Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the tire pressure monitoring system's ability to accurately monitor tire pressure and its ease of use. They appreciate that it is easy to use and reasonably priced. However, some customers have expressed concerns about compatibility issues, specifically that the system requires an expensive main system to function.

There are lots of cheap TPMS units out there in the market but this one feels solid. I was stuck between ZUS nonda tpms and this one. Given both products are rated highly for sturdyness to withstand the elements and it's low price point, this one was a logical choice. I would have given it a 5 star had the instruction said that you had to drive the car for the devices to register the PSI with the app. I came to that conclusion on my own but we cannot assume that all consumers are aware of this fact. Need to update the instructions to reflect this info.

Pressure readings seem to be accurate. One annoying issue is the inability to silence the physical unit permanently. It will sound for the initial low pressure reading. You can then silence it for a while, but the sound will come back.

Bought it for my 2003 Silverado. Took literally 5 minutes to put it on. Has to drive about a mile to get it to read and show up on my phone but since no problems have occurred.

Awful product, buggy the entire time

Horrible product from day 1. Install didnt work until the 5th try with syncing with phone, unscrewing all of the sensors, installing again, restarting app, etc. Technical support was a joke and no help at all. Since install, the alarm goes off all the time when driving in the cold, readings were way off. Then i noticed the sensors were causing air to very slowly leak out even though they were installed tightly. I used to top up my tires every 6 months, and ive had to do it 3 time in the last 2 months. Final straw was when i went to remove the last time, i could not get the front two off. Took me a half hour and ended up having to semi damage the tire stem to remove. They had corroded and become stuck. STAY AWAY. I never write reviews and i am so frustrated with these things i made an exception

I bought two sets, hoping to monitor the tires on both my truck and travel trailer (8 total). I figured I could monitor only 4 at a time. I also thought the bluetooth receiver would have to be fairly close (within 20 feet or so) to the tire sensors, so I had planned to leave the receiver for the trailer tires in the trailer, toward the front, so that the app on my phone (in the cab of the truck) would be able to communicate with it. And, I was HOPING that I would be able to easily switch from one bluetooth receiver to the other on the phone app. As it turns out, it's much simpler than that. Yes, the app will monitor only one bluetooth receiver (4 tires) at a time (which is fine). But, a bluetooth receiver in the cab has no problem connecting with tire sensors on the camper (about 30 feet away). So, with the app running on my phone, I turn on either bluetooth receiver to monitor one set of tires. When I want to monitor the other set, I simply turn the receiver for those tires on, and the other off. Within a minute the app connects to the receiver that is now on and gives me the new readings. I can switch between them as often as I want. (Each receiver "knows" which 4 tire sensors "belong" to it.) I suppose there probably are systems available for monitoring 8 tires at a time. I didn't check. The Rand McNally system was so reasonably priced that I purchased 2, hoping it would meet my needs. I am very satisfied. As a side note, I did not use the lock nuts on the tire sensors, since so many reviewers stated that they were very difficult to remove. Hopefully no one will decide to steal the sensors. If someone does, I'll probably just buy another Rand McNally system. That expense is small compared to the grief others have evidently gone through when they could not remove a sensor because of the lock nut.

Beeps when battery going low - no way to stop the beep/turn it off. Haven't had a flat tire to know how well it works yet, but otherwise seems good

The product monitors the tire pressure very well. The only problem is the safety nut installed before the valve rusted or was affected by brake dust making the valves impossible to remove. I even brought the car to a tire shop, and they to were unable to remove the valve with various tools. I would buy the product again but not install the safety nut. NOTE: RAND MCNALLY's Customer Service was EXCELLENT!!! They listened to the problem, I sent them pictures, and the promptly mailed out replacements. In a world of many like products, companies that stand behind theirs are provide excellent customer support are few and far between. I would definitely buy something Rand McNally manufacturers without hesitation based on the customer service and desire to please their customers!

easy setup. works right most of the time. Bluetooth connection seems good. One of the sensor gives false reading and sets off warning occasionally. If you have to do a reset you have to remove all the sensors and start over. For a budget person or some peace of mind its ok for around town use. I dont think i would rely on this system for a long road trip.

Bought on Deal of the Day, although I was not looking for this type of product. But I have a 99 Trans Am with older tires and I am always measuring the tire pressure when take it out on weekends. This was easy to install on the car, the app was easy to install and set up, and most important t monitors all my tires. You could see the tire pressure rise from when it is cold to warming up. I highly recommend this for cars that do not have TMS.

Great interface with iPhone, but my car has lower PSI ratings than the Minimums for the TMPS, so in cold weather it goes into alarm. It also mutes the sound playing on my iPhone, when you open the app.

Great little system. Works but doesn't work. It'll alert you when it senses your pressure is low, but what is the point if the sensors are corroded onto the tire stems making it impossible to inflate your tires? On top of that, the cost to get these little pieces of junk off will probably cost more than the sensors themselves or hours trying to dremel/hacksawing them off yourself hoping you don't damage the threads also at the same time, completely destroying the sensors. I've tried PB blaster, WD40, pliers, you name it. They're simply forever stuck I bought these for $100 and it has only been 10 months. Customer support also has NO solution and offers no help. Definitely the worst purchase I've made for my vehicle.
