I had been interested in a glass pad for awhile now but was hesitant to order online due to shipping worries and the extra steps to return it if I didn’t end up liking it. I didn’t know Best Buy even started carrying this model until I happened to stumble across it while in store looking for something else and decided to pick it up.
Let me tell you, I am sure glad I stumbled upon this. By far the best mouse pad I have owned. The glide is effortless and smooth with minimal initial friction. If you live in a humid place or sweat a lot I’d recommend either wearing a long sleeve shirt or getting a compression sleeve to wear on your forearm because while the mouse glides smoothly if it’s humid or your even slightly sweaty your arm can kinda stick to the glass.
Pro’s:
Premium material and feel
Excellent for tracking and almost no friction
Extremely fast pad
Con’s:
Can get sticky in humid places or sweaty people.

Good mouse pad, I've been looking for one for a while. I even thought about buying one called SKYpad, but I don't like to wait.
This Razer mouse pad is currently working well and functioning correctly. I really like it, and that's why I recommend it. It would be even better if it were a bit cheaper.

As a seasoned gamer, I have always sought out peripherals that enhance my gaming experience. When I was offered the Razer Atlas Glass Mouse Mat for review, I thought its unique design and improved precision and control could give me an edge in my gaming. After putting it to the test, I can confidently say that this mouse mat has exceeded my expectations.
The Razer Atlas Glass Mouse Mat sports a sleek and minimalistic design, which immediately caught my eye. The impact resistant tempered glass surface provides a premium look and feel, adding a touch of elegance to my gaming setup. The mat is large enough for both low and high DPI mouse movements. The smooth edges and anti-slip base ensure it stays firmly in place during intense gaming sessions. The surface is polished allowing ease of mouse movements and is micro etched with 2um texturing to aid in ultra accurate optical mouse tracking.
The advantage of the Atlas Glass Mouse Mat is its exceptional precision due to the micro etching. The glass surface is smooth, allowing the mouse to glide effortlessly and track every movement. The enhanced tracking and ease of mouse movement gives you a competitive edge in fast-paced games. Reduced mousing effort has another benefit, less wrist and arm fatigue, hello marathon gaming sessions!
This thing is probably the last mousing surface you will ever buy, it's surface is extremely durable and wear resistant. Cleaning only requires a damp cloth.
This cool looking mousing surface with its game elevating features is a must have addition to your gaming setup. Gear up and game on!

Awesome mouse pad

This mouse pad is da bomb. It's freaking awesome. The only negative i could say and it's a personal negative is it would be super cool if they were able to install LED'S inside the glass because it would look just awesome because of the way glass would distort the colors. So the feel as you run your mouse across the glass is terrific because you are running the mouse across the smoothest material you can. A normal mouse pad is made of a type of material that gives friction were glass does not. The responsiveness is great with the mouse. There are two sizes the bigger one like i got and one that's more along the size of a what you would think of a normal mouse pad size. The big one like i got is very big and setting it up it states in the instructions not to set stuff across over the top of the mouse pad and it could be a problem in some cases if the lags on your monitor angle out across the mouse pad area. The quality is awmazine as in the build quality. It looks great. I had my son give it a try because he is brutally honest with his opinions and he absolutely loved it. So all in all if your looking for an amazing mouse pad that also looks sweet look no further it's rite here.

Overall I think this mouse pad is great. My mouse glides across it like silk and the texture feels smooth.
One thing that's important to note however is the size. It's very large. Personally I don't know why anyone needs a mouse pad that large or how much flailing they do with the mouse but I’m guessing there’s a target audience for this or they wouldn’t have made it. I knew it was large when I ordered it, but I didn’t realize just how large. So I included some photos with my mouse and hand for scale to help show the size for others.
Other than the size though, there really isn’t anything wrong with this product. And the size is just a personal preference so I didn’t knock any stars off for that. The quality of the glass seems really good and the matte color fits into my desk well.
Something you may want to consider though is a gel pad or wrist cushion to go along with this mouse pad. The reason is since this is a glass surface, if you wear your watch on your right hand like I do, then your watch band can scratch the pad surface. I am currently using my old soft mouse pad to protect the surface from my watch but I think a good permanent solution would be a gel cushion. Since the mouse pad is so large, you could probably buy a keyboard length cushion and have a full length protection.
Other than those few personal experience situations, I think this mouse pad is worth the cost and worth the size if your desktop has the space for it. I know I’ll end up covering about half of this pad with other stuff because I don’t need all that space for my mouse but your experience may vary.
The quality is great, the smooth use is way better than a soft pad and the color fits my decor well. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who’s got the space for it and wants a smooth gliding mouse experience! You may have to change your sensitivity settings down because the glass surface definitely allows for easier movement too.

