The brand new Razer BlackShark V3 Pro ANC Wireless Headset delivers a significant step up in performance and refinement over the V2. With active noise cancellation, cross‑platform compatibility (PC, Mac, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, smartphone), and refined internals, it’s Razer’s most feature‑rich BlackShark yet—and it shows. The good: Overall sound: The BlackShark V3 Pro delivers warm, immersive sound with crisp highs, punchy yet well‑controlled bass, and excellent directional clarity. Whether you’re chasing footsteps in competitive shooters or losing yourself in game soundtracks, the audio is immersive and accurate. Design & build quality: Lightweight yet robust, with a refined matte finish and reinforced headband. The earcups are plush and supportive, and overall build feels more premium and stable than earlier models. Comfort & fit: Memory‑foam earcups wrapped in breathable mesh plus an adjustable, well‑padded headband provide exceptional comfort over long sessions, even with my glasses on. Microphone & ANC quality: Razer’s HyperClear Super‑Wideband mic shines with clear, natural‑sounding voice quality across vocal tones. The active noise cancellation is effective at muting ambient hums and chatter—ideal for focused gaming or calls. Mic clarity is fantastic. Controls: Convenient onboard controls include a proper tactile volume dial (absolutely love this!), mic mute button, power/Bluetooth profile button, and ANC toggle. Easy to use without reaching for software menus, once you get used to where everything is located. Notable extras: Cross‑platform Bluetooth + 2.4 GHz wireless dongle for ultra-low latency on PC and PlayStation. Onboard profile memory, so your EQ and THX settings follow the headset across devices. Long battery life—expect up to 60–70 hours on a single charge, even with ANC active. Under fairly regular usage so far I’ve charged essentially once a week. THX Spatial Audio sounds wide and immersive. The bad: Razer software limitations: The desktop customization app is Windows‑only. Mac users can use the headset wirelessly or wired, but can’t access Synapse/THX tuning on macOS. Mobile app recognition: At time of review, the Razer Audio mobile app doesn’t yet recognize the V3 Pro—even though the headset works perfectly via Bluetooth. You won’t be able to access EQ presets or update firmware from your phone, though core functionality is unaffected. Playstation OR Xbox: While it works on Xbox hardware, it lacks app-based configuration on that platform (though most adjustable settings can be stored onboard). Overall:
The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro ANC Wireless is a flagship‑level gaming headphone: superb sound, elite mic quality, strong ANC, long battery life, and all‑day comfort. Its only real shortcomings are software limitations—not hardware—and those don’t compromise daily use on PC, PlayStation, Switch, Mac or smartphone connectivity. Whether you’re competing in esports or simply enjoying a long gaming binge, this headset delivers high‑end performance with hardly any compromises. Easy 5 stars for me.

For this price range these are the worst. Setup was terrible experience. The charging wire is also the wireless connector. Who wants to unplug that each time. Device connection is horrible. Turns itself off. Disconnects constantly. There was nothing positive about the product at all. Returned and switched to Logitech A50. Perfect in all comparisons

This version of the Razer Blackshark is the first generation I've used. There are a couple of things I want in a headset for my computer and for gaming uses. I look for an immersive experience, comfort for a long period of using them, and zero lag. In all three cases, I can say the V3 of the BlackShark is great. The headset can be connected to a device via Bluetooth, via a hyper speed module that is included with the headset, and then of course wired. In my testing, the lag is the least with a wired connection. For me that is fine because I am usually at my desk or in range of my machine when using these. One cool thing about these though is that they have amazing sound! The sound profile is balanced, but with great bass considering it's a headset, and has different profiles built in that with the push of a button on the headset, built-in equalizer settings activate. It announces which profile you are using, and most of them are subtle between each other, but I could definitely tell a more nimble sound with the game preset. Listening to music in these was so good. I don't know that I would wear these as everyday listeners because they are a bit bulky, but if I'm working at my computer these have an amazing sound for music and video. And that brings me to comfort. They are surprisingly light considering their size, and I had no issues wearing these for hours while gaming. The lag was non-existent, and even trying the hyper speed connection I had no discernible lag. The microphone is detachable, and I used it a little, but the recording I did made it clear that this is a high quality mic. The volume knob on the side is funny looking but is so nice for small adjustments. There is a sidetone that gives you feedback while you're talking, which I am so thankful for. So in summary, these met all my expectations. They are comfy, sound amazing, and perform great with gaming. I wholeheartedly recommend these!

