Updated Quicken because my version from 3 years ago was starting to have issues. New version runs well and has fixed bugs I was experiencing. Not sure I like or fully understand the 2 years. Will it just stop working?

Have been a Quicken user for household and family finances for decades. Forced by Quicken to move to this new subscription format, and considered alternatives. Why bother? It works well and I've had it set up the way I want it for years, so it all transferred in seamlessly. This version seems to be very stable and has all the features I need - and then some.

I got this as it was on sale, but it is exactly like 2017. I also thought that bill payment would be an option, but looking at it now it only shows you bills but you need to pay $9.99 a month to pay from quicken. I'm going to see if I can actually use their 30 day money back guarantee and go back to 2017. If you have an older version, this is not worth the upgrade. If you're looking for new software to manage money, this might work, but have a look around as quicken just keeps getting worse.

This came as a cd but also had a code so I could download. Good thing since my laptop doesn't have a cd drive. Ran into an issue with the Inuit TurboTax program. Bought the cd only to find no code for Internet download. Hey Intuit, how about it? Otherwise the Quicken works well. I can easily download my bank account and Quicken enters all the transactions. All I have to do is approve the entries. Boom.

What is it I don't like about Quicken 2018? 1. The subscription plan, instead of one-time purchase price which got you the product "forever." I'm not sure if the program quits working at the end of the subscription or only prevents one from downloading info. If the latter, I can live with it. 2. I found "Help" to be VERY un-helpful! I wanted to enter or update recurring transactions. I couldn't find it in the Help section. I was able to find enough info through Google to solve my problem. I wasted about an hour trying to do what should have taken less than five minutes. **** What do I like? Well, I won't say that I "like" it but it does do what one expects of an accounting system: does the math, prepares reports (whose filing system could be improved!), etc. But one expects all that so there's no reason to get excited simply because it does what you bought it to do. I recommend this to friends with reservations. I recommend it only because I am not aware of another product which does anything closer to what I want than Quicken. I'd be thrilled to go to my computer some day and learn that there was an Open Source program which was close to Quicken!

It has taken some time but he Mac version of Quicken is finally getting closer to the PC version I was used to years ago with some modern upgrades. Four stars as we are now bond to a subscription as is becoming the norm for everything now. On a positive they have confirmed that if your subscription runs out you can still access the file on your local computer and manually enter items if you need going forward. You just loose the automatic downloading of your financial info and would not be able to see your data on mobile devices without the subscription being active.

I started using Quicken in 1989 and have loved it all this time. When the latest version (Quicken Deluxe 2018) came out, I knew I wanted it. Quicken works with my bank and it provides me with a quick and easy way to make certain that my accounts are ALWAYS reconciled everyday. I cannot imagine banking without Quicken.

I have used QuickBooks for many, many years for our business and rentals we have. Since we closed the business, I thought Quicken might be better, less cost and quicker. Just the same as QB but without the business part. Nope! Not even close. I should have just kept my QB and paid the higher price for upgrades. For someone just learning to use an accounting program it’s good but as they say “can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

I have used Quicken products for many years, but needed to upgrade to a version that is supported. So, we have the 2018.

I like Quicken for managing my finances. I do not like the new version where you have to pay for a subscription yearly.

I am well acquainted with Quicken so I didn't need to learn how to use it. Would be easy to learn for the newbie.

Purchased this product after I was forced to upgrade due to lack of support on Quicken Deluxe 2014. Can't say I'm happy with the new subscription model, but BB has sales that can make it more palatable. The 2018 version is also a little buggy. All in all, it's better than the competition but not that great.

I can't imagine using another product for keeping financial records. Began using Quicken with DOS eons ago, but currently can, in an instant, pull up records going back to 1997 for both business and personal accounts. It's a fabulous product!

Categories are not appropriate for my use but does load in from my checking account. Easy to update and edit.

Always been a quicken user, lacks some of the connections I thought would be there. But overall works well.

I have been a Quicken user for many years now and use it on a daily basis. I find it extremely useful in tracking my banking (two different banks) and it is easy to set up and use. I would give it 5 stars except for one reason - it is now a subscription service. Not my preference, but that is becoming more and more common in the software business.

Easy to set up. All information is downloaded from my banks. Categories can be customized. Great tool for tracking my expenses in as much detail or as little as I want. I just have to take my reports to my accountant at tax time.

One step download really saves work for keeping multiple accounts up to date.

I've been using Quicken for a few years now after MS Money was discontinued. I must say that this is book keeping made with ease! Great product that handles all my personal and business needs at a great price!

I download my bank transactions directly into this software and classify each expenses. Balances your checkbook on the fly and end of year reports are great for tax prep.
