Our irrigation/landscaping contractor recommended this Rachio 3, 8-station controller. A friend has a Generation 2, and he gives it high praise. Easy setup. With the Rachio app and your smartphone, you control and monitor everything. Pair Rachio with Apple HomeKit, Amazon echo, Nest or Google Assistant to control sprinklers with your voice. Features a wireless flow meter for leak detection. Weather Intelligence updates use local forecasts to adjust the schedule. Too many other features to list here. We are very happy with our Rachio 3.

Overall I’ve enjoyed having this however it hasn’t solved the main issue I bought it for. I bought it as hopefully helping out with a hammering problem but I’m still having that problem. My water bill has also gone up while using it. That being said the app on my phone is very convenient and overall the product works well.

Wanted a unit that can handle up to multipal zones, easy to label, set up schedules and run time all from an app.

We are slowly changing out our appliances and starting to change over to a smart home. When we ran across the Rachio, we were super excited to try it out so we didn't have to keep going out to the garage to make changes due to the weather. It was really easy to install and does exactly what it says it does. It started to rain and get windy the past couple days and it adjusted itself accordingly. One of the best purchases we've made. This product is amazing. It has several different features to customize to your liking. If your zones are separated by category such as one zone for lawn and another for flower beds it’s even better. I have the schedule fixed at the moment because I have trust issues with letting it water according the the weather forecast and ground saturation etc. Eventually, I’ll try it. Great convenience to make changes or start watering from the couch. lol

My house runs on IoT devices. I can now ask Alexa to start my sprinkler system. But best of all, this is (almost) completely auto-pilot. I input my landscape zones, map out my zones, provide details of sprinkler placement, type of sprinkler and location. This device takes care of the rest! If it forecasts rain in the next 24hrs, it skips or moves the water schedule. You have the ultimate flexibility!

This sprinkler controller is amazing. Allows you to plot out your yard with the types of nozzles you have to maximize the watering schedule. Pulls weather data and everything else you expect a sprinkler system in 2022 to do. Will auto skip watering when temps drop too low. Just an all-around great purchase.

This Rachio Sprinkler Controller is great!. It is super easy to install and easy to use. Adjustments to watering times and durations are easy to do on the app. It can also make adjustments automatically. For example, to have the watering end at sunrise or to skip watering based on weather conditions. If you are installing outdoors, don't forget to get the outdoor enclosure for it.

If you have a new phone... the easiest way to set it up is to use an old phone. For some reason the set up would not work with my IPhone 11 plus. So I ended up downloading the app on an older phone and going through the set up there. After that it the app on my iPhone worked great. I really enjoy this product and the ease of use after that hiccup.

Rachio is amazing, very easy to install and program, been working great for us.

Great wireless sprinkler system controller. Easy to replace your old wired system. Took only 10 minutes to install the Rachio. I replaced a Hunter system controller that worked well - but it wasn’t compatible with WiFi and controllable with phone like Rachio. It is VERY convenient for adjusting and repairing heads, and if you blow out your system yourself before Winter, it makes that a ton easier too!

This was very easy to set up (if you already have all the sprinkler wires where they need to be). The app has a lot of features and settings that you can customize or that are already suggested for your area, zip code, and plant type. The WiFi feature is nice for being able to check on it, but it’s basically all set up to water whenever it needs it based on weather anyway.

First of all,I am a first time home owner and had never maintained a lawn before. I bought this in hopes to skip over the scheduling water dates and times a focus more on mowing and fertilizer. When I first installed the Rachio, I picked the flex monthly schedule because it would do the scheduling automatically. After a couple hiccups, watering the parking strip for 45 minutes at a time, I figured out the fine tuning I could do in the settings. Since then this thing has been awesome. Controlling it from my phone is pretty sweet and each month Rachio automatically adjusts times and frequency based on historical data for that particular month. I am glad I bought this product and the rebate my country offered me made this decision a no brainier.

I had a Rainbird from about 2000. Very manual and buried in the garage. Tough to get to. VERY easy change over with perfect results. No longer a problem that the unit is far in the corner behind stuff that has to be moved. Instead everything is managable thru the app! The fact it considers the weather pattern is amazing!

I've owned two of these now. Bought one for my previous house and loved it. I sold it with the house and was sad to let it go. My new house was a new construction and came with a new top of the line controller. There is no comparison to the Ranchio, so I bought another one for my new house. This system is the smartest sprinkler system on the market, and saves a ton of money.