I love Razer for their headsets. The ones I’ve had in the past have been incredibly comfortable, even with my giant head, and sound amazing. I was only in the market for a new headset because I lost the wireless dongle adapter for my set of V2 Pro and unfortunately it’s really difficult to get a replacement. They are, like this headset, bluetooth compatible, but my PC has an older less reliable version of bluetooth that caused too many issues to deal with. I’m really happy with this upgrade though! A big fix is that I no longer need to position the wireless adapter in a USB port that is close to the headset. With the in box extension cable, I can have it sitting on my desk and enjoy a beautiful wireless connection. The audio quality is top notch. Even compared to my partner’s headset that is wired with a DAC, we found the wireless performance to be incredible. Audio was crystal clear and I was regularly complimented on the mic quality by my friends. The spatial audio is really impressive and I do think my performance has improved when playing games like Call of Duty or Fortnite. The noise cancellation is so good that I didn’t even hear my cats fighting in the same room as me lol The Synapse PC app adds a lot of features to these headsets that I wish were built in. I love having sidetone (where you can hear your own voice) but the fact that it’s settings are in the Synapse app is kind of a bummer. Regardless of where the features are, there are a lot of features to tinker with in the app for gamers to really zero in on the best audio settings for them. I am supremely happy with the V3 Pro and while the quibble of some features only accessible through the Synapse app, the worry about future support is a little worrisome. I’ve been trying to get a replacement for my last gen headset for months and have gotten nowhere. Protect the dongle with every fiber of your being and you are going to absolutely fall in love with this headset. Pros: Superb audio, input and output Extremely comfortable, even for a big head like me Wireless dongle with extension cord to place on desk instead of back of desktop THX Spatial Audio is amazing for positional audio Noise Cancellation is incredibly good Simultaneous audio from bluetooth and 2.4ghz Connects to everything except Xbox (different model required for that) Synapse App is easy to use Cons: Future support is questionable Many features, like sidetone, require using the PC Synapse app No pretty colors, just black and white

Premium-Quality Headset for Gaming and More

The Razer - BlackShark V3 Pro ANC Wireless Gaming Headset is a premium-quality product with high-end features and serious performance. There’s a lot I like. * The design and build-quality give the headset an overall feeling of a premium, almost luxury, product. * The stitched-leather headband * The under-stated style * The way the ear covers slide up and down their wire frames (instead of the usual expanding headband). * The on-ear buttons are easy to locate by hand and identify - and have a solid-build feel. * The large volume control for the mic is just great. * The sound quality seems expansive to me. * I noticed a marked improvement from my previous headphones right away. Subtle, yet unmistakable. I think it could best be described as a greater degree of clarity and spacial positioning. This is a big help to gaming. Sounds in the ‘distance’ are ‘nearer’ than ever. * The preset EQ settings are excellent. From eSports and Gaming, to music, movie, or default, each setting seemed perfectly tuned to my needs. * The addition of ANC on/off, along with an ‘Ambient’ mode (which enhances sounds around you) is very helpful. The Ambient mode is useful for those times when someone needs speak to me. * Dual connectivity via bluetooth and/or a special wireless dongle is great. * Both of these worked flawlessly. I paired the wireless with my gaming PC and the bluetooth with my AppleTV. As a result, I can simple pick up the headphones and turn them on and I’m ready to go for either use. Considerations: I don’t have much in the way of negatives to report. I do wish the wireless dongle could be plugged right into the USB port of my PC instead of hanging at the end of a longer-than-needed cord. The ANC is noticeable, but not the best I’ve experienced. And the headphones fit snuggly and comfortably, but I do feel a relief of pressure when I take them off. I wish the padding was slightly thicker. Highly recommended as premium headphones.

I received these headphones from Best Buy to test and after trying them out for the last week, I am really impressed with their overall performance. I had previously been using both the PS5 Pulse Elite and and old Logitech gaming set and this easily competes with them at a better price. One of the standout features for me is just how comfortable they are. I’ve worn them for several longer sessions, from late-night multiplayer on my PS5 to chill handheld gaming on the Switch, and they never felt heavy or tight. The adjustable band and cushy earcups definitely help with that. Sound-wise, they’ve got that deep, rich audio you want, which was clear as soon as I turned them on. Every blaster shot in Star Wars Outlaws was crisp and the engine roar felt immersive when flying through space. I also appreciate the balance between bass and detail. It doesn’t drown things out but still has punch when it needs to. Setup was a breeze thanks to the included USB-C dongle. That little thing makes switching between my gaming PC, Switch, and PS5 super simple. Just unplug, move it over, and I’m connected in seconds. No menus, no pairing issues, just plug and play. Pros • Super comfortable for long sessions • Deep, rich sound with great clarity • Easy plug and play setup with the USB-C dongle • Works across multiple platforms like PC, PS5, and Switch • Mic is clear and tucks away when not in use Cons • No dedicated volume dial on the headset • Doesn’t support Bluetooth

