Very Comfortable Headset with built-in detachable Mic and isn't too tight on the head.

These were pretty good, not great, but good sound, good mic quality and good build. They are also pretty comfortable. I now prefer open back and found the SHP9500's to be my go to. I added a mic to those to make them work as a headset. The BlackShark's surprised me though. The soundcard with them makes them sound a little synthetic, but if you have a DAC to drive them, it'll give them a boost. Good overall.

One of the best headsets I've ever owned. Super comfortable with many great features including THX spatial audio with just enhances the sound of anything that is compatible. Can't find a negative. Got it on sale which just makes it that much more of a deal.

A year of daily use and not a single problem. These are more comfortable than any other over-ear headset/headphones (not just gaming ones) that money could buy. I have worn these for multiple 6+ hour long Tarkov sessions and I’d forget I was even wearing them. Despite being light as air, the build quality is top of the line. Do yourself a favor and buy a pair.

Recently bought the pro version of this headset because I loved this wired version but didn’t know Razer had a pro wireless option so now I have two headsets that work great and never have to worry about battery since I have the wired version to swap with while the pro wireless is low on battery

The sound is pretty good, comfort is great, and you never have to charge it! But you might get some crackling sounds when using the USB dongle after some time.

The Razer Blackshark V2 headset... TLDR: best bang for the buck in this price range! Sound Quality: This is a closed-back headset and it does well to provide very accurate directional audio. Compared to my A40s, mids & highs are a bit less pronounced but still good enough to hear what you need to to play at a high level. If you play FPS games, you'll appreciate these headsets as footsteps and directions are very discernible. The addition of the Razer USB soundcard is also a nice addition to provide better audio quality compared to your standard 3.5mm outputs. One thing to note is the volume knob - it is in reverse from what i'm used to... Turning it counter clock-wise will go up in volume and clock-wise will lower the volume. Thought that was strange, but eventually i got used to it. This may not be an issue for others, so it's not worth docking any stars over but worth mentioning. Comfort: These headphones have some very comfy earpads. I have pretty big ears, and when gaming over a few hours, i don't experience any discomfort with my ears or my head from the headset. The inner ear pads have a thin layer that sits between your ears and the drivers, thus if your ears are big, there won't be any hard contact that would cause ear discomfort. One thing to note also is that these are very light as well, so this helps to alleviate any strain you may experience with other headsets with prolonged use. Form Factor & Build Quality: Since this is a budget gaming headset, this is an area where you can see some corners were cut. Each earcup is connected via two adjustment rods that move independently of each other. What this means is that when adjusting the headset, if you don't evenly apply pressure to lengthen/shorten the earcup, then it may be uneven (one rod may have more length than the other). This mechanism makes it certainly more tedious to adjust the headset, however once set you wouldn't have to repeat this process again so it's not a make or break factor. Outside of the earcups, the microphone is detachable and very good. Compared to my A40s, the microphone quality is on par, so that is a big plus! Razer also provides software to adjust mic & sound profiles as well, so don't forget to download it to adjust to your liking. The audio cable on the other hand is not detachable, so you will not be able to replace it if you need to (or detach it when you are putting it in your bag to travel). Overall, in this price range i would definitely recommend this headset.