I’m a gaming enthusiast - meaning I keep up on the latest trends and games - but my kids and job (i.e. adulting) keep me from gaming as much as I’d like. Point is, I’m not someone looking at every angle for a slight advantage against my online opponents. But I always appreciate new tech and tech accessories that look good and provide certain advantages. I’ve been using the same cloth/rubber mousepad since 2011 (I know because the year is on it). It’s ugly. I own a few Razer peripherals and have always been impressed with their build quality and utility.
I never thought I’d want or even like a glasspad, but when I step back and think about it, most good laptop trackpads (specifically Macbooks) have glass trackpads which provide superior responsiveness, feeling and accuracy. But they have their drawbacks, namely they can break easily. That’s not to say it will crumble in normal use - even over time - but I certainly don’t have any worries dropping something on my rubber/cloth mousepad and it breaking. That’s something to at least think about with this Razer mousepad.
The things to know about this trackpad is that it’s large. Like really large. You will need to make sure you have ample space on your desk - you won’t want it hanging off the edge. It also comes with a large warning telling you not to put sharp objects on it, or hot or cold items. Good news is that it’s easy to clean, you simple wipe the dust off every month or so to prevent buildup.
In terms of performance, I love it. It’s truly frictionless, my mouse simply glides across it. I can say that it’s a noticeable difference from a traditional cloth mousepad, but I can’t say the performance bump is noticeable. Now again, true games that care about every little advantage might say differently, but day to day and casual gaming (like strategy games) it’s hard to say there’s a performance difference. But it certainly feels nice to use. The surface is so large your wrist inevitably ends up resting on it and it feels smooth to the touch. It also looks professional, it actually looks like it might have some texture or “grip” to it, but that’s just cosmetic. It truly feels, smooth as glass, pun intended.
The only reason I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is because it’s overpriced for a trackpad - not overpriced necessarily as a “glass” trackpad. And it’s extremely large, which is nice, but limits your placement options (of course there are smaller sizes). Plus the concern of it breaking. Of course, once it’s on your desk, that really shouldn’t be a problem unless you happen have a shelf with heavy objects next to it that might fall and break it. At the end of the day, it’s a pleasure to use both casually gaming and just day-to-day tasks.

It's Massive, Heavy, it's Glass -- and Amazing?

Yikes. Does anyone really need a mousepad that costs as much as the Razer Atlas Tempered Glass Gaming Mouse Mat? I wouldn't think so, but I am going to skip over cost/value from the equation as who am I to judge? Besides, in what I see as a niche market -- premium, high end tempered glass mouse mats, the pricing of the Atlas is surprisingly competitive.
The first thing that becomes immediately noticeable is the size and weight. It's not the biggest mouse pad made, but it still takes a huge chunk of precious desktop real estate. While 17.72 x 15.75 inches (450 x 400 mm) may not seem that big, keep in mind that you can't place anything on it other than your mouse. Razer advises to never place the Atlas on surfaces where it may stick out or protrude, on an uneven surface where any corner isn’t touching, and don’t place anything heavy, or too hot or cold on its surface. The rubber backed surface and 5mm thick tempered glass makes the Atlas quite heavy (about 4.4 lbs) -- particularly for a mouse pad, and it’s not particularly portable -- obviously it can’t be folded or rolled. For a mouse pad, that's seems a bit 'high-maintenance'. So what do we get in return?
It feels amazing, and it tracks like a dream.
The first thing I noticed when I used it was the coolness of the tempered glass surface. As I moved the mouse, it makes a slight scraping noise which was distracting, but was quickly replaced by an appreciation for just how effortlessly the mouse can be moved across the surface without feeling out of control or slippery. The special coating on the tempered glass surface does not attract oils, so there's no issue with finger prints. Liquids are not an issue as they immediately bead up, and since the surface cannot soak up anything, mouse movements remain largely unchanged even when sweating.
Build quality is exceptional. The CNC machined edges are smooth, the surface is completely flat, and the backing ensure the Atlas does not move at all. My only disappointment with quality was a scratch that mysteriously appeared on the scratch resistant surface (see photo). I have no idea how it got there as to the best of my knowledge nothing but the mouse was ever placed on the surface. As mentioned previously, mouse movement is noisy, but when you're actually playing a game it's never something that's noticed.
In the end, moving a mouse over it feels amazing and once you get used to the effortless movement it tracks perfectly, but for some it may have too little resistance. For me, price not withstanding, I found the Atlas is a fantastic mouse pad.

