The Barracuda Pro headset is a very clean and professional looking headset that is very comfortable to wear for extended gaming sessions or for work and school, making it an excellent choice on paper for students and professionals looking for something they can game on, but also take into the office and not immediately signal "gamer" to everyone. The fit is fantastic, with a very comfortable and adjustable headband, the earcups are comfortably padded and large enough to fit bigger ears, and the materials are both durable and premium feeling. The box includes a very nice carrying case that holds everything you need to use the headset and keeps them safe while traveling, with a convenient storage compartment in the middle that holds the RF dongle, USB-A to male C charging cable, and USB-A to female C extension cable for the dongle. This latter cable is extremely important because this headset has some of the worst wireless interference I have ever experienced, whether it is connected directly to your device or via the extension dongle (laptop, PS5, AND XBox X)! Bluetooth works great and allows you to hear all that this headset has to offer: incredible spatial sound, great noise cancellation, and very good microphone quality. The latest firmware update has reduces this a little for me at home, where I run as much on a 5GHz band as possible, but in the office is terrible. I have not had a full connection dropout, but the constant buzzing and clipping from interference is horribly distracting while trying to chat on a work call or over in-game chat while playing COD. I really want to like these for a "do-it-all" wireless headset, but I suppose I'll have to continue with a multiple headset setup or using these purely with Bluetooth.
I can't really recommend these unless the wireless interference issue is solved or you use exclusively wired connections for everything else, but that's unlikely. I really like everything else about these and they are very well built with great sound over Bluetooth, but there are too many other options that don't have the interference problem this has to be able to honestly recommend them.

I gave the headset a 2star rating however if I could give this headset a 1.5star instead I would. this is a flagship model this is them saying for the barracudas this is the best you can get from this line up. I had originally bought the mid tier and was disappointed with them and went and bought the pros and was even more disappointed .
Recently Razer released a new line up for the barracuda
the budget, mid tier, flagship
to give you a idea of what i'll compare to is their other flagship model the Blackshark V2 Pro from 2020
The Blackshark v2 pro is possibly my most favorite headset for gaming as of date. I've owned most flagship models from other companies such as HyperX[thier new 300hour battery headset], SteelSeries[including their latest the artic nova pro], Turtlebeach, LucidSound, Corsair
So what does this headset do compared to that flagship model better -- it has bluetooth for mobile and a very good battery life thats it
this headset has 2 pros I can say
in terms of comfort these are very comfortable and the ANC does a decent job however their mid tier if used while gaming does just the job as well
The razer barracuda fails to deliver in most areas such as
-Sound [out of box EQ which is default with no tuning is not good at all they require tuning once you set them up]
comparing the mid tier and the flagship the THX amp built into the pros makes hardly any difference in audio quality
-Loudness [activating side tone lowers the headset volume by so very much and it degrades the audio quality im guessing they will have to fix this in a firmware update]
-Microphone [its abysmal built in mics are never great] thier budget version of this headset has a better microphone than their mid tier and flagship like. What?
Bluetooth codec they use is SBC[for a flagship model @$250] which for a pair of headphones they are trying to market for mobile users at this price is not acceptable. meaning it doesnt do hi res audio like what APTx HD or LDAC. which AptX has a version for low latency while providing somewhat decent audio quality.
I can NOT recommend this line up from razer this time around both the pro and mid tier failed miserably this time around. Also the price jump from 160-250 between the mid and flagship models does not justify the price hike for ANC and the little tuning difference they did for the pros .
if your a mobile player go with something else while visually they do look nice why settle for mediocre

Great sound quality, extremely comfortable, long battery life, and very versatile with the Razer app. The built in Mic quality is fair, not great, not horrible. Overall a great quality headset!

Amazing - headphones. Very comfortable with great sound quality. This is definitely a premium product with a premium price tag but I believe it is worth it.

They sound great. I think it would be difficult to find gaming cans with Bluetooth that sound better than this. So very comfortable. Bluetooth is great to connect to my TV so I can easily play anything PS3 and back. Also has Bluetooth gaming mode which reduces latency and works very well. Playing Siege on PS5 I could pretty easily hear where enemies were coming from.
Human Revolution on PS3 sounded great in Bluetooth gaming mode.
The sound is rich, full and detailed. The bass hits where it should but is not boomy. Quite a joy to listen to. I think it sounds worse with ANC on, so I don’t use it, and I don’t care because I am only concerned with sound quality.
Jedi Fallen Order sounded like I was in the game. These are very immersive and put you into the game.

