The Razer headset addresses the issue of having a single headset compatible across multiple devices. It works seamlessly with your computer, PlayStation, Xbox, and even your phone via Bluetooth. However, I’ve encountered an issue where I need to reconnect the headset to my phone’s Bluetooth every time I open the app, and every time I turn the headset off and on. This makes it less practical as a work headset. I’m hoping this is just an app-related bug, as it doesn’t feel like standard behavior.
The phone app offers some fun customization options, such as changing the ear cover colors. The ear covers themselves are exceptionally comfortable, making them suitable for all-day use. You can also tweak your EQ settings through the app, which is handy.
One unique feature is the detachable microphone, which is something I haven’t seen before. It’s a smart design choice, catering to users who also want to use the headset as regular headphones. That said, the sound quality is decent but not outstanding for over-ear headphones, especially in terms of bass, which could use some improvement.
I do find the buttons somewhat confusing and unintuitive to locate while wearing the headset, though this might be a matter of personal preference. All and all, as a versatile, all-in-one headset, it’s hard to go wrong with this option. It’s thoughtfully designed, offers a range of features, and provides a comfortable fit.

The Razer Barracuda X Chroma is a fantastic gaming headset. The sound quality is clear and immersive, making games more enjoyable. It's also very comfortable to wear for long periods, thanks to its lightweight design and soft ear cushions.
The Chroma RGB lighting adds a nice touch of style, and the customization options are great. The wireless connectivity is reliable, with no noticeable lag, and the battery life is impressive.
Overall, the Razer Barracuda X Chroma is a great investment for any gamer looking for a high-quality, comfortable, and stylish headset. Highly recommended!

The Razer Barracuda X Chroma headset is so immersive, I forgot I had roommates—and possibly a job. The sound quality? Crisp enough to hear enemy footsteps, distant loot drops, and the subtle sigh of a grumble of pugs disappointed I didn’t pick support again. The Chroma lighting makes me look like a cyberpunk DJ lost in a rave. Wireless range? I made a sandwich in the kitchen while still trash-talking in-game. Battery life outlasts my will to grind ranked. This headset didn’t just level up my audio—it made me the pug-whisperer of warzones. 10/10, even the pugs approve (grumpily).

Sound quality, it's phenomenal and the adjustments on the head are great, very comfortable. I really like the metal frame . I don't have to worry about them breaking or falling off, like another brand did. The range on the Bluetooth is great. Anywhere in the house with.Out having to take the headset off if I need to get up. I do play games a lot so I have to charge it at least twice a week. But being able to play the games, why it's charges is not inconvenience.

The Barracuda X Chroma headset is OK but not great. On paper, the gaming headset looks great. It boasts features like 70-hour battery life, 40 mm drivers, and SmartSwitch Dual Wireless Technology, BUT I had one major issue.
For me, there are 3 qualities that I look for in a good set of gaming headsets; Do they sound good, do they fit my head, and can I wear them comfortably for hours on end? The Barracuda X Chroma falls short in one of these key qualities, the sound. I'm not sure If I received a faulty unit but as soon as I put them on, I instantly could hear what sounded like interference. I tested this out on my PS5 Pro and I had them connected via the wireless USB dongle. Anytime there was a moment where there was no sound output or low sound output, I would get a static sound from both of the ear cups. This would go away and be less noticeable when I was in a game but anytime I was in a menu or there was a lull, it would immediately come back. This is the main reason I can't recommend them. Your milage may vary and I might have a bad set but this is something I find unacceptable in this price range.
As far as fit, they feel great on my large head (no pinching) and there's no doubt I would be able to wear them for hours on end. The other complaint I have is due to personal preference. I personally like to have ambient noice come through the ear cups so I can hear how loud I'm talking and adjust accordingly. This gaming headset doesn't have active noise cancellation but it does block out 60% of the white noise in the room. Which is great if that's your preference but for me it's not what I'm looking for.
Everything else is great and the headset delivered on most of its promises, it just fell too short in the area that matters most to me when I'm gaming.

The chief reason this isnt a max star review is because of a few things I have run into with this headset. First of the good things. It is light and very comfortable to wear. It has excellent battery life and it being able to connect to your phone is nice as well. My issues with this headset as a long time razer user are as follows, it uninstalled my graphics driver when I initially installed the software for it on my computer, I had to use my drawing tablet to reinstall the driver, did some reading and discovered that this is a common issue with this specific headset, razer needs to fix this cuz uninstalling stuff is not ok, my other issue that I have as yet to resolve is the microphone does not work, this could be simply user error on my part and I use a blue yeti mic with my computer so its not a big deal for me but this could be a potential issue for other people, big reason I got this headset because I literally wore out my old razer nari to the point that the earcups were disintegrating at the connection points, its a decent headset but people should be aware of what they might be purchasing, hoping this is not a foretelling of razer quality going down since I have tried other headset brands and this is the one I keep coming back too.

Headphones work great. Sound of quality is perfect. I can barely hear any outside noise. The RGB is very cool and very easy to set up on the PC. I downloaded the Razer software and was very easy to pair and set up the RGB. Overall headphones are worth the price!

I bought these headphones for my 16 year old son for his birthday. He is a PC gamer and has had trouble finding headphones that are comfortable, have great sound, and are durable.
He loves these headphones, and said they are the best ones he has ever used.
That is saying something because he usually very picky and doesn’t go out of his way to tell me how good something I got him is!
Based on what I paid for them compared to other headsets over the years and my son’s positive comments , I would say these headphones are a no brainer for any serious gamer to try out.

really good quality sound, battery life is long and longer with dim lights. lights are so customizable! only con is that they slip off my head often, maybe just gonna get a band to keep it in place, best headphones I love them and they stay connected to both my phone and other devices like PS5.

Best headset I’ve ever owned! Calls are crystal clear, the surround sound is amazing, and the option to control the RBG from my phone is convenient. I wish the sizing could go just a touch smaller, but even for my small head it’s a comfortable set. I wear glasses at the computer and I can wear them with this headset for hours without issue. The only frustration I had was simple user error - you need to double click the button to switch between Bluetooth and the dongle.

I purchased these for use with work and they are awesome. Comfortable, great sound and love to be able to pivot between the 2.4hz connection and blue tooth.

These headphones stay comfortable during periods of extended use. The sound quality is really good. I also like how the material is breathable. The light up feature and ability to change colors is pretty nice. I would recommend.