This mouse pad is great. It’s a bit crazy to have it be made of glass since in the past there was a time when glass was very much not an ideal surface for tracking with laser and optical mice. But it seems like those are problems of the past as there are no such issues here. It feels nice under my wrist and forearm as I game or do other tasks on my computer, and my Logitech Master 3 mouse glides smoothly and confidently over this surface. It is a treated and slightly textured finish that allows for just enough resistance to feel like you’re on a conventional mousepad and not a slab of glass. It also has an attached nonslip mat underneath ensuring it does not move and gives a bit of sound reduction as well. It looks nice with rounded off chamfered edges and a small Razer logo in the corner. My only complaint about it would be that it is perhaps an inch too large in both directions, making it very difficult to find enough room for even though I have a fairly large corner desk. It is recommended that you not leave any edges exposed by having it hang off the edge of your desk so it doesn’t get hit just right and shatter but, in my case, I cannot make it fit without a tiny bit over the edge in one corner. So, if you have a smaller desk definitely measure first before taking the plunge as you will need significant real estate to make this work. But if you have the space, you will not be disappointed in how good it feels to use. Getting that additional level of control and smoothness in mouse inputs is very important and this does that job remarkably well. Definitely recommend for gamers or even desktop users who want something unique and have the space for it.

I've been testing the Razer Atlas Tempered Glass Gaming Mouse Mat for the past week, and I'm overall very impressed. The main thing I love about it is that it keeps my arm and wrist cool and dry, even during intense gaming sessions. This is in contrast to a wood desktop or other mouse pads, such neoprene, which can get sticky and uncomfortable after a while.
The glass surface of the Atlas is also very smooth, which allows for quick and precise mouse movement. Which was a big change from a sticky mousepad. However, I quickly got used to it, and now I find that I can make even the most demanding movements with ease.
The only real downside to the Atlas is that it is quite large. This is not a problem for me, as I have a large desk, but it may be an issue for some people. Additionally, the glass surface does make a bit more noise when you slide your mouse across it than other materials. However, this is a minor issue, and I don't find it to be a major distraction.
Overall, I highly recommend the Razer Atlas Tempered Glass Gaming Mouse Mat. It is an excellent choice for gamers who are looking for a comfortable, durable, and precise mouse pad.

The smoothest mouse experience!

This mouse mat is an extremely high quality mat that best suits large desks, and is fantastic for dedicated gamers who are looking to further optimize their optical mouse experience. Made of tempered glass with a smooth matte surface, any mouse will smoothly glide across this mat with ease, better than any surface or mouse pad I have ever experienced. For gaming, this means that this mouse mat can help reach very fine precision levels not normally producable from many different standard desk or mouse pad surfaces. The size in person of the mat was actually surprising, I think that for most people this mouse mat is likely far too large (takes up a very large space, so if you have an abundance of desk decorations, multiple screens, a larger keyboard, etc. you'll likely want a smaller mouse mat) - unfortunately there isn't a smaller version of this mat, but the experience it provides may sway you to clear some space on your desk to fit this mat if you're a serious mouse poweruser or gamer!
