have if you ask me.

Noticeable improved to the old Elite strap
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Elite strap for the previous Quest 2 has a reputation for not being the most sturdy or long-lasting strap, causing many Quest 2 users to look to 3rd party straps. So far, this new Elite strap for the Quest 3 has worked flawlessly. Installation was a breeze, and it attached must the same way that the Quest 2 strap did. Installing this new Elite strap still provides easy access to the headphone and USB-C ports for charging and audio. The biggest pros of this strap are it's overall stability and comfort, as well as ease of use. I can put on my headset and within seconds get it centered on my head and tightened comfortably. I have had a few people try this headset as well, and it is a quick and easy process to get the head strap adjusted for different sizes. It's a quick and easy way that allows multiple people to use the same headset without messing with a ton of adjustments or settings. This new Elite strap, along with the slimmer Quest 3, feel a lot more balanced and comfortable on my head that the Quest 2 did. Overall I would recommend this strap for anyone looking for additional comfort or stability while enjoying VR in their new Quest 3 headset.

Top notch upgrade to the Meta Quest 3
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have a Meta Quest 3, you DEFINITELY want to get this upgrade. Includes a battery pack at the rear that extends your gaming times to double the Quest 3 headset alone. Open port/hole in the temple should you decide to use wired earbuds or over the ear headphones. Includes a USBC charging cable. Easy dial adjustment to get the exact fit for you. The ratchet action hold whatever adjustment you like. This is also a great strap for multiple players of varying head sizes. Looks to be able to fit everyone from a pre-teeen to xl heads. It's comfortable, much more so than the standard head strap included with the Quest 3. As a Bald guy, I found this strap to be extremely comfortable. The rear cradle holds your head perfectly. Since you don't really have straps running down the side of your head, there's more airflow to keep you cool. With the elite strap, you can play active games without the fear of the headset coming loose, sliding around or falling off. With games like Beat Saber, or intense workout games this strap holds the headset snug, yet confidence inspiring.

Nice and snug!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Meta Quest 3 Elite strap is a great accessory to go along with your new Quest 3 headset. It is a great option if you want more adjustability and comfort. Installing the strap isn’t too tricky but I recommend reading over the instructions first. You have to pry the existing strap in a certain way and remove the facial interface so just be careful. The comfort of the elite strap is pretty good. The best part of the strap is obviously the fact that you can cinch it down with the adjustment wheel and make it nice and snug. The strap is more robust than the stock one, too. After using both, I can say the elite strap is much more comfortable but I wouldn’t say the upgrade is a must. The strap that comes with the Quest 3 works well and is comfortable also. It doesn’t feel nearly as snug and secure but it works well enough. I think the best upgrade would be the elite strap with the battery. Overall the elite strap is excellent and very comfortable. I’d recommend looking into all the available straps and choose which one suits your needs.