No matter what your gaming motivation is, the sound of said game is important to any experience. Razer’s Blackshark V2 headset delivers some great sound for your gaming world. Comfort: The Blackshark is probably the most comfortable gaming headset that I’ve ever worn. And that’s saying a lot since I’ve owned several headsets since 2013. It’s a low profile aviator design fit with breathable ear cups which is important for those long gaming sessions. I didn’t feel any overwhelming heat or sweat from wearing them during my sessions that last for several hours. For an incredibly lightweight headset, I am amazed at how they can cup my ears firmly without becoming irritating after an hour. You might even forget that you’re wearing them. It happened to me twice already. The volume is a direct access dial that’s located on the right ear cup. It’s easy to adjust and you’ll feel a ‘click’ when you’ve dialed to the halfway mark. Just behind the volume dial is the mic mute button which is easy to use. I can appreciate the location of these two features since your fingers know exactly where to go rather than fumbling for the mute slider that’s on a cord that we’ve seen with other headsets. Sound: The Blackshark V2 has A LOT of options for you to experiment with regarding the sort of audio experience you are looking for. However, I have to inform you, all of these sound options are meant for PC players only. That’s not to say that you cannot use the Blackshark for your PS4, Xbox One, or Switch. Instead of using the built-in USB soundcard, you can plug the headset via the 3.5mm audio jack directly into the Switch, PS4, or Xbox One controller/handheld. That’s not to say that your audio experiences with the Blackshark are going to be horrible, it’s just that with the consoles, you cannot fine-tune the type of audio you are seeking. The PC audio options via the Razer Synapse app are PLENTY: Mic Volume Mic Boost Mic Sensitivity THX Spatial Audio Equalizer And that’s just to name a few of the customization options for the PC gamer. And even if you’re using this headset for your console, the sound is insanely sharp and clear. For me, the sounds are distinctive. Footsteps aren’t overridden by other audio cues in games like Call of Duty Warzone and Apex Legends where you NEED to be aware of your audio surroundings. For the gamers that are looking for a deep and pronounced bass sound, then you’ll find that the Blackshark does not offer that sound experience. Even after I experimented with the calibrations, there was no ‘booming’ bass sound. I’m assuming that this was done so as not to conflict with the other sounds that I mentioned before. I played Apex Legends on my PC and then played Ghost of Tsushima on my PS4. Both games have different uses for sound but both were astounding to hear. From the gunfire approaching closer to my location in Apex Legends to the sounds of wind and thunder in Ghost of Tsushima, I felt like I was in those moments. Unfortunately, there’s no vocal feedback when using the headset on consoles. This means that you can’t hear yourself and will be talking at a louder tone to your online team or friends unless you pull one of the ear cups slightly off your ear. If you’re anything like me, you tend to use your gaming headset for other things such as watching movies. Just like the gaming sound, the sounds from the movies were clear, sharp, and distinct. A surround sound theater around your ears. The Blackshark distributes a clean and sharp audio experience for ALL gamers but offers customization for the PC gamer. If you’re looking for comfort, clean sound without being overwhelmed by multiple wires, and the weight of the headset, I believe you will be satisfied with the Blackshark V2.

The audio is very consistent; the experience is perfect for modern-day shooters.

I bought it at the store because I saw the price tag for 59.99 but I got charged more. It’s a good headset, but I recommend changing some microphone settings at the Razer Synapse app in your PC to make it sound better.

The Razer BlackShark V2 Gaming Headset offers great sound, features and comfort at a reasonable price. When unboxing the headset you're greeted with a fold up top that is usually a part of premium packaging so that was a nice touch. Inside of the inner cardboard tray you'll find the headset in a fleece like bag that includes the headset with attached USB sound card a detachable mic and the headset itself. The headset is adjustable on the sides by sliding the ear cups along the skinny black rails that hold them to the band it does feel a bit delicate. The top of the headset does offer a bit of cushion and does feel comfortable and so do the cushions on the ear cups. The detachable mic can only go in one way and it did sound loud and clear on my mic tests as well as voice chatting. The sound quality of the Razer BlackShark V2 did sound good for its price point thanks to the 50mm Titanium drivers and the included software that installs on your pc from the USB sound card adds a bunch of features like spatial surround sound that helps you hear directional footsteps as well as different equalizer settings to tune the sound to your liking. At first I thought the overall sound levels were low but it turns out that the volume adjuster on the side of the headset was turned about halfway down so when I raised it to the max the sound was much more immersive. The cups seal around your ears and give a decent amount of passive noise cancelation and the software included does also give your mic some noise cancelation to cancel out loud keyboards, clicks and background noise when you use your mic. The headset does feel light and never felt heavy on my head even after several hours of testing. Adding on to all of these features you have a 2 year warranty that instills a sense of reliability and making this a no brainer for me to recommend getting whether you game on PC, Console or Mobile.

Love these!! So far so good!!! Great sound that you can adjust with the software. Others report they can hear me well and I dont even have to talk loud. I talk real low and they still can hear me amongst all the gunfire and chaos in the game. I like taht the mic is detachable too for better storage or if you just want to rock them for listening to music or movies. I like the volume control on the headset is a know for more precise colume control. Its a little big but it does its job. I like that the mute button is a button and not a switch. They are pretty comfortable but I have to find that sweet spot in the adjustments so it is not too tight or too loose. The mic monitoring is nice but you have to choose if you want to add gain and pic up mre background noise or someone talking in the background or if you want to cut that all out. I chose a wired headset because I feel it gives more consistancy and I dont have to worry about charging it. The cord can be cumbersome but thats a sacrifice im willing to take