Great all around headset aside of not being able to be used with xbox, only pc, and ps5. Perfect for gym use and pc
, ps5 gaming. Used it more for ps5. Lacks bass, foot steps on cod are nowhere to be heard with different eq's. Battlefield was pretty solid thk aside of it lacking bass but you can adjust bass on the app if needed. Little bit of crackling on ps5 watching movies and gaming at a distance of 7-9ft at most. No problems on pc. No disconnects ever on bluetooth or pc or ps5. Real comfortable. you cant use Bluetooth and game audio at the same time but its easy to switch if you get a . Mic is a little weird. My wife said i sounded sketchy when i answered the phone. If you want an all around headphones for pc, ps5, xbox and gym/lifestyle i recommend the steel series nova pros. Great sound and better in my opinion, foot steps and sound separation is far clearer and their sonar eq sound is amazing for cod, rpg, battlefield, and single player action games. For gym use theh are just the same and they have a mic that can pull out and put back in so they look like normal non gaming headphones for going out or gym.

I picked up the Barracuda Pro and so far, it's a decent headset. I've installed all the updates and made and made my tweaks on Synapse and the headset was better than I thought it would be. Of course, my expectations are low, and I am more than familiar with Razer's horrendous quality control.
I preferred the standard 2.4 Ghz sound over the recommended Spatial audio. I found that the sound was a lot fuller than the THX Spatial which sounded flat. Tweaked the equalizer settings as well and all my games, music, and videos sounded great.
Mic at default sucks, so I turned off the noise cancellation for the Mic, turned on Voice clarity and it was a huge improvement on games and on Zoom calls.
Using this on my Steam Deck and it works fine too, just keep in mind that you need to adjust the audio on the headset itself. Volume settings on the Steam Deck itself doesn't do anything. Other than that, games sound great, unnoticeably latency and I do appreciate how easy it is to just plug into the USB-C port of the SteamDeck without having to fiddle around with dongles, hubs or DACs.
Still trying to decide whether or not to keep this because $249 is quite a bit to pay for a "decent" pair of headphones. Also, out of the box it and its default settings - I don't blame anyone for hating it.

Bought these for my Mom, she absolutely loved them. The sound quaity is really good, they are lightweight, and the battery lasts long. She liked them so much that we got a second pair. The main and only downside was the learning curve of the play pause controls on the side of the headphones being like a touch screen rather than physical buttons.

Sound quality is great, I would have given them a 5 star rating, but while I'm not using them they disconnect and I have to reconnect them. Bit pricey for what you get, but I'm pretty picky and tend to go for quality over price.

The sound quality is really good and I won’t ever feel like it’s not loud enough. It’s good for gaming and for music listening. I can have it full volume on the counter while I’m in the shower and hear it perfectly. The battery lasts so long I’ve only charged it twice in nearly a month and i use them pretty much everyday. I’ve never tested the mic so I can’t speak on the quality of it. Only issue is when switching between devices I have to shut the Bluetooth off on the device that was last connected or it won’t connect.

If you are looking for a good sounding and fitting pair of headphones this is it. The noise cancellation and pass through modes are great. My displeasure comes from two things one of them is the microphone clarity which there is none. The mic sounds like its in a tin can under water. And secondly the connection. The whole seamless transition from 2.5ghz to 5ghz is extremely noticeable with the sound coming in and out a drastic amount when using the provided USB C dongle. Again love the sound and is comfortable but not worth $260

I've had a lot of Razer headsets and this one is the best so far. The sound quality is excellent for directional audio and the controls are intuitive and easy to use. It's super easy to switch inputs from the headset with a click double click of a button which lets me switch seamlessly from my gaming desktop to work PC.

The audio is great. I connect the dongle to whatever system I'm using, PS5, PC, to etc and it kicks right on. Good battery life and the Bluetooth lets me connect to my work laptop simultaneously. However, the microphone is rough. Lots of software goes into trying to make it decent, but I got a lot of flak from friends when using it. Switched headsets because of it.

Great lightweight headphones with multiple uses. Great for gaming, conference calls, and easy to toggle noise cancelling or not if you want to get lost in your media/game. Upon connection, I highly suggest updating the firmware as there was some audio stuttering up front, but once razer synapse picked it up and installed the new firmware… it’s been a dream since.

Great product and very comfortable!
When taking calls on the headphones some people say they have a hard time hearing me though. There is no microphone to pull closer to my face / attachable so I regularly use these as headphones most of the time and maybe for a few calls while already on the phone for awhile.

Overall these headphones are good. I did not think the ANC was that great. I do think it works well when you have the Razer software which works ok. They are comfortable. Sound is above average. I wish the cups were changeable so you could have breathable material like they do on the barracuda X ones.