Razer has been making some of the best gaming headsets for years so I was really looking forward to this new model being released. Pros: - These headphones are incredibly versatile. While, as you would expect, they have excellent performance for gaming purposes, consider that you can ALSO use these as noise-canceling headphones that you can take on the go with you. You can remove the detachable microphone, pair them to your phone via Bluetooth, and you've now got dual purpose headphones for the price of one. - Not only is this headset compatible with Windows/Mac, but it also is designed to function with the Nintendo Switch, Playstation, and other devices. There is a separate model available if you are looking for an Xbox headset. - When I have a long gaming session, the #1 most important thing to me with headsets is their comfort. I found the Blackshark V3 Pro to be plenty comfortable, fitting nicely over my ears and having the perfect amount of cushion across the top of my head. - The sound quality itself was phenomenal as the surround sound immersed me into my games very very well. Cons: - While this model will cost you more than many other headsets in the gaming space, I found it to be well worth it. So if it's in your price range, no worries. If you are in the market for a high end gaming headset, this is my new favorite model available. I don't think that it will disappoint anyone.

The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro is probably one of, if not, the best gaming headsets I’ve ever used. I would say that it's better than the Logitech Pro X2. While they both have surround sound and 52mm drivers, the BlackShark has an incredible microphone. It sounds amazing and clear. What is even better is that the mic’s EQ can be fully adjusted and there are mic enhancements in Razer’s software. The microphone can be detached if you just want to use the headset. Now the headset is pretty good too. It has an insane battery life while still being light. It has THX surround sound and adjustable active noise cancelling. There is also a sidetone so that you can hear yourself so that you can monitor your volume while using ANC. On top of that, the headset can be connected to another device using Bluetooth. The headset also allows you to have separate game and audio chat. Although, in my experience the chat audio seems much more clear than the game audio which can sound muddy or flat. Overall, this headset is a great piece of equipment that will enhance your gaming experience. If you are looking for a new headset, I highly recommend this Razer Blackshark.

    Solid Headset For Gaming

I've been using the Razer BlackShark V3 Pro ANC for several weeks now, primarily testing it with Helldivers 2 on PS5, and it's a solid gaming headset with some notable strengths and areas for improvement. The battery life is genuinely impressive - I've gotten multiple long gaming sessions without needing to recharge, which is crucial during those extended Helldivers 2 operations where you can't afford to have your headset die mid-mission. The convenience of not constantly worrying about battery levels is a real plus. The active noise cancellation works surprisingly well. It effectively blocks out household noise and distractions, letting me focus on hearing enemy movements and teammate callouts. This feature alone makes it worthwhile for competitive gaming. However, the sound quality is where I have mixed feelings. It's decent overall - clear enough for gaming communication and atmospheric sounds come through fine. But for a headset at this price point, I expected more punch and clarity. The audio feels somewhat flat, lacking the richness and depth that would elevate the gaming experience. Music and game soundtracks don't have the impact they should. The cross-platform compatibility is excellent, working seamlessly across PC, PlayStation, and Switch. Overall, it's a functional headset that gets the job done, but the audio quality leaves room for improvement.

