Very pleased with operation. Starts out picking up false signals but very quickly starts blocking on your normal routes.

Switched from a uniden r3. I absolutely love this unit. It’s nice because I can use it in my 2024 Chevy 2500 that doesn’t have a 12v cigarette plug

I've used it for almost a year now and it works so good. Its detected cops over a mile away in the city before. On the open highway it can reach even farther. I'm buying one for each car in my collection now.

TLDR; GPS auto-lockouts, low speed filtering vastly reduce your false alerts along daily routes. Firmware updates provide radar improvements as well as the latest red light and speed camera databases. OLED display is beautiful and customizable. Range, lots of it. I won't go into great detail about the specs as you can research that on your own. To be honest, I’m new to this tech space (forgive me if I sound amateurish in this review) and I'd rather tell you about my firsthand experience with the DS1. First and foremost, K band is everywhere as it has been a vast majority of my detections. Some are obvious like those "Your Speed" radars that show your actual mph while your driving by. For the rest, I have no clue. I’m learning more about BSM being more prevalent these days on newer vehicles, and this can be annoying to radar detectors. The DS1 tries to mitigate a lot of this with auto lockouts and low speed filtering. Because of its GPS capability, the DS1 will remember annoying locations on your route and ignore them. You'll get a visual-only notification of the K band being received with auto lockout turned on for that location. You’ll still get a brief notification of the lockout, but that can be turned off if preferred. There is also the ability to manually lockout locations with the mute button that should be easily within reach. As mentioned above, the DS1 has the ability to mute notifications during low speed driving. Defaulted to 15mph, K, X and MRCD/T bands are simply ignored at these speeds, and you can certainly customize the speed thresholds for each as well. Speaking of customization, there is a ton of it with this unit, starting with the basic stuff like changing the color and tone based on the alert being given. You can even ignore a particular band by simply turning off that band. There are various band settings that I won’t really mess with yet as I learn more about my own daily drive and what’s around me. I let the environment dictate how I should customize the unit as there is really no one-stop-shop when it comes to customization. I held off as long as I could to write this review as I could not find a legitimate patrol car my first few days of owning the DS1. Bring on the Ka band! Alas, my moment came when the Ka notification came on while on the freeway, with the distinctive Ka alert slowly increasing in succession. I could not see what I assumed was a patrol car anywhere with all the other vehicles around me, but thanks to the DS1, I knew it was there and I simply lowered my speed. About a minute later, I finally saw the highway patrol vehicle in the act of pulling over someone for speeding. Poor Dodge Challenger… got caught flexing its muscle. I did wonder a lot about where the patrol vehicle was after the fact as there are no indicators showing target direction, but I think the range is so good on this that all I needed to worry about was reducing my speed, and there was plenty of time to do that. It’s only been a week and now I can’t see myself driving without this anywhere. I'm already purchasing extra magnetic mounts for my other vehicles as it is super easy to move from car to car. I can’t believe I went this long without owning a radar detector to begin with. I’ve only been able to detect K and Ka bands in my area, but it’s reassuring to know that it can do more. Ultimately, the Radenso DS1 has set an example of how radar detectors should perform. The Radenso DS1 comes with a coiled power cord with mute button, a carrying case and suction mount.

I got it on sell price thinking this would be a great upgrade from my r7. Man was i wrong 2 days in and almost pull over twice my maryland state police becuase the dector only alerts me when im right on top of them and then i look like a idiot slaming on my brakes. Picks up most delaware cops fine. Gonna return just pay the extra money for the r8.
