I bought these to go with my gaming laptop as I wanted something lightweight, closed back and with a USB sound card and a 4 pole cable The sound quality is fantastic, I have Sennheiser Game Ones on my desktop and these are shockingly pretty close in terms of audio quality. The Sennheiser are better but I was shocked at how close the Razer can get. These have a fairly neutral-warm sound stage that can punch pretty hard with the bass when necessary but are not typical bass head cans. I'd say the microphone is the bigger difference. The razer one is just ok. Not spectacular but it's not a huge deal breaker, my friends can understand me fine and there isn't a lot of background noise coming through but it's a bit thin sounding. Comfort wise they're very light and have minimal clamping force. I didn't find them overly hot or anything either. The controls are easy to find and feel good Software wise I find synapse to be one of the better easier to use options. The THX spacial audio is pretty good if you like that thing (I do not) Overall for under 100 a super solid headset with great audio quality

Amazingly light headset with a solid mic. Got it on sale during Xmas and it was a steal at $79. It's as light as the standard Kraken with much much better sound and mic. THX is also a bonus and works reasonably well. Ultimately I returned it for the wireless, but an amazing headset.....highly recommend it! Even at normal price.

Great sound quality, and feels light on my head. Earcups weren't pressing too hard even with glasses on my head, so it was a comfortable fit. Overall feels like a good product from Razer.

Such a comfortable mic! And it has great features with a downloadable program, I have to wear it with one muff off or I won’t be able to hear because of its immersive sound quality! Great build quality aswell!

Solid quality headphones. They are extremely light! The clamping force is low to medium, so people with small heads beware. The microphone is clear and crisp, and the addition of the sound card makes things very easy to adjust. The software, Razer Synapse, makes amazing use of recognizing what it is you are doing and adjusting the sound profile to what your needs are. THX audio sounds the best out of the presets, in my opinion. The gaming preset boosts the bass a little bit and makes the mids a little punchier. I am no audiophile but these sound amazing. Not to mention the price tag. For the price you get a soft touch plastic as the main material, paired with a "sport" feeling cushion on the head band and the cups. on the inside of the cups, there is a plush material, so if your ears ever do touch the inside driver, you wont even notice. Great headphones for the price.

Fantastic comfort, great passive sound isolation. Sound quality is similar to Hyper X, but the quality of the cups is significantly better. They have a great weight to them as well which helps them feel even more quality.

Works great, i played it with my Xbox Series X and it is loud with great bass and sound, one of the best headphones i bought for gaming and music! Such good quality for a decent price if you dont wanna spend hundreds for a expensive headset. All genres of video games are good with this headset but horror games are this headsets strongpoints if you want best quality surround sounds and longterm confort for long gaming sessions.

My initial time with the microphone was strange, as the connection was a little off. Nowadays I have no such issues and it's a solid headset for the price. The audio is decent, and the mic is definitely fine for being a gaming headset, it won't blow you away but people will understand you clearly. The build quality on the headset is good and it's mostly comfortable, do be warned that if it gets hot in your room, wearing this for extended periods of time will not help at all.

I'm kind of picky when it comes to Razer products as some are incredible and some are abysmal. These surprised me. They are comfortable and braided cable is a plus because they did it right and it doesn't coil up when you walk away from your desk for 2 min. Software is razer software, but the THX is solid. Little bass heavy but can't complain the overall quality is excellent. Price is the deferral with Razer and these are priced perfect.

Overall this is a very good headset with an extremely pleasant microphone. The microphone is likely the best of all the razed headsets. The sound becomes a bit lower in bass I believe but it makes it so there’s never anything overwhelming. Gunfire and footsteps in games is extremely easy to pick up on. The only issues would be how snug the headset may feel as it does get warm after long use. There is a bit of tampering to be done with sound card settings but overall really good. Sound card is a necessity for me because otherwise the noise cancelling bit of the headset makes it so that I can’t hear myself speaking.

Razer has finally done it! The sound from this headset is absolutely amazing!! There are several settings you must have to truly unlock the potential of this headset. It will install two separate sound drivers, one that is the Razer USB and one that is the Synapse. I fully recommend the Dolby Atmos app that you apply to the USB driver in the windows sound settings and keep Synapse as your default speaker. Do NOT apply Dolby to the Synapse driver, keep the settings at default and apply all the settings you need in the Synapse Software. You can also if you like apply the DTS app to the USB driver instead of Dolby Atmos. The Synapse driver you configure in the Razer software feeds off of the USB driver.

I tried out this headset after debating seeing it in store and I was not disappointed. I recently had another extremely popular brand but it fell apart just out of nowhere. This headset has a great feel, great audio and the noise cancellation is excellent. I see no reason to venture to another brand or model at this time, I honestly don't have anything negative to complain about and hopefully it fulfills my needs for a reasonable amount of time.

Excellent headphones! I have bought 3 pairs now, of 4 years. I use them for phone calls, working out at the gym (not running), listening to music and books at work, and gaming on Xbox and PC. They have pretty much become an extension of my body, and the $300 wireless headphones aren't any better and are worse for your health since they are wireless.

The Razer Blackshark V2 sound quality is amazing! The noise-canceling works like a charm and really gets you into the game. Speaking to the other players has never been easier and I don't have to repeat myself because other players hear me crystal clear. I literally LOVE IT!! I recommend this product.

Nice headset, comfortable with noise cancellation. I give it four stars because you need an adapter to have it work with your xbox 1 controller. I am unsure about other controllers as he has only used it with his xbox so far. If you have an older controller it can be plugged in directly to the audio jack but you will not be able to use the soundcard, which is one of the main reasons you would choose this headset. I do not remember reading that it would need additional components to work with the multi-platforms it says it is compatible with. I could be mistaken though. If you only have a 3.5mm audio plus mic jack, I would go with the Blackshark V2 without the soundcard as it will save you over $30.