First, setup was as easy as it gets. I use this headset for my PS5. You simply plug the dongle into the USB port and you're done. There are four buttons, a control knob and scroll wheel on the headset. On the left ear there is a mic mute button and the power button. The left side also has the volume control knob. I kind of like having a control knob versus a scroll wheel for volume. It's quicker and easier to get to. On the right ear there is the EQ button (Game, Movie, Music, E-sports1, and default). Hold this button for pairing mode. The scroll wheel for the audio mix (game/chat) is on the right ear. It also has the ANC (Active noise cancelling) button. It has three modes (Ambient, ANC Off and ANC On). Ambient lets you hear everything normally as if you're not wearing the headset. ANC off still reduces the ambient noise level. This headset is a lot better at reducing external noise, even with ANC off, than any of my previous headsets. Once you turn ANC on, it's nearly silent. To have ANC at this price point is great. As far as gaming, I used this headset with several games that I play often as I know the sounds of those games very well. This headset does well enough. The audio is clear, doesn't drop, and you can tell exactly where the sound is coming from. For comfort level, they are good. The clamp force is just slightly too high for me, but the padding on the ear cups and top strap are very good. I also used the Bluetooth to pair the headset to my TV. My wife likes to read a lot, so I use this headset to watch TV without disturbing her. It's a nice bonus to have the ANC and be fully immersed when watching a movie. The mic is removable, so you don't always have to have it attached if you're not using it. As far as what I don't like about it. From what I've found, the volume control for games is too wide for a single "click". What I mean is, if the volume is too low, you turn the volume up one click and now it's too high. It was like this on all five games that I tried. However, when using the headset to watch TV, the volume control was much better. There was less drastic change between each "click" of the knob and you could fine-tune it to exactly where you wanted it. I don't know why it couldn't be this way with games (which is what this headset is truly made for). Also, to fully use all of the features, you have to buy THX Spatial Audio for it. This costs (currently) $19.99. There is a 15-day free trial which I did try. You don't have to enter credit card information for the trial, which is nice. It does enhance the audio and give you more fine-tuning, but it should be included. To me, this feels like a micro-transaction in a game. Why not just charge $20 more for the headset and include it? I've never paid for a micro-transaction in a game, and when the trial is over, I won't be paying for THX Spatial Audio. For the volume control issue in games and having to pay extra to fully unlock all of the features of the headset, it's three stars for me. If THX Spatial Audio was included and the volume control was more precise, it would be a higher rating. For now, I'm going to stick with my previous headset for gaming. In fairness, it was double the price of this one and is much better without having to pay for upgrades. With that being said, I am definitely going to continue using it for watching TV/movies. As far as recommending it, it's a yes and a no. If you just want a basic headset that offers ANC (which is great), at a good price, then yes, I would recommend it. If you want the best sound and audio controls without having to pay extra to "unlock it", then no, I'd look elsewhere.

Like the Title says, the headset itself is pretty good. But Razer needs to work on their software. My biggest issues I have with the headset is the software and how the mic is. First on the mic. It sounds great and I like that you can detach it. This way if it breaks or maybe a better mic comes out, you can replace it. But it does not allow you to push it up to mute or to move out of the way. You have too either disconnect the mic or somewhat move it away from mouth. Moving it away does not fully get it out of the way. Disconnecting it, you have to then reconnect if you want to use. I rather just lift it up, which then gets it out of the way easily, and mutes it, and then just have to pull it down when you want to unmute and use it. Sound is not bad and could be better if the software was better. There are a couple nice futures with the software. I like that it has a future so you can adjust rather you want to hear footsteps a little better or if you want bass. I like that you have game and chat. This way if game is a bit loud and you have discord for instance; you can turn the volume of the game down to hear discord better. However, the software has EQ settings that you can set for games. But it is a pain to find your game as they are not in alphabetical order. I would have also liked to see browsers included. I use another software that I like that I can select what EQ out of 4 or so that I want that program to use. Games I select the game one. web browsers I use media, music I open under music and chat stuff for chat. Each of those are recognized under sound settings on computer. For Razer my PC only recognizes the game and chat. So, Web browser for instance, will use whatever setting I am set for. So, if I am set on game, videos will play under that setting. I have to change the headset to the movies or music setting. With the other software, I can also then select a profile under game to switch to a specific game setting and customize that. With Razer, you can select a game and then choose how that game plays when it opens. I could not tell if this works or not though. I would change this but could not hear any changes in game. I felt like the game just played on whatever setting the headset was set to. Some games would have immersive or competitive to choose but I could not see what those EQ settings were. I just was not to impressed with the software. Headset itself though. These sound great when you turn them to your liking. Great bass if you enjoy more bass. But you can also go thru and set the EQ to turn bass down some if you prefer to not have as much bass. My favorite future with these though, is that you can connect to your computer via the dongle with the 2.4ghz mode and connect to your phone via Bluetooth and listen to both at the same time. I was in the middle of a match and got a call and was able to talk while still hearing my game. The only downside and something I would like to see, is that I could not really mute the mic for the phone via headset to talk to my buddies on PC. On my PC, I use push to talk. So, I would use my push to talk and say something to buddies and person on the phone would hear and was confused. This does not affect my rating, but I would have liked a button maybe that would allow to mute the mic for one or the other. Not just the mute button to mute the mic in general but one that maybe swaps the mic between the 2 modes. Overall, I give it 4 stars as it's a great headset. I just prefer a mic that you can push up to have it mute and move out the way but still have it so you can also detach it.

