Recently took a 1000 trip and this GPS kept us away from detours and traffic jams! Love the location of gas and prices! Easy to locate restaurants and rest stops.

The GPS is right on and very convenient. Voice commands makes it so you are hands free.

It's ok but not worth $300. The gps does not zoom big enough.

This GPS is by far the most versatile I have ever used. It has so many extra functions than that of other ones on the market. It is touch screen, has lifetime map updates, and is Bluetooth capable to pair it with your smartphone. It also has an FM transmitter for older vehicles that lack an auxiliary port. The transmitter works well but there is still feedback that is audible when no music is playing. You can make and receive phone calls and text messages as well. Another cool feature is the dash camera. There is a camera on the back of the unit that can record your trip. All in all, if your looking to make your vehicle a little smarter and add to your hands free options, this is the GPS for you!

The idea is great! But, does not do what it claims to do. The texting didn't work- stuck on "how can Google help you?". All of the ads didn't show wires all over my dashboard. There are 3 wires to hook up. A mess! Maps were so out of date. The place I searched for was a college that has been there over 20 years! NOT found! Couldn't get GPS to even show my location. It wanted me to hook to WiFi , truth- I don't have WiFi in my car. Not happy with product.

Well thought out... lots of features! Even has a optional back-up camera and tire pressure monitoring!

My daughter was moving out state and needed to find her way around. I tell you this thing is great.

Good unit but a little pricey, looks nice installed in the vehicle.

Garmin road assist is the most effective I've ever seen. Has every feature you could imagine

This unit is so heavy that the mount can barely support it. It wouldn't sync with the Rand Mcnally backup cam so i returned the unit.

This is a nice low end alternative to an in-dash system & the add-ons are top caliber

BETTER THAN THE GPS IN YOUR CAR ONCE YOU USE THIS YOU WILL NEVER USE YOUR VEHICLE GPS

The Overdryve comes nicely packaged with a 7-inch tablet, car charger, A/C wall charger, smart mount, suction cup bracket, dash mount disk, FM transmitter/receiver antenna, auxiliary device cable and anti-glare screen protector. The tablet is a nice size, feels solidly built and has a nice, bright and clear 1280x800 resolution IPS screen and comes with 32GB of storage. All of the device specs can be found in the product details. Going in, I had quite a few reservations about this device, but after spending some time using the Overdryve, I came away more impressed than I thought I would be. While I feel everyone can benefit from this device and platform, it would seem to have the most utility for those that do not already have built in GPS and computer systems in their current vehicle. That said, it ticks all the boxes one looks for in these kinds of devices: Turn by turn directions/navigation. I found this to work great with the Rand McNally data being accurate across the board. Having traffic, as well as weather and live data on a large 7-inch screen proved to be quite helpful both for ease of use and safety. Hands-free communication. This worked as expected. I was able to handle both phone calls as well as text messages without issue. Music playback through the car’s audio system. You can do this using a cable, through the FM radio or by streaming by connecting to the internet using a Bluetooth-connected smartphone as a hot spot. In my experience, the cable option sounded quite good and best of all the provided options I tired (I did not use the streaming option). While the FM option did not impress me, it at least is an option for those who need to take that route. A camera that acts as dashcam. When the unit is mounted, the forward-facing video camera gives the car a dashboard camera. While it does a “good” and capable job, I found the frame rate to be lacking, and while it worked well in daylight and in lit areas at night, I found that other night performance struggled. That said, a nice feature. A well thought out and performing mounting system. Being a person who has struggled with various mounts throughout the years, I found this to be a strength of the Overdryve. It uses a two-piece system, in which there is a bracket that stays mounted in the car and holds all the cables (which are plugged in to it) and the Overdryve unit itself which attaches to that bracket via magnets. The connections are made through contacts on the back. No multiple cables to plug in each and every time. The magnets are very strong and securely hold the unit in place, but also allow for easy and quick removal of the tablet itself when leaving the car. You can take the tablet with you and use it (yet another benefit of the product, although somewhat limited), you do not have to worry about theft and there is no need to continually adjust the unit as the secured bracket means a consistent mount. I do feel I should spend a brief moment on some options that are available to the platform, despite the fact they are not included with the unit itself, but as separate products that are used in conjunction with this unit. Rand McNally is also offering a Wireless Backup Camera, a Tire Pressure (and Temperature) Monitoring System, and a Crescent Bean Bag Dash Pad. I do not have any experience with these options, but I feel they add some utility to the Overdryve platform and are worth a mention. To sum up my thoughts, I think this is a great all-in-one system with a nice and full set of features and a reputable name behind it. As I mentioned earlier, I think this device would be best for people whose cars do not have in-dash navigation or other smart systems and are looking for a more robust set of dedicated features than a phone can provide.

We got this to update the 2007 PT convertible. It is perfect for what we needed.

Needs better viewing when it gets dark with lots of lights. But good otherwise

This was a great device but it was difficult for me to work with it.
