The mic is pretty clear and true to life, but it isn't easy to find a position if you'd like to take a sip of water between talking - you have to move it away and then move it back. Easy to hear directionality of footsteps and gunshots in games. Good quality, but overall could use some quality of life tweaks to make it better.

Even without different surround sound software the default windows and Xbox headphone software sounds Great! I really like the independent volume and mike control on the headphones