I just recently had my Corsair headset take a dive and was in the market for a replacement. The new Razer BlackShark V3 Pro seemed to fit the bill since they have added active noise cancellation (ANC) to the mix and was a requirement for me. Let me say this, the headset sounds good, but not great. Treble is excessive and can be dialed down in the app, but I kept hearing a crackling sound (distortion) that I couldn't figure out how to eliminate. The immersiveness with spatial audio was also good and did a pretty convincing job of creating a seamless 360-degree sound field. Latency was also fantastic and noticeably better than my outgoing Corsair headset on wireless. Everything felt perfectly synced which is always nice. I tend to notice things being out of sync and will sometimes spend hours trying to figure out to compensate for things like lip-sync issues. So, it was nice not noting any issues with the headset. Battery life seems great and Razer touts 70 hours on a PC and while I didn't have a stopwatch set I easily got 35 hours and still had ~40% battery left. The ANC itself was really just OK. It could have been better if it wasn't for my number one gripe with this headset... the fit. I don't think I have an unusual sized head, but for the life of me I just couldn't get them to fit sealed over my ears. Because I couldn't get things sealed properly I believe that affected the sound quality by making them sound a bit thinner than they should have and handicapping the ANC capability because outside noise could leak in. That all being said, if you are a competitive gamer you really care most about low latency and immersive sound. These might be just the ticket, but for someone who games casually or uses their headset for more than just running FPS shooters at breakneck speeds then you might want to look elsewhere.

The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro ANC is my new favorite gaming headset. It works flawlessly across my PC's, iOS Devices, Nintendo Switch 2, and PS5. The ANC on this headset is revolutionary for gaming headsets, it makes my playing experience so much better! I can finally focus on gaming instead of other things going on in my house, and that has really made this headset stand out against the competition. I have really been enjoying the Razer Synapse 4 features as well. The THX Spatial Audio has been flawless for FPS games, I was really surprised how well this works in tandem with the ANC to provide a great experience with hearing footsteps and other sounds to really help flush out the enemies. The audio profiles pre built for games is also a nice added touch, and saves a ton of time that would normally be spent on manual configurations. I have also really enjoyed the Bluetooth connection to my iPhone on this headset as well, it has been great to wear while cleaning up around the house and listening to music. Overall I couldn't be happier with a gaming headset, and I know this will be my go to for years to come.

While it lacks the RGB that Razer is known for, this headset has basically everything else packed into it. There's a removable microphone that sounds really good, there's separate channels for game and chat when you connect the thing to PC, there's Bluetooth, there's Active Noise Cancelation, there's a weird little cable to connect it to a PS5 controller through the USB C port on the headset. This thing can do a lot, and I really like that. The construction of the headset is pretty high quality. It doesn't look bad either - it's got kind of that modern retro look to it, with the whole "ear cups held on by wire" thing that you usually see on old headsets from the 80's; but it's unmistakably a modern headset. The knobs and buttons all feel solid and nice to turn and press. The ear cups have enough range of motion that I'm able to get the headset to fit very comfortably over both ears, and the headband doesn't really dig into my head like some headsets I've used. It's lightweight enough to feel comfortable to wear for long periods of time, with a battery life to match. The sound quality is good. I'm able to hear what direction things are coming from, the range of the speakers is good, and there's no issue with stuff like bass drowning out everything else or the mids being too heavy. They're overall really balanced. I have not yet had a problem with the connection dropping or lagging, either - all of the sounds hit my ears at the appropriate time based on what's going on onscreen. I can't really stress enough how much I like this headset. I think it's my new favorite, honestly. I haven't found a single thing I dislike about it. I would absolutely recommend this headset to any serious gamer that also uses chat apps rather than in-game chat.

Very comfortable headset, and built in mixer, 1 down side you can only control Bluetooth through the phone.

It’s a pretty good product, but it’s new and it has a few bugs going on with it right now

I'm a fan of Razer products. All of my peripherals are Razer and I even have a 2021 Razer Blade 14" Do not listen to the sea of 5 star reviews. I give fair reviews of products and dont give 1 star reviews for no reason. This headset is so underwhelming, uncomfortable, and disappointing. It has earned the 1 star rating. Set up: Fine. Unboxing was annoying honestly and the dongle has to plug into a usb c cable? Odd. Razer synapse sucks. Build quality: feels light and cheap. The mic is detachable but fell out a couple times while i was gaming. The foam in the ear muffs doesnt sit well / mold well into shape while you wear the headset, It feels cheap overall. I could hear everything going on in my house even with anc on. Anc is a joke also you can still hear everything. Audio quality: tinny sound, very high treble and no lows. Listened to music, watched a youtube video, and played games after messing with the eq settings in synapse because i couldnt believe how bad it was and it changed marginally and didnt get much better. Mic quality: it sounds good but the v2 blackshark is better so im not giving a star for a company backtracking. At 250$ this is an insult. I will be returning. I was really excited to upgrade my kraken pro from years ago. But this is a downgrade. Spend your money elsewhere
